Holiday rentals with lake access in Balloch

Wallace Lodge was by far the most beautiful and peaceful of our entire trip. The house was the perfect mix of modern amenities with a rustic feel, everything from the private Loch to the sheep in the surrounding fields made our stay even that much better. Wallace was a most helpful and gracious host, from letting us check in s little early, to showing us how to work the appliances. The hot tub overlooking the private Loch was the icing on the cake for this amazing place. would definitely come back here for a vacation.

Wow! Wow! Wow! We were totally blown away by how amazing this place is. What a beautiful, characterful home. Very easy space to relax in, with everything you need and more. Stunning location. Sitting in the window or on the front porch the views were mesmerising. Half an hour to Loch Lomond and The Cobbler. Discovered the sailing club across the road and watched sailing races while enjoying a G&T. Brian the host is so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again when we visit this part of Scotland. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

We stayed for a week for my partners birthday and had the most incredible time. The views were stunning and you could just sit all day and watch the wildlife on the lake! Beds were comfy and had all the amenities you needed. We didn’t want to leave!

Just home from a lovely family holiday. The place was great to fit us all in with plenty of space and lots to do in walking distance of the house, couldn’t be in a better locations. Made some lovely family memories to celebrate my parent 40th wedding anniversary. Colin and heather had the place decorated amazing before we got there - such a lovely touch! Thanks again! One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed - both the beauty of the surroundings and the house itself with gorgeous views and unique design and decor. Cozy living room with great view. Basically two master bedrooms. Great kitchen and dining room. Nice deck if weather permits. Close to railway walking path. I even caught four brown trout from shore just across the lake. Highly recommend!

We can’t say enough good about this beautiful space. The suite and grounds were Prestine. Decor is beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The overall space was very comfortable for 2 couples. We will happily recommend this suite and area to all friends and family travelling to Scotland.

Lovely home, we had everything we needed, so cosy too. Everyone was very happy. Even better than in the pictures! Very peaceful surroundings on Loch Fyne, couldn’t ask for a better view- really wonderful. Ann is a kind, responsive and thoughtful host.

Superb property. The house was very comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms all a good size and plenty of living space. The views across the loch are amazing. The kids loved playing hide and seek in the large garden, which is very private and not overlooked. We should have made more of the outside patio with the well appointed garden furniture. Lynn the host sent us really useful info about things to do and places to eat in the area. We did quite a few and they were all great recommendations. She also responded to queries about activities really quickly and checked in to make sure everything about our stay was going ok. Location is really good. Easy access to nearby Rhu and Helensburgh. We found it a good base from which venture out for a range of activities and big enough to spend time in the garden and house - and enjoy the views. A great property and brilliant host. We would highly recommend.

The apartment was exactly as described and in the pictures - fantastic value and very smart in comparison to other accommodation in the area. Gordon is incredibly professional and we’re really glad we chose to stay here. Some amazing hiking around the Loch too.

Really great communication from Gus, he wasn’t present at check in but information was clear and available which made entry easy and Gus was very responsive when messaging with query’s prior to the stay, the flat is spacious, well equipped and Inveraray is a cute place to be.

Instructions were clear and we had no trouble finding the place. Street parking - we found a few spots within 2- 3 mins distance. The home was kept very clean and aesthetic; we loved the vibe. Kitchen had basic amenities. We also loved the fact that footwears were provided for indoor use ❤️. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quite place. 🤍💫 Note - the flat is on the second floor. Heads up if you are carrying heavy luggage up the stairs.

Stayed 2 nights after the May bank holiday midweek late booking as previous hotel messed up. Great spot on Loch Lomond easy to find. Kitchen a bit small though ok for 4 people. Our friend had a camper van that was difficult to park but the neighbour was really friendly and accommodated us. All in all great stay would defo come back.

I rented the apartment when hosting my relative from Canada, they loved the location,enjoyed walks in the stunning park close by aswell as the coffee shops and local cafe. The apartment was well equipped, spacious and spotlessly clean.

The flat is beautiful and spotless. plenty of atractions in a close proximity, lovely view from the bedroom window. Suz is a great host, very proactive, everything went really smoothly.

