Holiday houses in Bonnie Island

We wanted to spend some time kayaking in the Shawanaga Archipelago, and when we saw Kim's cottage available in Skerryvore, we knew it would make a great base for our kayaking adventure. The cottage's location on the water in a peaceful lagoon connected to Georgian Bay made for a perfect beginning and ending to each day's paddle. The cottage was very well equipped, included a lot of extra amenities, and provided a cozy place to stay each night. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the evening, eating supper at the picnic table, and even had a campfire one evening in the provided fire pit. Since our focus was exploring the Archipelago, we really appreciated Kim's direction on a few places that we would enjoy while out paddling. As it turned out, we did manage to get to The Hole in the Wall, and to the little waterfall well up the Shawanaga River. Thank you Kim for providing us with a comfortable place to stay, and enhancing our paddling experience with your local knowledge.

Well where do I even Start, Claude & Brenda were simply Amazing friendly hosts, They absolutely went above and beyond to make our stay incredible! They made us feel extremely comfortable and took us out all together on an AWESOME ATV trail ride, which was the big highlight of our trip.... Shawn & I cannot thank you both enough for this wonderful relaxing fun weekend! I highly recommend Claude & Brenda's cozy beautiful bunkie!!! I would give it 10 stars If I could, You definitely won't be disappointed. Shawn and I felt right at home and made some even better friends along the way! Again - We simply cannot thank you guys enough! We will 100 % Be back soon in the fall time, we hope!!! Seriously ..... Don't miss out on this amazing little piece of heaven!

I had a great stay with my family for the weekend. All the amenities such as the jacuzzi, board games, and canoes were a plus. We were a group of 10 plus 1 dog, and we all had a lovely time! The only thing I would note is that we got lots of black fly bites despite all the repellant we used but I guess that’s expected for this time of the year. Overall, Dave’s cottage was amazing and would love to come back again!

Our stay at Harris Lake was nothing short of wonderful. If you're looking for a serene escape surrounded by nature, this is the place. Forest views and a warm lake is always what we hope for when visiting Northern Ontario . We got that and so much more. The sound of loons calling in the distance and occasionally up close added to the tranquil atmosphere. The highlights of the trip were the serene canoe rides along with the nightly fires by the lake were simply magical. The cottage itself is a true haven. It was clean, airy, and bright. It had a welcoming ambience that was a home away from home. Mark and Sheila are exceptional hosts. They are friendly, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure our stay was perfect. Every aspect of the visit contributed to a very comfortable and memorable experience. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind in nature

This place is definitely worth it if you are looking for somewhere private and beautiful. The cottage itself was big and spacious. The exterior was great, with the deck leading right to the water. The only negative I can think of is the bugs, which isn't a fault of the host, and it is definitely something I am willing to put up with for such a picturesque cottage experience. The host himself was easy to deal with. He was accommodating with any request/ question we had, and he always responded in a timely matter. All in all, this is definitely a place I would recommend going if you are looking to get away.

This location was a great spot. The bay was fairly quiet, and we saw wildlife daily (loons, foxes, hawks, frogs). Nice calm spot for paddling around in the canoe. The cottage was everything described, and good for a family vacation. Lots of places to eat inside and outside. Fully stocked kitchen and BBQ. Campfire pit for s'mores in the evenings. Shallow waterfront entry perfect for kids. The floating water mats were a huge hit with our children! Would definitely go back again.

Our stay at the Green Maple was fantastic. We went mid-June there were no bugs, the weather was great, we saw lots of wildlife. The location is fantastic, the cottage was extremely clean and perfectly stocked for a weekend getaway. Clear instructions were also appreciated. Points for future guests would be that the stairs to top loft are quite steep and would not be suitable for some guests. We did set off the smoke alarm using the incinerator toilet however this was easily avoided after practicing more care (just be cautious is all). The lake itself is a sandy/weed bottom mix.. can walk out for miles.. kayaking was a absolutely amazing here! The neighbors in the cabin next door are close by but there is ample private parking on either side and a tree line dividing the two. The host was super responsive and made staying at their property comfortable, laid back, and with a sense of mutual respect and good nature!
