Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Birkenhead

A clean, well-equipped unit, and we appreciated the comfortable beds, twin bathrooms and fast wi-fi. Paul was very responsive and accommodating.

The house is everything you would wish for in a holiday -let. Tranquil surroundings, great view across the water from the living room, comprehensively equipped kitchen , and all the accessories you would expect in a comfortable home. You do run into what seems to be Auckland’s little publicised gridlock on the motorways ( at least where I come from) if you want to drive into the city centre or back , during the morning or evening rush hours respectively, but you should be able to work around that on a holiday. I would recommend the property without reservation.

Definitely best place to stay for few nights at Auckland. The whole townhouse is an exactly clean and tidy space.

Perfect for an over night stay! Cosy and peaceful! Mattress was firm but we had a fabulous sleep! Shower pressure is amazing with wonderful products to use. Nice to have lots of tea/coffee options which as a coffee only drinker usually, it was nice to try all the varieties. Appliances to keep food refrigerated or to heat food were available and handy to use. I would recommend a basin, some dish liquid.etc that could be used to wash dishes as it was uncomfortable washing items in the bathroom. There were some cutlery and plates, cups which was helpful to have. A comfy 3 seater would be perfect in the living room and maybe a TV but not crucial when one is able to use own devices for that. I think white net curtains would be helpful in the living room as it felt very exposed with the drapes open, hence, kept them closed through our entire stay. The driveway is steep and therefore the walk up is too. Designated parking was fine but I felt like my van took up too much space.

Gerard and Judith's place is a real find. The bedrooms are spacious and super comfortable. The bathroom is spotless and modern. A bonus is a lovely, covered courtyard with a big outdoor table. The location is in a charming heritage neighbourhood and is easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. I am really hoping to stay there again next time I'm in Auckland.

We loved our stay at Bianca‘s and Hendrik‘s place. The apartment is beautiful, quiet, and very well insulated, just like shown in the photos. It’s very thoughtfully furnished and equipped with everything you may need during your stay. Especially loved the amazing bathroom. Highly recommended for a stay in St Heliers.

We stayed here for five nights to support some planned surgery at a nearby hospital and working remotely during the recovery period. The location was perfect for us and very close to the beach which is great for walks. The apartment is also close to Milford shopping centre which has everything you need for self-catering. Michaela was always very responsive and helpful with any requests and being able to park the car down the bottom of the driveway was really helpful. The apartment is peaceful and a great place to base yourself for a short or longer stay in Auckland.

My boys stayed at Tanja's place this time. They really enjoyed there stay - it is perfect. Will be certainly staying again. Cheers

Our stay at Jitka and Micheal’s place was amazing! Jitka was very response and helpful in accommodating our check-in time. The space itself was clean, had everything we needed, and is in a wonderful location! We were able to walk everything we wanted to do during our short stay in Auckland. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We had a lovely stay at Pam & Greg’s place. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the place comfy & well equipped for an easy & enjoyable stay. Pam also supplied a portacot, high chair, baby bath, toys, books etc… for our 15month old, which we really appreciated and meant we could travel lighter. The location is excellent - close to Auckland city but away from the busyness and with a lovely marina outlook. Good amenities in Milford shops & Takapuna a short drive away. The apartment was super comfy & the outlook to Pam & Greg’s garden is stunning. 10/10 would recommend & stay again.

Great location, quiet street 5 minutes stroll to Jervois Road

Feeling very refreshed after 2 lovely days spent at the magical Bethells Beach. Mary’s spot is a so peaceful, cosy and the perfect location to unwind for the weekend. Mary was incredibly helpful and kind and provided some great suggestions of the area. An extra special treat is Mary making us a yummy breakfast with eggs from her 4 local ladies and a delicious cup on coffee. It truly was a 5* stay and we can’t wait to come back.

The apartment was in a fantastic central location, you can walk absolutely anywhere from there. The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was modern with great water pressure in the shower. The small balcony was a lovely spot to get some fresh air. While the room isn’t huge, we felt right at home. Michelle was very responsive and kindly helped us store our luggage for a few hours after check-out with the owner of the Minimarket across the street for a fee. We’d definitely recommend staying here!

Jack is helpful and nearby. The location is very handy and reasonably quiet. The apartment is spotless and well equipped. Especially appreciate a few snacks and breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at Irene’s. It was great to be so close to the beach and there were lots of shops and cafes within walking distance. It’s a scenic 20 minute drive to Snow Planet is that is part of your holiday plans. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay a pleasure. Irene was so friendly, helpful and caring. We would definitely stay again.

Mathilde's place was lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable with extra bedding available if needed. We did put an extra blanket on the bed as it was a little chilly. The shower and good pressure and water was nice and hot. The night light came in handy as it made getting to the bathroom very easy. It was an unexpected treat to wake up to the sounds of birds and no traffic noise. Was close enough to walk to a local restaurant for dinner. The kitchen has lots of equipment if you decide to cook. Nespresso machine was appreciated for the morning coffee. We would stay again if in the area
