While having a friend visiting from the busy city of Fort Worth Tx, and having never been to Virginia, John’s place was everything and more. Perfect for a quiet nature surrounded vacation and privacy to match. Very responsive host, great nearby restaurants, and near the beautiful SML. Great place to end a great trip! Will book again in the future

We loved our stay here! Upon arrival we were met with a perfectly clean place alongside free snacks and other amenities. The unique style of the cabin by itself made it a fun stay but combined with how well kept Gretchen had the place and all the fun things to do in the cabin made it an outstanding stay.

The Copper Buffalo A-Frame was a wonderful place to stay for our weekend getaway to attend a wedding. We had plenty of space, the house was clean and well stocked and the views are breathtaking! We took lots of photos :-) Thank you for letting us stay in your majestic place.

We were looking for a cabin, hoping to find a quiet place to rest, relax and recharge in nature. We never dreamed that we would find an authentic 18th century cabin located in the forest on a mountain top - with an excellent view of the surrounding mountains. The inside of the cabin was beautifully furnished as would be expected in colonial Virginia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the experience of stepping back in time.

We had a great stay celebrating our 10 year anniversary and also a birthday. The house has everything you could need and we loved cooking on the grill and loved that the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. The house is the perfect layout for kids and dogs as well and the hot tub felt amazing after we hiked Crabtree Falls. The proximity to town and the local pie shop was perfect. We would definitely recommend to friends and family and would love to come stay again.

The home is lovely. The kitchen is well-appointed for making meals at home. The living room is comfortable and well-suited for hanging out. We enjoyed both the hot tub and the pool and the wooded area around the home, gave us the opportunity to see deer and other forms of wildlife. The area is quiet and we felt totally relaxed being at the house. There’s plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. Shawana Lynn and her husband are consummate hosts. They left snack and toiletry baskets, which we found to be very thoughtful and handy since we had forgotten our body wash. They provide plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows so guests can customize their comfort levels. Any issues that came up when we were there were quickly and graciously addressed. The amenities are perfect for a relaxing stay in the mountains. We also really enjoyed the location. It’s a beautiful area with hikes, nature drives, wineries and breweries. We had a blast here and we would totally stay again.

This place is amazing, the chalet was very clean and had everything needed for a nice get away. It’s located in a beautiful area with lots of farm life and is extremely peaceful and secluded. The hot tub is located in a perfect spot to either watch stars or the sunrise. Overall it was an awesome experience and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway. The host Coy was friendly and respectful and he responded very quickly to all questions.

This place was heavenly! The home is beautiful, the amenities Taylor provides are endless (spices, towels, toiletries, etc), and we had such a fun stay here. It rained for most of our stay but the covered patio allowed us to still spend hours outside. When we weren’t on the porch we were using the game room or cuddled up on the couch. We cannot wait to come back. If you have a chance- eat at Vinny’s! We went back 2x

Words cannot describe the feeling of pure calm that comes over you when you arrive. This place is truly a treasure hidden in the woods. Once you cross the creek you leave the world and all your cares behind. The host pays attention to all the little details and it shows. We have stayed at quite a few places but this one is on our return list. We look forward to sliding up for a long weekend in the late fall or early winter. (Tip- be sure to spend 15 min reading the welcome package it is time well spent).

The cabin is rustic. It's set on top of a hill in an opening in the woods on an active sheep farm. The views from the farm are stunning. It couldn't be any more private and any more beautiful. The front porch was ideal for enjoying a cup of morning tea. The bedroom comfortably fits two people. The loft is spacious and fits 1-2 people. Sarah was a very responsive, kind, and accommodating hostess. She welcomed us with some of her own farm fresh eggs, tasty homemade blueberry muffins, juice, creamer, and coffee. The cabin is located 10-12 minutes from downtown Lexington. The bathroom could be more private, but I would definitely rent the cabin again and Sarah was fantastic.

We stayed here for a wedding in Charlottesville and, while the cabin was a bit out of the way from where most guests were staying in town, it ended up being the best decision we made. Our group was too large for hotel rooms, and this cabin gave us the perfect place to spread out and relax. We honestly wished we had more time to enjoy the space itself—it's ideal for a peaceful getaway weekend. Unfortunately, wedding events kept us running around, but we could easily see ourselves coming back just to unwind and take it all in. The property offers plenty to do, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. A couple of small suggestions that would’ve helped us (specifically as guests getting ready for a wedding): a full-length mirror in the downstairs bathroom and some brighter lighting in the bathrooms for hair and makeup. That said, these things wouldn’t be an issue for a regular weekend trip. Overall, a charming cabin that we hope to return to when we can truly enjoy it!

Our family of three had a wonderful stay at this charming cabin! It was the perfect mix of peaceful and fun—the setting by the river is incredibly relaxing, and our child absolutely loved watching the horses and exploring the open space. The cabin was spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully stocked kitchen and cozy common areas. We spent our mornings sipping coffee on the porch, took easy day trips into Lexington, and enjoyed quiet evenings by the fireplace. If you’re looking for a family-friendly retreat surrounded by nature and animals, this place is a gem. We’d definitely come back!

We loved the large deck with incredible views! There is another property very close to this one so wasn’t as secluded as we had hoped but overall we loved our stay here. Go check out Eagle Zen Winery if you have the chance.

It rained the entire stay. While we had expected better weather, you cannot beat the windows and the sound of the rain on the roof, for a great getaway atmosphere. We loved it.

Such a beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle. Twas very nice to not even be able to hear cars in the distance.

Stay was great. Hike up to Crabtree falls was amazing. Definitely a great place to disconnect from the phone with no WiFi and connect to each other and nature . Beautiful property!

We loved our stay at Andy’s place! It was well-located for hiking (Sharp Top and Apple Orchard Falls were our favorites) and getting to town for groceries, a few meals out, etc. Sitting on the porch was lovely and the kitchen was well-stocked for cooking at the cabin. Would definitely recommend to others as well as stay here again ourselves!

Grateful for a wonderful stay! Directions and instructions were clear and easy to follow. The location is convenient to Peaks of Otter, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. I appreciated how clean and well appointed the AirBNB was and I enjoyed a very quiet and comfortable night of sleep. I hope to come and stay again sometime.

Our family had a wonderful stay! The place was pristine and everything was clearly labeled. So many thoughtful touches. Lisa was incredibly kind and generous to us, helping us feed the highland cows was an absolute highlight. Communication was excellent. Cannot wait to stay again!

This was a beautiful experience for us. We loved this gem of an Airbnb, giving a grand adventure from the trip there to the fire under starry night sky. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked and extremely helpful. The cabin itself was very attractive and clean. This is a great place for couples to relax and enjoy nature. It was so nice to have nature paths on the property to enjoy. Sarah is a great host!
