Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Bedford County

Amazing lake home in a secluded neighborhood. This property is perfect for families! The basement provided numerous options with a pool table, table tennis and large variety of arcade games. The boat dock had a number of kayaks, paddles boards and was perfect for fishing. A short drive into town for groceries and supplies, as well as local restaurants to enjoy.

We only stayed for one night, but everything was spotless and very thoughtfully prepared. The host left plenty of clear written reminders, which made it easy to settle in and find what we needed. We also really appreciated the extra touches like snacks and bottled water—it made a big difference after a long day of travel. Thank you for your hospitality!

This place is awesome! It rained most of the time we were there, but with all the amenities there was plenty for us to do around the house. The dock is awesome, and it’s on a nice, quiet, spot on the lake. We hope to be back in the future!

Our family enjoyed a great quick stay at Fred’s house. He was really quick to respond to any questions we had & always polite. The dock is fully equipped with great things to use on the lake (water mat, kayaks etc) & the house was cozy, comfy & cute. We rented a boat from the Bridgewater marina which is really close by. I highly recommend catching a sunrise on the dock! ☀️ SML is beautiful!

This is our family’s third stay here, so obviously we enjoy this beautiful property! The home is well stocked, spacious, family friendly, and very welcoming. As a bonus, this was our first stay during pool weather, so we were able to utilize the beautiful pool/hot tub area. Bedford is a lovely location. Quaint small town but close to lots of recreation.

This is a very spacious home with enough room for a large group. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all great, and everything is clean. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a table that seats 10 people. It was very peaceful and quiet. It is an easy walk to the water and the gazebo and fire pit were nice to have. We enjoyed our stay and it was very easy to communicate with the host.

My family and I had such a great stay. The place is spotless and looks just like the photo. The decor was so fun and everything was just so well put together. Very comfy beds and couches and the fenced yard was so perfect for my two dogs to be able to enjoy the outside and play around. I highly recommend booking if it’s available. This was an exceptional experience for my husband and I. Michelle was wonderful, informative and kind. We had not one issue the 3 nights we stayed. The view is amazing and this condo has everything you need to cook with, make coffee, and more. Super grateful for this experience at smith mountain Lake.

Had a lovely stay in Dan's basement apartment! The unit was so clean and well-taken care of. It was easy to make ourselves at home. Dan and Karen are great hosts. My partner and I loved both restaurants and the hike recommended by them! Overall, this is a great spot if you are looking to get to the mountains easily and want great value. Thanks, Dan and Karen.

Staying at Traci's place was a quality experience!! It was beautifully decorated and stocked with amenities. The condo itself is very well built and solid, so that adds to the luxurious feel. It was the ideal spot for our girls' trip! Evening spa time in the deluxe master bath along with easy, walkable access to the shops, restaurants, and boat slips at the marina was the perfect contrast to our days of sun, fun, and outdoor play on the water at our dock nearby! We all absolutely loved it!

Loved staying here! It was perfect for my husband, baby and I. The renovations were beautiful and honestly had a lot of thoughtful little details! It was very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

The description/pictures totally matched what you got. What you don’t see visually from pictures but experience is a very clean apartment (in a beautiful neighborhood) along with little details such as noise makers, extra toiletries for emergencies (in case you forgot to bring like a toothbrush, etc) These little touches show that the host cares about you having a comfortable stay. We were looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay after a day of hard work in the sun. This fit the bill beautifully! The property is beautiful, check in was simple, and we could park right by the door. There were thoughtful touches like snacks and breakfast options, and we had everything we needed. We are staying there again!