Lovely place if you are a small family or bunch of friends. The place had everything - beautiful outdoors and neat indoors. The view from the place is breathtaking. Ticked all the boxes that we were looking for - proper parking, outdoor activities, fully functional kitchen, all indoor amenities. Andrew greeted us warmly and we felt right at home. This place also has some of the friendliest cats that just love cuddling all day. Highly recommend this stay if you are looking to stay in a countryside place close to Glasgow.

We've traveled around the world and this is one of the best AirBnBs we've ever been to! Views are spectacular, especially for sunrises and sunsets. The unit was sparkling clean and had such lovely welcoming touches (including a Pack & Play and milk on our first day which was a total save for our baby!). Liz was responsive and friendly. Would definitely recommend to others and will be returning next time we come to Scotland again!

We’ve just spent 10 wonderful days in this gorgeous cottage overlooking Loch Fyne. The area is stunning with so much to offer we can’t wait to come back. There just wasn’t time to try out all the seafood places in the area! The cottage is really well equipped with everything you could possibly want. Amanda’s helpful information and recommendations were brilliant. She told us in advance about the unexpected building going on nearby but it was not a problem at all as we were out mainly during the day anyway. All in all it was one of the very best holidays we’ve had in Scotland - and we’ve had quite a few! And all that in spite of the car breaking down on our last day and the AA, the builders and Amanda all coming to our rescue!! Thanks for everything Amanda. We’ll be back!!

Location wise this place is incredible, the cottage was well equipment, although it has heating (which I believe is based on additional costs) and a fire the cottage had hard wooden floors throughout, It did get cold very quickly. Also the extra cost at £150 for the week for our dog feels excessive. With the above said it was an amazing stay. Thanks again

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location. It had everything we needed for a great stay & was spotless, comfy and had wonderful views of the area. Peaceful, with a lovely cafe/restaurant only a couple of minutes walk away.

Words cannot express the wonderful week we have had on Loch Katrine. Old Smiddy is ideally located for hiking the mountains, lochs and woodland and Carole has thought of all you need to make it feel like a home from home. Having our morning tea watching the Barn Swallows and House Martins catching their breakfast on the lake in the sunshine was very special. Aberfoyle has all you need for food and cute shops and fantastic Doone Hill walk from the town - Free Parking!!! A ferry trip on the Sir Walter Scott from the pier over to Trossachs Pier is a MUST and the Primrose Hill hike was stunning. The Pier Cafe is outstanding, definitely worth a treat and just a short walk away. Thank you Carole for sharing your amazing house, we will be back to enjoy the hot tub and sauna 🤞

We absolutely loved our stay — it was everything we hoped for and more. The views were breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect escape. Our dog, Clover, had the best time too and made a new best friend in Bertie (Ronnie and Laura’s lovely golden retriever). It felt like home and we were genuinely sad to leave. Can’t recommend it enough — thank you so much for such a special experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First of all can I just say what a beautiful cottage this is, you certainly will not be disappointed. We had a fantastic week here beginning with the lovely welcome gifts left by Kate. We made full use of the opportunity to walk our dog across the farm and the surrounding area, he loved it. Far enough away for a complete relaxing get away, but close enough to all the attractions of central Scotland to fill your days. We fully intend to return next year. Thank you

This is a great place to stay - the view is outstanding and it was lovely to walk out from bedrooms on to the decking to enjoy that in the morning and watch the sun going down over the mountains in the evening. The beds are comfortable and the extra cushions and blankets much appreciated. The Braeside stores has a lot of useful provisions, only a short walk away. There are several nice places to eat/drink nearby and lovely walking trails and the beautiful gardens of Ardkinglas. It is an easy short drive to Loch Lomond. We loved Luss and the boat trips. Driving further, we enjoyed Inveraray and the gardens of Benmore, Crarae, Glenarn. Need good hiking shoes and maybe sticks for the hikes but we had the best weather! We stuck to the lower trails but our young people made it to the top of the Cobbler. Thoroughly recommended!
