What a special place! I wish I had booked for longer. Otters Rest is is found in a quiet, secluded and private little nook of Clitheroe. The river right underneath you is the most relaxing sound, and the place itself is just stunning. Even the small details down to the underfloor heating in the bathroom and the glass ceiling which makes you feel as though you are showering in the woods… it was perfect. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for some peace and tranquility in a stunning little sun trap ☀️

Thanks Mechele. what a great find. Boudica your cat met us at the glamping pod to greet us and came for a stroke often. We had everything we needed provided and the air con worked super well. There are lots of little touches and everything is clean and homely. The description and information provided is very helpful. We loved being here and we wish you all the best. Su is a fantastic warm, friendly and very accommodating host. The cabin is beautiful and very well equipped. The location is perfect for exploring nearby villages and is quiet and cosy. We had a wonderful night here

Folks travelling to Moorland, this is the place to stay. Get in the farmland, lose yourself unto nature. Heavens fall here. Special mention of the sheep and Cheddar, the cheesecat. Children enjoyed their hearts out with them. We rolled on the meadows, walked around and mesmerized every moment. Suzanne was very kind and helpful. She gave us extra utensils to cook a basic meal for my children. The outdoor cooking unit was great. Though its very windy, still the gas worked really well. Moorland and Serenity will be etched on our minds forever. We definitely recommend to all. Please come and stay.

Lovely little place, perfect for a get away break. The hottub was great to relax in. The goats are gorgeous and so friendly. The family dog was a welcome visitor. Amazing to sit and listen to the birds and look at the beautiful scenery.

I had an absolutely blissful stay at Johns place. It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many lovely animals, and the views from inside the hut are incredible. A very special spot.

We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed our time on the farm. It was a shame we couldn’t stay longer but we were so pleased with the late check out, thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and loved our little hut. Thank you to Dot and her team for being so welcoming and for a great trip for my birthday. Only downside is that we never got to meet the infamous Tommy cat 🙈 Thank you again and we will definitely be back xx

This is a quirky little place to stay and the surroundings of very peaceful. Just be mindful if you have mobility issues as you may struggle to get up and down the ladder to the sleeping area, but other than that, it is a novelty stay for a night when in the area. The hosts were really friendly and lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

We really loved our stay. The cabin was clean and tidy when we arrived. It had all the amenities we needed for the stay from the kettle, fridge and utensils all the way to the towel and body wash. Honestly you could come unprepared and it will be fine.

Had a fabulous stay , the property is beautifully presented , nice touches Prosecco and beer on arrival . Plenty of places to explore. Would definitely return Thank you

We were made really welcome on our arrival and both Fiona and Andrew were very quick to let us know the best places to visit. Unfortunately I found on arrival that I had made a mistake in where we were because I was as looking for a place near Pickering and didn’t realise that there are two Pickerings in North Yorkshire and I had gone to the wrong area. As we were visiting a friend who had moved up to Malton we didn’t see much of the area we were staying in but we will go back there soon to see it because it had a lot to see. We would be very happy to stay at Fiona and Andrew’s property especially as they are so welcoming and helpful. We should also say thank you to Blue, their dog, who was very happy to keep our dog company.

This wonderful cabin was literally a late night booking for the following two days. Alyson was right on to it and it was booked before I went to bed! I know the area and I enjoyed my walks and memories. Alyson and David couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly not forgetting Alyson’s mum too! The cabin is just perfect with everything you would need and I think the saying is Small but perfectly formed. It was just what I needed, quiet and peaceful but I also enjoyed chatting on the sun soaked patio! Alyson and David should be immensely proud of what they have achieved…Perfection! I will hopefully be staying again in the near future. BTW the shower is so good!

We have just got back after a long weekend here. The trip was just what we needed from start to finish. Check in was easy, Lee was great at communicating and the cabin was just as described. The hot tub was amazing, lovely and warm and the lights added extra ambience. The cabin was perfect and we loved how unique it was. The bathroom has a great vibe and the shower was great, really warm and great pressure. All the cooking utensils were available for burgers on the BBQ and marshmallow toasting at night! The bed was comfy and cosy and we really liked the storage bit underneath for bags. The cabin itself was in a lovely secluded spot, we had the curtains open in the living area all weekend to watch the sunrise in a morning which was lovely. And also not too far from York city which we ventured to one day. Overall, the whole stay was made perfect by the cabin. Thanks Lee 😊

we had a wonderful 1 night stay at the bungalow. Helen, our host was quick to respond to any questions and the place was clean, tidy and well equipped for everything we needed.

Exactly what we had hoped it would be. Cosy, clean and well equipped. Perfect for a couple of nights rest and relaxation. Lovely pubs and the village of Bedale was great for a little wander. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend. Thank you 😊
