Antonia no nos atendió, sino que fue Mihaela. Tremendamente amable. De hecho, hubo un problema con el suministro de luz en todo el pueblo y nos ofrecieron otro de los alojamientos que tenía chimenea de leña y cocina de gas. Además, por el mismo motivo nos devolvieron una noche. No nos faltó de nada. Sin duda, volveremos.

Luis's apartment is very centrally located. In fact Metro 3 entry is just infront of the building and in less than 10 minutes you can reach major attractions like Sol. Bus stand is also hardly 200 meters and Delicias station is just 400 meters. Connectivity from his place is best. There is supermarket across the road in addition to shops which open late night also. His place on ground floor is in a secure building with lot of open area. We really felt at home. Apartment was absolutely neat and clean.

El pueblo es encantador y la casa está totalmente equipada con todo lo que puedas necesitaer e imaginar. La limpieza impecable y el acceso, gracias a las indicaciones de Enriqueta, fue muy sencillo. Sólo destacar que, tal y como se indica en el anuncio, los techos y puertas son bastante bajos, por lo que si alguien es muy alto puede sentirse agobiado, pero creo que es parte del encanto de la casa.

This is a beautiful apartment, well decorated and in a wonderful location right next to Retiro Park. We stayed for a month and were sad to leave. It is a short walk to everything you might need, bakeries, food markets, laundry, pharmacies, shops, and, of course, this being Madrid, excellent restaurants and neighborhood bars. The metro was just a block away, and bus stops right around the corner. Gabi, is a wonderful host. Attentive to all our needs and inquiries. She and her partner not only remodeled this apartment with great detail to make it functional, but decorated it in great taste. They are architects! Thank-you, Gabi. Hope we can come back soon!

Beautiful apartment right on Plaza Mayor. Well appointed, really interesting antiques and art (and furniture), just a wonderful experience, practically and aesthetically. Really just one of our favorite stays ever. We happened to be staying there during the San Isidro festival, so the square was full of people and workers erecting a giant stage (followed by lots of sound checks). Worth noting that the windows do an amazing job of blocking out the noise from the square. Practicalities: great location (although there's a half block walk from any street), near the sights and the markets and so much of the heart of Madrid. Grocery store less than a block away. Tons of great food nearby. Only downside: the apartment was so beautiful that we explored less than we would have otherwise!
