This historical house has stunning vaulted sandstone ceilings and rooms decorated in Scandic-Italian style. A spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a small lounge area with private entrance from the street. A fantastic location but not for the faint hearted, lots of steps, but it's worth it. Bring your sneakers !

We had a wonderful stay at Eleonora’s apartment. It was just gorgeous spotlessly clean light bright and spacious and the location was perfect. The view from the terrace was so lovely. Eleonora made us the yummiest pikelets for breakfast. It was also a bonus having a washing machine to wash our clothes. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay while visiting stunning Matera.

What a great place to stay when visiting Matera. It’s about 5 minutes walk to the Piazza Victorrio. So many restaurants nearby. The place was clean and very spacious. Bruna and her husband met us and helped with the parking. She was always very responsive to What’s app. Will definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting Matera. Thanks Bruna for letting us stay in your beautiful place.

We would like to thank Giovanna and Mirko for their help and assistance in our stay at Matera. The position of the apartment is perfect and allows you to get to everything. They had probably the best selection of local information and had a list of recommendations ready for us. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Matera is a unique and wonderful place and we would recommend that anyone that has a chance goes there and if you want a place to stay this is it. Just be aware that the apartment is in Sasso Caveoso which means that there are a number of steps to get to it. For us it was not an issue, but for some it may be. For us I thought that it was a perfect place and Giovanna and Mirko were perfect hosts.

This apartment is beautifully renovated with a style that complements the old building. it's really spacious and has everything you would need for a few nights in Matera. Ideally located just outside of the old part of the city and Cinzia gave lots of helpful recommendations in advance. Secure parking nearby.

Ideally located accommodation in a peripheral neighborhood without through traffic and yet very close to the center, which is easy to reach on foot. The apartment is stylishly furnished and everything you need is available. On the small balcony, we had breakfast and enjoyed the view of the old town and the countryside.
