I am a charming renovated family home, old farmhouse, on the edge of the forest, in a quiet and bucolic environment. I'm the perfect retreat for lovers of hikes, nature, and old stones. Please note that parties are not allowed! It will be possible for you to practice cycling, mountain biking, tree climbing, fishing in the river not far away, taking long forest walks.. Besançon and its historic center are 20 minutes away. Welcome to “La Maison Maire”!

This chalet is located on the heights of Salins-les-bains, (5 minutes walk from the city center). The view is magnificent over the city, the two forts that overlook it and Mount Poupet. Salins is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a spa town with its casino, all shops (bakery and supermarket within a 5-minute walk) and its unique Salines in Europe. From Salins you can discover the whole region with its lakes, waterfalls, plain and mountain landscapes.

Ideal for hiking, relaxation, discovery of the Jura, paragliding, mountain biking, thermal baths of Salins le Bains.... and even for work (high-speed WiFi via fiber optic, quiet)

In the heart of "the Loop" of Doubs, my accommodation is close to the city center, the cycle route, places of art and culture (Vauban citadel, city of Arts) and public transport (tram 400 m away). You'll love it for the comfort, the high ceilings, the location, and the view of the Doubs. My place is good for couples and families. There is an extra bed in the library for a 5th person.
