Barn accommodation in Babergh District

Our fifth stay here, so you can tell how much we love it! Comfortable cottage is lovely peaceful surroundings, well located to explore the Suffolk coast and surroundings.

Excellent 3 night break in the well appointed Old Dairy with my wife, 92year old father and two border terriers. All members of the party were well catered for the wet room next to father’s bedroom was perfect and all the accommodation being on one level made the stay very accessible. The barn is in a beautiful peaceful setting a few hundred yards from the magnificent Snape maltings and a short drive from Orford, Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. Super walks for the dogs around the farm and across the marsh to Iken

Helen is an excellent host - very responsive and flexible. It was a weekend away with my family and mother, and she put an extra futon down in our room for our child - at no extra cost. The barn is very well equipped and we had everything we needed. Parking for two cars as well. Stunning views from the Juliet balcony upstairs and ideally placed for our visit to the opera at Snape Maltings one mile away. If we return, we’d happily stay here again.

We stayed here as 5 adults and a baby, it was the absolutely perfect space for us. Sarah and Ed were great hosts with helpful recommendations and very responsive. Very quiet peaceful location only a short drive from many of Suffolk’s beauty spots. Highly recommend.

Chris and Melissa were perfect hosts. With a very friendly welcome it was nice to meet them as they were away on our last visit. Georgie their sweet dog was very happy to see us and our dog too. The barn is a real sanctuary and beautifully furnished with the best kitchen. Garden is shared with a private corner too. Our dog could wander where he liked as did Georgie. Thanks will return again.

A lovely place for a break away. Cozy, but with plenty of space for two. Lovely using all the facilities available.

We had a lively stay at Helen's, the garden is huge and is fenced (which was handy with a toddler), it has a playground and a small house for kids that our daughter loved. It also has a direct access to a field with two horses that were happy to be pet. The house itself is very large, clean, with a play room and lot of books and boardgames, and a very well equipped kitchen. We felt instantly at home. Helen even gave us spices we had forgotten and needed ro cook a dish. And of course, there was the jaccuzzi! It was the perfect gataway for a long week end. Would 100% recommend!

Pop & Richard were very attentive & delightful hosts. We had a lovely comfortable stay in a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Thanks to them both.

The property definitely ticked all the boxes for us. We were staying for a wedding in the village. Having the pub across the road was a bonus as we didn’t really want to cater for ourselves other than breakfast and the church was only 200m away. The beds were all very comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms most convenient. Two had good showers and the third a bath with a bath/shower mixer tap. We didn’t need the fourth bedroom but had we done, although it didn’t have an en-suite bathroom, it did have exclusive night time use of a cloakroom next door to it. It was positioned away from all the other bedrooms so it was as good as being en-suite for night time use and of course there were still three bathrooms to use for showering or bathing, so not really a game changer if four beds were needed.

The Hayloft is a wonderful romantic haven , very relaxing and peaceful with beautiful views all around , Nicola is a great host who showed us around and was on hand if needed,

We had a fantastic stay. The location is so beautiful and peaceful with great views of the garden and the decking being a sun trap was absolute bliss. Inside was really beautiful and spotlessly clean, with so many extra touches, from fresh fruit, to brownies to fresh herbs. Kitchen was really well equipped with everything you could ever need. I was so impressed and would definitely recommend! Thank you so much, we loved it. :)

Absolutely stunning property with fantastic views. The hot tub was such a rare treat. I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone. Our host Katie was extremely good with communications and provided very clear instructions. 10/10

We had a lovely stay and found everything to be very clean and comfortable. A very peaceful setting tucked away in beautiful countryside Rebecca was very friendly and helped us out by giving a lift to my daughter to get her car back which we had left at the wedding we attended . Sarah and Scott are wonderful hosts. They are friendly and welcoming yet valued our privacy. The independent suite was super clean and cozy, and had everything we needed. The property itself is in a rural area, which we appreciated for its peacefulness, but it does require a car.

A huge thank you to Melissa - the barn was simply stunning! It had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Even when it rained, it didn't matter at all. The hot tub was amazing and the surroundings were beautiful. Definitely stunning!!

Our 3rd visit to this slice of paradise. So peaceful - with birdsong the only thing that you can hear and we absolutely love it. The MPC is one of our favourite AirBnBs - beautifully appointed, comfortable in the most gorgeous setting. We will book again for sure. We have returned from an idyllic stay at this breathtaking barn. Every nook and cranny is decorated with beautiful antiques, artwork and musical instruments and the setting is wonderfully private with the bonus of chickens and sheep on the doorstep. The property is very charming, with the advantage of a sauna to relax in. We used this both nights during our stay and played relaxing music through the bluetooth speaker which made it feel like a spa retreat! The quayside is just across the road and a small convenience store selling essentials literally a few steps away. We walked to two of the local pubs (5 min walk away) and had some nice food outside as we were blessed with the weather. We spent a day in Southwold and visited Beccles during our stay, both a short 20 min drive away. Andy and Katherine are both so friendly and accommodating and we’d love to stay again soon. We thoroughly enjoyed the 3 adjoined cottages as it gave extra space and privacy too. The games room is inspired - a refuge for older children or adults with table tennis, table football, a radio and outdoor games but an independent goal for our toddlers too with gocarts and balls. Walking routes from the door meant no travelling by car for us so we'll have to visit again to see some of the many sights we've yet to visit! There are quite a lot of stairs between all the cottages which the children loved but put their parents on guard! The views the hillside afforded though were magnificent. And the animals on the working farm were a source of delight. Well equipped, Kate was on hand should we have any queries.

We were looking for beautiful surroundings and peaceful location and we weren't disappointed. We could not ask for more. The cottage was spotless and Charlie was very helpful when needed. I do recommend the place with no hesitation.
