Studio apartment at the foot of Wartburg

Entire, independent studio, 52 square meters, with well-equipped, integrated kitchen, hallway and bathroom. The location is ideal if you want to explore Eisenach, the Wartburg or the hiking opportunities on foot. (Bachhaus Museum, market and Luther House 10-15 min., Wartburg: about 35 minutes (forest path), train station: about 15 minutes Hiking: The forest begins right behind the house and many hiking opportunities are in close proximity. I am happy to provide tips and information. The windows of the studio face the courtyard, which is partly green and serves (largely) as a parking lot. Various restaurants and cafes are on the way to the nearby city center (about 6-10 minutes' walk). The surrounding southern quarter is the preferred residential area of Eisenach and is worth seeing for its many Art Nouveau villas alone. In winter, the historic Christmas market on the Wartburg is a special experience (on all weekends in Advent). If the nearby Prinzenteich (2 min.) is frozen, it is visited by young and old for ice skating! The studio (non-smoking), which consists of a large room with integrated kitchen, offers space for 2 people (1.40 m x 2.00 m) on a comfortable sofa bed. Since inquiries keep coming, there is now the possibility of a 3rd sleeping place on a guest mattress. Coffee and various types of tea are freely available. Linens, towels and hair dryers are provided. Also of course: rinsing utensils/dish towel, toilet paper, soap, shampoo/shower bath. Guests arriving by car have a private parking space right in front of the entrance. Notice: actually the studio is not available on Wednesdays, (arrival Wednesday-evening is sometimes possible). Exception: school holidays. Note: With the exception of Thuringian school holidays and public holidays, the studio will not be available on Wednesdays from 4 PM to 6 PM. If your stay includes a Wednesday, you will receive a delicious breakfast as a small compensation. Just let me know your preferred day before arrival.

The accommodation was well located, about 15 minutes' walk from the main train station, and a few houses away there was a bus stop. Unlike the listing, the apartment had WiFi and a washing machine. There were several shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity. Excursions to the Wartburg or to the nearby hiking trails, such as the Landgrafenschlucht, could be easily reached by bus. For a return visit to Eisenach, I would stay at this accommodation again.

As a person who prefers “camping” in a fully furnished home, you truly cannot beat this rental. Sitting right on the edge of the national park, listening to the morning birds, having a beer with the honeybees, this is about as comfortable and as close as you can get to natural Germany as it gets. The unit was clean and modern, in the car, free environment was such a great break from our previous hotels. We hated to leave and can’t wait till we come back. Fully recommend!!

Stefan's modern and cozy apartment was perfect for our extended weekend. The old town is within walking distance and the neighboring supermarket is very convenient. Communication with Stefan worked great. We will be happy to come back sometime!
