Hanneke and her son are very welcoming, the cottage is freshly renovated and beautifully decorated, as shown in the photos. The nearby villages are very beautiful and lively: markets, restaurants and flea markets. Villeréal is right next door and has all the necessary amenities for a weekend. We are delighted with the few days spent here.

This place is great - we booked mainly for the pool (which is superb, and has the most wonderful views across a meadow to the woodland) but the house far exceeded our expectations too. The photos really don't do it justice. The bedrooms are enormous and have very comfortable beds, and the kitchen is very well-equipped. The whole place is private and has a great feeling of spaciousness, and we felt very relaxed and peaceful. We will certainly return!

This place exceeded our expectations. Part of why we chose it was the glowing reviews and photos of the place. It was a fantastic place to stay. Modern comfortable and classic wrapped in a medieval package. We loved the indoor and outdoor spaces. We really loved the little village that had both quirky and elegant aspects and had really good restaurants for its size. The Sunday market in the town was very fun with lots of food choices as well as clothing, jewelry and other fun stuff. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with many fun villages close by. We could not have loved our experience more. They went above and beyond to make our stay very memorable

My family & I have just spent a perfect week at La Closerie and we all wholeheartedly echo all that was written in the very first review (March 25). There is, quite simply, nothing negative to say. Marilyne & Jeremy were the perfect hosts who could not have made us feel more welcome. Marilyne told us that their dream was to create a space where several generations of the same family could gather and create beautiful memories and, my goodness, they have achieved their dream! We truly could not have enjoyed our stay more. Blessed with beautiful weather, we spent the majority of the week enjoying time in the garden, be it by the pool, long lunches and evening meals around the table, or just marvelling at the rolling hills that surround the property. Marilyne and Jeremy write about La Closerie being a haven of peace; a refuge where one will find rest and relaxation and this is absolutely the case. Each member of my family sincerely hopes to return one day… A very special stay indeed…

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by Andrew and Nicki. The property is spectacular, offering views over the stunning surrounding vineyards. The windmill has been renovated to a high standard, with a sophisticated and high quality finish to appliances and furniture . All amenities have been well considered and thought out, creating a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend tasing the selected wines on offer in the property! Amazing location with a spectacular view. Very spacious but the bedroom layout was not favourable for the second couple. Stairs could be difficult for people with limited mobility

The house is wonderful with plenty of space inside and outside The home was exactly as described—immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The location was ideal, plenty of nature, great walking and very peaceful Annie and Bernard were fantastic hosts: warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. Their hospitality made me feel right at home. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend their place to anyone visiting the area!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Alexandra was a responsive and attentive host, that was always happy to help when we needed it. We really felt she went the extra mile for us and it was so appreciated. The house is as the pictures represent - stunning, spacious and every little detail has been exceptionally well thought out. It’s peaceful, beautiful and blissfully relaxing. The village of Issigeac is absolutely divine and better than we could have imagined. For those with little kids, we especially appreciated the hard pool cover, which took the stress out of the pool with our 2 year old. If you are reading this review, pondering whether to book or not, just do it. You won’t regret it. It’s wonderful. We are already plotting return…
