Lia's cottage was really lovely. It was clean, beautifully furnished, and with a great sized garden. The location was peaceful, in a nice little village. Lia was really helpful and communicated well. I'd happily recommend the stay.

We’ve just come back from a short stay at Jacks cottage, this was our first booking through Airb&b so we didn’t really know what to expect, we needn’t of worried as we thought Jacks cottage looked even better in the flesh than in the pictures so did it disappoint. The place was spotless when we arrived which is great as it put us all at ease, we felt at home straight away. Jacks cottage is situated in a small and very quiet village, honestly there is no noise. We live in a busy town with road noise so going to sleep at night with no sound but the birds singing was lovely. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a day out walking and again was spotless. The cottage is in a perfect location to explore the Peak District with some amazing walks right on the doorstep, we particularly enjoyed Bakewell, The Chatsworth estate and finding the very local Robin Hoods cave ( what 3 words assets.joined.offer if you struggle to find it). We have just returned from a stay at The Stables. We both loved the accommodation and the location. The hosts made us feel very welcome and there was some lovely touches inside for when we arrived. The location is very peaceful and tucked away but also within walking distance of several pubs all serving good quality food for reasonable prices. We would recommend and come back again without question.

This was our second stay at The Stable House. The cottage is beautiful, well presented, and spotless. We love the peaceful area, and the views are stunning. The hot tub is a brilliant place to relax on an evening. Sandra and Steve are excellent hosts. They sent detailed instructions on how to access the property, provided a beautiful welcome basket on arrival and gave a range of suggestions about the local area. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the Devonshire Arms on our final evening. The cottage is well situated to visit a range of different places in the area or to pop into Nottingham itself. Would definitely stay again.

Very cosy, stylish and relaxing place to stay - lovely views, great pub 5 mins walk away and lots to do in the local area. Highly recommended!

Caroline's place was lovely, a peaceful break in the countryside! A reasonable distance from some of the attractions of the Peak District, including the Tissington Trail and Thor's Cave. The village was quaint and we had a lovely meal in the local pub, The Sycamore (recommended by Caroline). The only downside was the typical British summer weather raining down on us - wish us better luck next time!

Had a wonderful stay! Paul and his wife were friendly, welcoming, and the house was beautiful, clean, well equipped, and super comfortable. There was lots to do nearby, as well as lovely peaceful nature walks. I'm still getting through all the delicious local eggs, honey, and other foods I brought home!

Very walkable location! We stayed here because of chatsworth house and kept saying how much we love the area! The kitchen was stocked with essentials. The stairs were a little steep but nothing we couldn’t handle with a little bit of caution and the railing. Absolutely lovely stay! Thank you!

We had a lovely time at Matchbox cottage it was very cosy and clean and had great local pubs, walks on the doorstep. Hope to visit again soon :)

We couldn’t rate this beautiful cottage highly enough. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, fabulous kitchen, comfy king sized bed, lush bathroom towels and so much more. Laura is an excellent host and very thoughtful with the many additional pleasantries left for us to use. We first noticed on our arrival a dog bed with blankets, towel and toys as well as food bowls and dog treats and even poo bags for our little lady. Everything was provided for us to have a nice cuppa when we arrived along with lovely cookies and a bottle of water each. The information books were excellent too. We highly recommend this accommodation and will most certainly be returning in the future. Well done Laura!

Great little cottage in the heart of the Peak district, perfect for our family to use as a base to explore Mam tor, Castleton, Bakewell and the Monsal trail. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare, so would recommend using the gravelled space behind the gates.

Lovely stay, lots of added extras like breakfast cereal, yoghurt, fruit, bread, jams, biscuits, brownies and prosecco! Outside area was brilliant for us and our little dog secure and safe and a garage to park the car in. Would recommend

A great cottage, lots of space and well furnished and equipped. Good off road parking on a fairly busy road. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely revisit.

My Mum and I stayed for 3 nights at Lacemaker Cottage and we didn’t want to leave! It looks exactly like the photos and is a beautiful, welcoming and cosy cottage. The garden is perfect for sitting out with a cup of tea and admiring the beautiful view of the rolling Derbyshire hills. The location is great too with Wirksworth High St just a few minutes walk. We really appreciated the recommendations from Dawn & also her swift and clear communication. We walked up to the StarDisc & had a lovely meal at Le Mistral. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. This was a fantastic place to stay. If I were to run an Airbnb, it would probably be a lot like this one (I mean, they had bamboo toilet paper, how much better can you get?) Mal checked me in and showed me the basics of the place. He was such a cool and laidback dude. We met up for coffee the following morning and he showed me around Skopa, the zero waste shop owned by his wife Sarah (hence the bamboo toilet paper). That was such a nice experience. I went into Skopa a couple of times after that and picked up a good stock of food. I really like the granola that I got. Anyway, the house is great, and the view from the house is great as well. I wish I stayed longer!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Chris and Jenny are fantastic hosts. The cottage is in a beautiful village and a short distance from so many picturesque locations. The cottage is easy to find and is absolutely immaculate with everything you need for a fantastic stay. It was perfect for us as a family. We were not ready to come home and will certainly be in touch with Chris and Jenny to organise a further stay in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Barn. The host, Sharon, gave us a warm welcome and a warm farewell, and even baked a delicious lemon cake for us. The cottage is lovely, and had everything we needed as visitors. The décor was very tasteful, and we felt really comfortable during our stay. All of the bedrooms were lovely, but the upstairs bedroom and bathroom were fit for a king! We’d certainly recommend this cottage to other guests, as it’s in a quiet location but there’s so much around to do. Give it a try!

What a fabulous place! We were greeted by Socks the sheep and his two companions and that was the start of our welcome. The small garden was well-kept and the view was just amazing. We walked into the property and straight away felt at home. The lamp had been lit and everything was well set out and absolutely spotless. As we explored, we found a well-stocked firewood basket, a jug of fresh milk (in the fridge) and a tin which was full of really chocolatey brownies (yum!). The kitchen had oils, seasonings and well stocked cupboards which were full of every plate, dish and glass you could need. Jane had provided several tea towels, washing up liquid, cling-film, tin foil, paper towels and napkins. The bathroom had toiletries and big, white, fluffy towels. In the bedroom, the bedding was clean and crisp and best of all - the most comfortable mattress (away from home) that we have ever slept in. It really was a home away from home. Can’t wait to stay again.

Lovely cottage ,perfectly situated for all amenities. The cottage was as described in the listing. Nice touch of welcome note and bottle of wine. We were able to park car in front of cottage ,we didnt need to move it during our stay as we walked or used the regular buses with the bus stop 1 minute away.

Really beautiful stay at Top Cottage! As soon as I walked in I wished I was staying longer! The cottage is kitted out to a really high standard and was spotless. Coming from a City, it was so peaceful to be able to sit in the garden and hear nothing but nature! Loved everything about this stay and have saved it for future UK visits :)

The house is lovely, very well equipped and very comfortable. We live in Wirksworth and always recommend this place to visiting friends and family. Great quiet location which is also super close to town centre and having off street parking is a real bonus in Wirksworth Steven is a truly lovely, super helpful and kind host.
