Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Babergh District

Such a sweet cottage: peaceful, beautiful and it was the retreat we sought for a couple of days quiet. We loved the area and we felt so welcome. We were particularly touched by the thoughtful provisions in the kitchen. Thank you Rebecca for everything.

We had an absolutely wonderful family weekend in Victoria’s beautiful farmhouse. There was everything we needed and the kitchen was very well equipped. All the bedrooms were great and the garden is beautiful - the children loved the trampoline! We also loved having the cats around - very friendly! Thank you so much. We had a great time!

A lovely cottage, warm an snug in the chilly autumn evenings. Very well situated close to Woodbridge with a good pub in the village with excellent food.

The house is absolutely stunning and Katie was a fantastic host, being super helpful and responsive with any questions we had before arriving.

A beautiful, spacious and quirky house. Many historic features kept in the renovations but nothing too precious so the children (aged 9-12) were able to play inside & out. The huge kitchen/dinner/lounge made a great family space to eat or chill out with plenty of furniture for all ten of us. We all enjoyed pottering about in the river behind the house in the little boat & Toby lent us a bigger boat & kayaks for a longer trip in a better part of the river. We toasted marshmallows over the fire pit, cooked pizza in the pizza oven & watched bats flying over the water in the evenings. Good beaches & a cinema are only half an hour drive away and the Emmaus charity shop & cafe (10min in the car, 45min walk) is well worth a visit. Good biscuits in the kitchen when we arrived was a nice touch.

We really loved our stay at the cottage. It’s very generous on space, very comfortable and immaculately clean and tidy. The hosts were very nice and welcoming. We would most definitely like to visit again.

We enjoyed a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend here. Lyndsay's was proactive and responsive, providing great tips before we arrived and was helpful during our stay. The house is fantastic. Lots of room and the garden was large enough for the children to run around! All the necessary amenities provided. Location is ideal as well...right next to a chocolate cafe but also for some nearby walks and beaches. We really enjoyed our stay. Would happily recommend.

Lovely hut in a lovely spot. Perfect for a weekend away. The hut was exactly as described and there were a few extra nice touches the hosts provided. Use of a pair of bicycles was great and we enjoyed exploring the area. We would greatly recommend this place and we hope to return at some point in the future.

Can't recommend this beautiful little gem highly enough. We came up to stay here as were attending a wedding locally and it was perfect in every way. Quiet, secluded but not off the beaten track and easy to find. Beautiful views, super clean and everything had been thought of. Our hosts were kind, thoughtful and friendly. We feel like we've had a mini holiday, The Lily Pad made our weekend very special. We will be back I hope next time we come up to visit.

Fabulous stay at Charlotte and James (just one night unfortunately) - wonderful property with the added delight of James' Healing Pool - one terrific achievement. Great stay. Great story. Perfect Airbnb.

Amanda's flat was perfect for a two night stay for a family wedding. It's a cute, retro decorated flat in a block of four in a cul de sac. It was clean, and the beds and sofa so comfy. Amanda was communicative and helpful when I asked for taxi recommendations. Thanks Amanda!

Anna’s was such a wonderful place to stay for a few days. Very private and quiet, but close to so many attractions if one decided to be adventurous. The space was clean, warm and welcoming. And the hot tub was just the icing on the cake after a long day exploring. We would definitely stay here again and happily recommend to friends and family.

The place if you want a quiet, peaceful getaway surrounded by the best of the Suffolk countryside. We had amazing weather for our one night stay. The bath was brilliant (takes a while to fill, bear in mind). The cabin was cosy and homely. I can imagine a winter stay would be equally wonderful. Being a Sunday evening and wanting a more substantial meal than was available at the closer (and offering food), we walked the The Poachers Pocket. About 1hr 10 mins at a leisurely pace along quiet lanes and bridleway. Looked like there was all you'd need to cook at the cabin and a large fridge. Would recommend to family and friends.

Sam was a lovely host , place was a tad difficult to find due to a road closure , but Sam was responsive over the phone and helped sort us now with no issues . Cabin was lovely , forest retreat it is ! Lovely and quiet . And her dogs were lovely . Overall a lovely experience , thank you 😊

Amazing lodge, very clean and had all the amenities needed. We stayed for 1 night for my husband’s birthday and the little touches were lovely. A bottle of prosecco and orange juice plus milk in the fridge, toiletries in the bathroom and robes for the hot tub! The hot tub was so nice, especially sitting inside and taking in the views! I couldn't recommend our stay enough, the cabin was beautiful, absolutely perfect for a peaceful holiday. The highland cows in the garden were lovely and there were bunnies everywhere - so cute to watch while having breakfast in the morning. There are lots of walks to do directly from the cabins without needing to drive anywhere, multiple pubs are also walkable and coming back to a hot tub after a long walk was perfect. Jo and her family were really kind, and put up birthday decorations for us and there was a little hamper with fresh eggs, bread, milk and cakes. Jo replied really quickly to our requests and made our stay as smooth as possible.

Lovely little cabin, just what we wanted for a short getaway. Our second visit didn't disappoint. Bob and Mary were very welcoming. Enjoyed toasting marshmallows in the evenings by the fire bowl, and exploring the local area by day.

Would highly recommend staying in the cosy nest. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful garden and lights up and night. The geodome is a perfect extra to such a relaxing stay with blankets provided. Everything you need is provided and in such a great location as well.
