Cottage holiday rentals in Derbyshire

We had an excellent stay at Scott’s place. The house had all amenities required and more! Therefore, we didn’t need to contact Scott, however he did check in with us to see if all was well. Would definitely stay here again

We’ve just come back from a short stay at Jacks cottage, this was our first booking through Airb&b so we didn’t really know what to expect, we needn’t of worried as we thought Jacks cottage looked even better in the flesh than in the pictures so did it disappoint. The place was spotless when we arrived which is great as it put us all at ease, we felt at home straight away. Jacks cottage is situated in a small and very quiet village, honestly there is no noise. We live in a busy town with road noise so going to sleep at night with no sound but the birds singing was lovely. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a day out walking and again was spotless. The cottage is in a perfect location to explore the Peak District with some amazing walks right on the doorstep, we particularly enjoyed Bakewell, The Chatsworth estate and finding the very local Robin Hoods cave ( what 3 words assets.joined.offer if you struggle to find it). Myself and my partner came to stay for 2 nights. As soon as we walked in we felt extremely welcomed and at home. Lots of detail was put into the cottage along with homemade cake and fresh apple juice. The surroundings were amazing and hosts had provided maps and allowed us access on the farm. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be booking to come again. We met both hosts who were very lovely and you can tell they have put a lot of thought into the cottage and hard work. There is generally nothing to complain about, the whole cottage was perfect!

This was our second stay at The Stable House. The cottage is beautiful, well presented, and spotless. We love the peaceful area, and the views are stunning. The hot tub is a brilliant place to relax on an evening. Sandra and Steve are excellent hosts. They sent detailed instructions on how to access the property, provided a beautiful welcome basket on arrival and gave a range of suggestions about the local area. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the Devonshire Arms on our final evening. The cottage is well situated to visit a range of different places in the area or to pop into Nottingham itself. Would definitely stay again.

Very cosy, stylish and relaxing place to stay - lovely views, great pub 5 mins walk away and lots to do in the local area. Highly recommended!

Great location and a very helpful host.

Caroline's place was lovely, a peaceful break in the countryside! A reasonable distance from some of the attractions of the Peak District, including the Tissington Trail and Thor's Cave. The village was quaint and we had a lovely meal in the local pub, The Sycamore (recommended by Caroline). The only downside was the typical British summer weather raining down on us - wish us better luck next time!

What a wonderful stay in Tibshelf!! Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Check in was easy and smooth and the place was easy to find from Jennie’s clear instructions. We felt so relaxed the whole time we were there and we cannot wait to go back again! Thank you Jennie for the perfect stay and your guidebook, we had some lovely meals out from your recommendations. 5 Stars all round!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jane's cottage. Jane was very responsive and kindly left us some food and beverages which we were very grateful for. Cottage was a great size and very clean. would love to return in the future

We had a lovely stay at Snaptin, it’s a beautiful cottage in a great location. The sourdough and chocolate were a nice touch, and everything had been thought of. Helen was super responsive and really helpful - she messaged to say we could have a late checkout, which was appreciated :) Would recommend 100%!

We had a lovely time at Matchbox cottage it was very cosy and clean and had great local pubs, walks on the doorstep. Hope to visit again soon :)

The most perfect place to stay for the Peak District. The location is ideal if you are wanting to explore & have amazing walks. The house was so helpful fully equipped with more than the basics - easy to live in and helpful for cooking. The host was so helpful and we had super easy communication. The area was so quiet and peaceful, gorgeous garden & very comfortable beds. Also not far to Castleton which is a gorgeous village

Our stay at the Hideaway was perfect! The accommodation was so comfortable and clean and the views were stunning! Corrie was a great host - thank you! Would definitely recommend and visit again :)

Great little cottage in the heart of the Peak district, perfect for our family to use as a base to explore Mam tor, Castleton, Bakewell and the Monsal trail. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare, so would recommend using the gravelled space behind the gates.

Really enjoyed our stay! Such a lovely cottage, it’s a tardis! Lovely walks around the area and a few great pubs! Would highly recommend if you want to escape the hustle and bustle! Great communication from the hosts, place was spotless and a thorough help guide on what to do in the surround areas! Will definitely stay again!

The whole property was exactly as described and photographed, but even better bearing in mind all details covered. Things like a kitchen equipped with quality items and a lovely welcome pack of goodies to welcome us were really appreciated. The bedding was of good quality and cosy, and signage within the property was minimal and well judged. All in all a very professional presentation making a very pleasurable stay. Thank you.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Chris and Jenny are fantastic hosts. The cottage is in a beautiful village and a short distance from so many picturesque locations. The cottage is easy to find and is absolutely immaculate with everything you need for a fantastic stay. It was perfect for us as a family. We were not ready to come home and will certainly be in touch with Chris and Jenny to organise a further stay in the future.

We had a lovely stay at Jane’s. Rose Cottage was very cosy and full of charm. The communication was very easy and the flat was perfectly equipped. Would recommend anytime !

Mandy's place was perfect for our visit to the Peak District. A lovely historic cottage restored to being very comfortable with all the amenities we needed and more. wonderful village shop and tea rooms across the road for delicious bites and little items to make our stay just right. Mandy was very responsive with helpful guides on local pubs and food options.

A lovely cottage perfectly situated in the heart of the hills, it has a great number of trails starting right outside, or a few minutes walk away. Cosy, clean, private and has everything you need. Very close walking distance to pubs and shops and Jill was so friendly! Would high recommend!

The Milking Parlour was a lovely cottage in a peaceful location with fantastic views out over the dales. There were some nice walks direct from the door and loads of other great walks with a 5-10 minute drive such as the Monsal Trail. Julia was always available if needed to ask a question but otherwise left us to it so it was a lovely private space. The facilities were excellent - we loved having a game of table tennis and pool in the evening and enjoyed watching the sunset from “sunset corner” in the farm. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to friends and family.

What a gem of a property, clean, very comfortable, extremely well equipped and in a perfect location to explore the Peak District. The beauty of the surroundings is majestic, could not ask for anything more. The EV charger is a very welcome feature given the dearth of public chargers in the area. Local pubs lived up our expectations. Patrick & Anne were most helpful throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anne's cottage and we will be back!
