Family-friendly holiday rentals in Birgu

Andy’s place was perfect for our girls trip to Malta! Very clean, felt safe and was only 15 minutes from the airport. A short drive to nearby towns like Sliema and Valetta. Would definitely recommend for your next stay in Malta.

A place with history, like so much of Malta but with all modern amenities. The pool and jacuzzi were really relaxing after a day's sightseeing - we spent all our time 'at home' beside the pool! Thank you Shaun for great communication and a great stay.

Stephanie was an excellent host. She sent useful information before we arrived and greeted us on arrival. There were one or two minor issues with plumbing that were sorted promptly and in a friendly manner. The place is really lovely especially the pool area. There were six of us but there is ample room for up to ten people . The Bolt taxi service is good but I would say a hire car is almost essential if, like us want to explore a lot of Malta. Mellieha is an excellent hub for water sports and the ferry to Gozo. Overall I think Citrine villa is a beautiful if a little faded gem.

The apartment is in a great location in my favourite place in Malta, super outside space for relaxing and enjoying the views of Spinola Bay You have an amazing choice of superb restaurants right on your doorstep. From the time of booking, communication with Tina was excellent – fast, helpful and with many useful tips (e.g. restaurant list). When we opened the balcony door, the breathtaking view of Valletta immediately inspired us. The location is ideal: ferries and buses are directly opposite, supermarket, restaurants and bars nearby. From the balcony you have a great view of the promenade of Sliema, and yet it is quiet in the apartment - the bedrooms are at the back. If we travel to Malta again, we would book this apartment again immediately. Small note: For Malta, you need an adapter for British sockets (type G).

Pawlu is a fantastic host. Super friendly and helpful. Great with recommendations and clear and easy advice on how to get from the airport and how to check in. Pawlu's place is a real 'home from home' type of place, we all settled in really well and had a fab stay. We'd highly recommend Pawlu's property to others. Marsakala is also a lovely place to stay, away from the main tourist spots, giving you the opportunity to really enjoy Malta as a local. The bus service is also excellent and we had no trouble travelling to various locations around the island. Thanks for having us.

My partner and I had the best time at Sim's property. It is a beautiful flat, spacious and comfortable. Sim's recommendations were spot on and not like anything we had seen before - his level of detail in the information he sent before check in was unheard of. We are very happy to have stayed at Sim's flat and definitely recommend it!

Robert (and his lovely dog Duke!) was an incredible and attentive host. He provided amenities (such as a taxi service from the airport; fruit, bread and water), and helpful directions and recommendations. His apartment was full of charm and felt homey. It was steps to the water, and had views of the Upper Barrakka gardens. I highly recommend Robert’s place, and hope to return soon!

Loved our stay in Valletta, everything was great. Perfect location and communicative host with great recommendations. A/C works well, kitchen is stocked with useful items. Everything you would need for a stay in Valletta!

This was our second stay at Marthese's place, and we just love it. Perfect for a quiet week of relaxation, always spotless and comfortable, and the smart TV is a great new addition if you want a quiet night in while you're there! Thanks Marthese!

A group of 11 of use stayed here. The property was amazing! Great for a hen party! Stunning views of the beach and the pool was lush! The communal space is very big and great for a large group both inside the property and out. The pool is a lovely temperature. The bedrooms had comfy beds and fitted everyone well. There were cockroaches sighted downstairs the first night, but they were everywhere is Malta so not a fault of the accomidation. We got taxis everywhere with bolt or Uber which were very reasonable. There is a local beach area you can walk down to which is really nice and peaceful!

I had a very good stay with my husband and son of 5 months old. We were very happy that we could borrow a baby cot and chair. The appartment and swimming pool were very nice. The communication was very friendly and clear. We had a great time!

Really nice little studio, perfect for a few days away. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Quiet area but still close to everything I wanted. The host was sound and easy to deal with. Overall, had a great stay—would definitely book again.

We had a fantastic holiday at the apartment and we didn’t want to come home. The apartment was huge and had everything we needed. Our 3 year old son loved zooming around the apartment and the space outside and the pool was perfect. Alison was the best host ever, such a lovely person and gave us great recommendations which we really appreciated. She had left plenty of essential groceries for our arrival which was super duper helpful, and even brought us an amazing pizza on our last night too. The location is so handy for shops and we could walk with a pram to restaurants nearby. We found a few local parks for our son to play in within walking distance too. We can’t recommend Alison’s apartment enough, and I’m sure we will come back in the future x
