Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Boone County

This house is a peaceful find! It’s set on beautiful land and has a sweet cabin feel! 3 bedrooms and nice space for the living room area! Stephanie the host was super accommodating and responsive!

Absolutely phenomenal stay! I have diagnosed OCD, so cleanliness is a huge deal for me—and this place exceeded every expectation. It was spotless from top to bottom, and I truly felt at ease the entire time. The setup was adorable, the rooms were spacious and cozy, and the attention to detail was unmatched. The outdoor area was something out of a dream—patios unlike anything I’ve seen before. We were lucky enough to spot hummingbirds, a fox, and even got to hang out with the sweetest chickens and roosters who actually love being fed and chatted with! More than just the space, the whole vibe felt welcoming and thoughtful. You can tell the hosts really care. I’ll absolutely be back—not only because of the cleanliness, but because it felt like a little peaceful slice of home.

Erin's farmhouse was very clean, remote, and as described. Erin was incredibly responsive to any message over the AirBnB app and provided easy-to-follow instructions for both check in and check out. The farmhouse is fully heated and airconditioned (with minisplits) and ceiling fans, but you can also open the windows and enjoy the sounds of the birds and the frogs. Bird watching from the back deck was an unexpected delight and the yoga mats that came with the place were fantastic for impromptu yoga on the deck during our stay. It is very removed, which is it's advantage. It's only a 1.5 mile run/walk or drive from the Katy trail, a 20-25 minute drive from Jeff. City. Very comfortable, very clean, well maintained, and with plenty of kitchen supplies and linens!

Enjoyed this beautiful, peaceful space just outside Columbia! Can’t wait to return!

The house is perfect! Such a great place to stay& walk downtown. This is an older neighborhood & is quiet & peaceful but just minutes from the bustling downtown area. The backyard area is wonderful. Jessica was very helpful and responsive when I had my dates incorrect at first. This house was great & will look to stay again!

This was our second time at the White Horse. The last time was a few years ago as I was doing the Katy Trail in sections. I would ride as my wife was SAG support and we stayed at locations across the state. This was a favorite, and my wife and daughter planned a quick Father’s Day trip to ride my favorite section of the Katy at Rocheport. We enjoyed the hot tub and plan on coming back for a longer weekend soon.

Susan was very accommodating and communication was at the highest level. The house is fully stocked with everything yiu could need and even some that you would not have thought of - like extra swimsuits in case yours didn’t fit. We were so pleased that we have already rebooked for next year.

Linda’s rooms on cherry was a great experience! Each room has its own theme, and I stayed in the Mark Twain room. Linda was a great host, and the location is very close to the university and right in the middle of the college town.

This stay was one of the better experiences I’ve had with Airbnb. Anne wrote us a personalized card and left us farm fresh eggs and locally baked cookies. Amazing! The place was so quiet and peaceful. I would stay here again! The only complaint I have is that we were unable to adjust the temperature in the space. However, Anne provided a fan, and it was cool enough outside to open the window.

I was impressed with the amount of love and attention to detail that Connie and Bob put into the place. It was a cozy and comforting stay, which felt like home. Outdoor arrangements were peaceful and beautiful. The little garden area is just remarkable! The location is close to downtown. I recommend this place!

The attic apartment was a gem! Lots of room and very comfortable to come back to after a day with our daughter and 2 granddaughters who live in Columbia. Any questions we had were addressed by Lola and Babek quickly. We for sure would stay there the next time we are in town!!

If you are doing stuff downtown, everything is within easy walking distance. Incredible location - now the other side of that is that you do hear downtown life until bar time. It is public parking - we used the garage directly across the street. The rooms are exactly as advertised, and if other people are in the room next door it is a shared bathroom situation - we didn't have to do that. There is a nice little kitchen if you want to cook meals. The host was very friendly and attentive all weekend, even leaving food in the fridge (eggs, juice, bagels, coffee, cake) and just checking in periodically. Our only complaint was a chirping smoke detector, which she attempted to change batteries and find the problem, but it was going to take more time to fix - wasn't that big of a deal to us. The rest of the house does have full time tenants and the AirBnB part is tucked away at the end of one of the hallways - but everyone was very friendly. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Great location to stay when visiting a Mizzou student. It was within walking distance to campus but far enough away the street was pretty quiet.

We were there to attend a wedding for the weekend. It rained the whole time, not Chris's fault! She was responsive to our concerns about all the areas of water on the roads. Was wonderful to hear the water moving after the rain, not heard before. Heard from all directions, not like hearing one river from one direction. Wonderful. Had a good time!

My wife and I had an amazing time exploring the area and enjoying how remote and peaceful Toby's place is. Would for sure come back for another stay.

stayed for a drs appointment close by and it was a great choice. very peaceful and relaxing. Jeffrey was quick to respond and very nice. daughter LOVED the cherry tree. the last bit of the drive leading to the cabin is a little rough but no issues in our charger. Will definitely be back to stay.

Great space, nice lakeside location

Had a lovely stay at Moonrise Cabin! It was exactly what we needed for a weekend away. Rustic but not uncomfortable, and it’s clear they put attention towards the details. The cabin was lovely, clean and well appointed (in fact the sheets were so comfy I ordered a set when we got home!). Already planning our next visit 💜

This was an incredibly beautiful and peaceful spot. The cabin was comfortably furnished and modern, but still had a rustic feel.

We stayed at the cabin at Pretty Lake for our son's Mizzou graduation weekend and absolutely loved it. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. It felt like going to a friend's cabin where you could just unwind. We used the hot tub every day and drank coffee on the pier every morning where we saw wild turkeys, deer and bald eagles. The cabin was great for our group of 3, but would not work as well for couples as there is only one bedroom (with king bed and bunk beds). Jack and Abby have another property closer to the Mizzou stadium that looks beautiful that can hold more people and would be ideal if you're in town for homecoming, mom's weekend, etc. The cabin was one of the most well appointed Airbnb's I've ever stayed in which made it feel so homey. It's hard to pick a favorite thing about the cabin, but the modern outhouse with outdoor shower is definitely up there!

This spot was a great fit for our young family of 7. It was a peaceful setting and the accommodations were as expected. We will return to this location if we are in the area in the future.
