Well what a beautiful little cosy cottage, perfect for a little escape! Honeyspot cottage has everything you need. We didn't need to ask our hosts for anything. The information guide provided has everything you may need to know. Alistair sent us a message before we arrived and came to greet us when we did, informing us he had also provided a little bottle of milk to get us started, which was unexpected and very lovely. The village of Winster is a stunning picturesque place and the local village shop has the nicest local produce, which we indulged in for our breakfasts. A visit to Chatsworth house is a must and if you love Italian food, Il Lupo an Italian run restaurant, which is about a 20 minute drive from Winster, is also a must visit, the best Italian food we have had that wasn't in Italy! Lovely stay, lots of added extras like breakfast cereal, yoghurt, fruit, bread, jams, biscuits, brownies and prosecco! Outside area was brilliant for us and our little dog secure and safe and a garage to park the car in. Would recommend

We had a wonderful stay at Rocking Stone Cottage near Bakewell. The location was ideal and just a short drive to places like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, and right on the doorstep of the Peak District countryside. The cottage itself was beautifully kept, warm and welcoming, with spacious rooms and generous en-suites. It felt like a real home away from home. Rachael and Gerry were fantastic hosts. Rachael sent through lots of helpful information ahead of our visit, and every one of her recommendations hit the mark. One of the best things about Rocking Stone Cottage was how quickly we could get out into nature. Within minutes of leaving the front door, we were walking through open fields with sheep and cows, and could stroll from one village to the next across the peaks. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both the cottage and the hosts - truly a special spot.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Chris and Jenny are fantastic hosts. The cottage is in a beautiful village and a short distance from so many picturesque locations. The cottage is easy to find and is absolutely immaculate with everything you need for a fantastic stay. It was perfect for us as a family. We were not ready to come home and will certainly be in touch with Chris and Jenny to organise a further stay in the future.
