Holiday houses in Beira

We spent a week at Peter and Rosemary's lovely BnB and we could have stayed longer! The home itself is beautiful with a fully appointed kitchen, comfortable beds and a cozy atmosphere. We lucked out on warm weather, so we spent most of our time on the porch, with gorgeous views of the surrounding area, and in the pool. What a great way to relax after a day of touring local towns and riding horses through the countryside. We also found the local hiking trail that provided a fun way to see the history and beauty of the countryside. It was walkable to the trail from the BnB. Peter and Rosemary are amazing hosts. They welcomed us so warmly and made us feel at home. We enjoyed their friendship and their hospitality. We would absolutely come back to their place when visiting Portugal again.

Komunikace s Antonio byla vždy velmi vřelá a srdečná. Velice milá byla ochutnávka portského vína. Nedá se přesně popsat ten skvělý pocit z našeho pobytu. Místo mělo prostě své Genius Loci. ♥️ Děkujeme.

Alojamento confortável e com excelentes espaços. Pormenores muito interessantes no mobiliário da casa, tornando-a única e especial. Até à próxima visita.

This is a tranquil place to stay if you are looking for spot to relax! I would stay here again. If you are traveling with dogs, note that their rules do not allow the dog to be left unattended in the unit or to be on furniture/bed. They have doggy beds and water/food bowls for dogs if you need them. The units look exactly like the listing photos. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. If you are coming in on a Sunday plan to bring some groceries with you as there are not grocery stores or restaurants open nearby. I’d recommend going to Salto for a glass of wine and a stroll across the border to Portugal. This spot is also a great home base if you are looking to hike to the Dolmens or stargaze at the lookout for Berrocal de la Data. Thank you again for your hospitality. This was a wonderful stay.

Adorámos a estadia nas casas da Fontanheira, sem qualquer dúvida dou 5 estrelas. A casa tem todas as condições para um casal com 2 filhos, muito espaçosa, moderna e muito bem decorada. As minhas filhas dizem que foi a casa mais "fixe" onde ficaram, adoraram! Mas atenção para quem tem filhos mais pequenos, que o acesso à mezzanine pode ser um pouco perigoso, pois as escadas não têm proteção lateral, o que para nós não foi problema, pois as minhas filhas já são mais crescidas. Ficámos na casa mais afastada da piscina, que tem uma vista deslumbrante para a montanha (não sei se a casa do lado também terá). Ótima casa para desligar do stress do dia-a-dia e recarregar baterias no meio da natureza.

We were 2 couples staying in this lovely spacious home within the walls of Marvao. Loved being able to explore the castle and its walls simply by exiting the house. Driving the streets can be very challenging but if you are a skilled driver it can be done, otherwise, immediately after entering the castle wall, stop in front of the tourist office and carry luggage up the stairs the lead you directly to the house. Then park in the public car park. The house has many bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and functional kitchen. Highly recommend this home for your Marvao stay!!!

lugar incrível, tudo realmente maravilhoso e é notável o cuidado em cada detalhe.

La casa es una maravilla, preciosa e impresionante. Además está situada en un enclave precioso. Todo perfectamente equipado y limpio. Joana ha sido super amable y ha estado siempre en contacto, nos ha contestado en todo momento de manera rápida cuando lo hemos necesitado. La zona permite disfrutar de una estupendas rutas y cascadas, así como desconectar y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Sin duda se nos ha echo corto y es una experiencia para repetir. El poder ir con nuestra perrita es una gran ventaja. Totalmente recomendable.
