The schoolhouse has been charmingly renovated and features high quality fixtures and appliances. The decor is very attractive. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is very convenient for cross country skiing at Lapland Lake - literally a three-minute drive. We also went snowshoeing one day and the host was very helpful with details about trails in the area. In general, she was very quick to respond. We were two couples sharing the place and cooking together. While the house is big enough, there is no dining table, just a kitchen island. The stove is really big and with double ovens, but we had trouble finding ovenproof kitchenware to use. The regular fridge was broken when we were there (the host had told us in advance) and we just had a mini fridge. Luckily we could store food in the cars as it was either freezer or refrigerator temperature.

I truly can’t say enough good things! Our stay was just so relaxing and fun. You can tell how much care and thought these owners put into the experience. Just such a cute and super clean place. So easy to access and the water is just a very short walk across the road. We even had the opportunity to meet the owners in person briefly and they are just so kind and so nice! My husband and I are already talking about our next stay here!

Betty is such a fun and gracious host! Our place was pristine clean with a very well stocked kitchen-- plenty of utensils and nice little touches to mage itc warm and cozy. The river attracts lots of wildlife. Go to Northvill le for anything you might want or need. JF Farms has a great country store with a bakery next door!

We had an amazing time at Eva's place nestled down by the river near Northville. It was warm and cozy and provided just what we needed to seclude and explore the area for a couple of days. The house had everything you could need and we enjoyed the pretty snow and river. I can imagine it would be fun to try this cabin in a different season as well.
