We are walking distance to Pequot Lakes, and just a 10 minute drive to Breezy Point or Nisswa for an amazing shopping experience. We welcome friendly, fully vetted dogs.

Our cabin is nestled in a wooded area & is very private. 15 minutes from 3 different towns with Wadena being the biggest. There's a queen bed on the main floor bedroom and a queen bed in the loft bedroom. WIFI/ cable television are available. Can sleep with the windows open or use the air conditioning. Outdoor pets are welcome, no pets inside please. You will have a view of the pond & we see deer on a daily basis. We will supply bedding, bath towels, cooking utensils, plates, cups & silverware.

It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Yvonne was extremely personable and great at responding immediately to any questions we had. Let my partner and I check-in earlier as our situation was a little different before arrival. It felt as though we were the only ones on the property, very quiet and peaceful and she was more than accommodating to our needs and plans. Also incredibly clean, we definitely recommend this stay!

WOW, wish we could have stayed longer! Would rarely stay at an Airbnb twice because we are always seeking new experiences, but this is a spot where we could easily spend a whole spring/summer/fall. It is exceptionally peaceful, private and beautiful. The big windows overlooking the lake make for an astounding view. While there is no wifi or central heat, you wouldn't want either. The wood burning fireplace was a treat in the evening - so, so cozy. Loved having a kayak (one-person) and a fishing dock right outside our door. A huge eagle nest is just outside the cabin at the top of a tall pine. Seeing the mature and juvenile eagle at that close distance took our breathes away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay in the Shouse. It was everything we could have asked for and more. Clean, quiet, cozy and comfortable. Delaney was very responsive to our questions. I love dragonflys also and loved all those scattered throughout the house. The lights around the ceiling were a nice touch and the smell of the pines outside was wonderful...we saw one of the kitties too. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay again.

We loved this place! The house and bunkhouse worked great for our family of 9. Everything was clean and well stocked. We had a couple of minor mishaps, but the hosts responded immediately and the issues were resolved very quickly. The big yard was great for outdoor games, and we enjoyed the firepit at night. The hosts also recommended a place to rent a pontoon, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and the owners of the rental place were extremely kind and accomodating. The lake was very weedy, but we were able to find clear areas out in the middle with the pontoon, where we swam and floated around on floaties. A few of our family members did a little fishing from the pontoon and caught some very nice size pan-fish and a good size northern also. Overall, I give it a 9 out of 10, only because of the lake. Thanks to the awesome hosts!!!
