Riverwood Hideaway

This off-grid, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. The cabin itself is loaded with comfort. A full kitchen, propane refrigerator, solar powered lights and a gas fireplace/furnace offer the conveniences of home. There is an outhouse and firewood for the outdoor firepit. You will have to bring your own water for drinking, but we provide hand and dish washing water at the sink. We have coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices.

Perfect for solo adventures & couples willing to pack-in/pack-out. You are the CLEANER (you must vacuum, wipe, remove ALL food/garbage/rocks/crumbs and leave tidy!). Take a quick walk to the nearby candy store and search for agates in the Knife River. Perfect location to take advantage of all the Northshore has to offer, as well as Duluth. Note: If you must cancel your reservation due to inclement weather in December - March, we will refund your stay. You must cancel on or before your scheduled arrival date to receive your refund.

Classic, Vintage Log Cabin on 2.5 acres right on Lake Superior - a cozy step back in time! 250 ft. of private bedrock shoreline. 3 Bedrooms: 2 Queen, 1 Dbl. 3/4 bath, kitchen, and indoor wood burning fireplace. Outdoors: both gas & charcoal grills, firepit, firewood, a swing & picnic table. You'll see birds at the feeder right outside your window, plus plenty of deer and eagles right out the front window. The nightly fee is for 2 adults. There's a $10 fee/night/each additional guest.

We are located 5 miles off lake Superior near some of the best outdoor activities MN has to offer: Gooseberry Falls (13min), Split Rock (20min) and Stewart river (3mi) for trout fishing.
