Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings. Really responsive and friendly host. En-suite bathrooms to each bedroom and the beds were super comfy. Great parking and charger for electric car - lovely walks nearby along the river and the horse in the field behind had just given birth to a foal so our daughter was mesmerised. Oh I forgot the hot tub - that was great too!

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Beautiful location for a lovely farm stay, great views from the hot tub! Loved being able to watch the cows and sheep. Claire was lovely and was ready to help at any moment despite us arriving so late at night! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Cosy cottage with access to private beach on Windermere Fabulous hot tub, thoughtful touches everywhere - towels and sliders for the hot tub/lake, welcome hamper with lots of goodies, lovely wood burning stove Sauna and table tennis and marble run through the wood available - we didn’t have time to use everything - thanks for a lovely stay

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Teapot Cottage is a beautiful place to stay. It was very well kitted out, decorated very nicely, and had lots of nice touches to make our stay even better. Lammisa was a great host - very responsive and friendly, and was happy to help whenever needed. There's great local amenities within walking distance, and several local villages and towns within a short drive, including Ennerdale Lake. The place was very comfortable, with plenty of seating indoor and out, with several comfy beds suitable for a group of adults. The only thing to be aware of is that the bedroom with the bunk beds has very little storage space, so if you're staying for a few days and have a large bag/suitcase - you'll need to find somewhere else to put it! Overall - we were all very pleased with this stay and we'd definitely book again in future.

An excellent cottage walking distance to the town centre. Close to pubs and shops. The property was in excellent condition and the welcome pack was very nice. Excellent stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Silver Howe, the cottage was perfect for exploring the Lakes. It was a real home from home with a handy local shop and pub. The private fenced garden was great as we had our dog with us, it also kept out the local sheep! Would recommend Rebecca’s place for a visit, it was clean, has great amenities and lots of character and charm. The lovely walk along the river to Elterwater is recommended, as is a stop at the Britannia Inn, the food was very good. Overall a great stay, thank you.

We had a fantastic stay here while visiting friends in the lakes! Place was really cosy and homely and the location was very peaceful and gave some lovely views too.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage on Wastwater. The setting is stunning — right on the lake and surrounded by beautiful walking routes, perfect for exploring with our 18-month-old and dog. The cottage is tucked away on a peaceful farm with a great outdoor seating area to enjoy the views. It’s quite remote, with the nearest proper shop about 30 minutes away, but the nearby campsite shop (just half a mile down the road) had the essentials we needed. Other than that, everything was perfect. A truly relaxing break in a beautiful location — we’d definitely recommend it!

Our stay was home from home fantastic location with great views. The house had plenty of room was comfortable and very relaxing. Mike and Hazel were super hosts all our needs were taken care of. We will most definitely be booking another stay soon.

A real gem. It’s better than the photos show. Full of character yet modern standards and amenities. Quality furnishings and kitchen equipment. Excellent mattress, soft, comfortable sheets and towels. So lovely that it’s family owned from someone born and still living in the area. Everything has been thought through so well equipped. Can’t wait to come back. We loved every minute of our stay. We had a fantastic week in the Lakes staying at the bothy. John and Julia are warm, friendly and thoughtful hosts and the space was perfect (and more spacious than the photos suggest). The bothy was well appointed with everything we needed and the beautiful cottage garden was an added bonus - secure for our dog and a peaceful haven to enjoy the morning/evening sunshine. Highly recommend

We loved our stay in this cosy cottage. It's in the perfect location for amenities and for travelling to different spots around the lakes whilst still feeling remote and peaceful. The back garden is fully enclosed so was perfect for our two dogs. We even saw a lamb on the back wall of the garden before it scampered away to the field behind the property. Parking on the drive is easy and it's directly in front of the cottage. We would definitely stay in this property again, it's location was just perfect for adventures in the Lake District.

We had an exceptional stay at Manesty ! The location in was absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery that made the visit truly special. The area was calm and peaceful, providing the perfect retreat from daily life. The host's instructions were clear, making the check-in process seamless. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Lake District in a serene and relaxing

Lovely clean cottage, exactly As described, decorated lovely throughout with attention to detail. We loved the big map in the kitchen. Also loved the river greta running behind the property. It’s in a great location for Keswick just a 10min walk to the centre. The pub opposite was perfect and we also loved the milk shed across the road at the garage. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone stopping in the Keswick area

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Crook a Beck Barn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. It is well equipped, with a great kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space and a large walk in shower alongside a large bath. It is in a peaceful setting with beautiful views and has all levels of walks available straight from the property. We enjoyed the extras especially the lemon drizzle cake made by Judith. We will definitely books this property again on our next visit to Patterdale.

This was our third time staying here. The children (2 and 5) love it: the trampoline in the garden and the books, games and toys inside. It's so spacious and comfortable that staying inside if the weather is bad does not leave you feeling cooped up. The location is wonderful. You can walk straight out the door and up Blencathra plus lovely walks in every other direction too. Also great for cycling. With a half hourly bus service to Penrith and Keswick (with onward connections to much of the Lake District) it's easy to get around. Jonny is super helpful with any needs you might have and makes you feel so welcome.

We loved staying in this remote idyllic home. Just right for two, with beautiful views to the south and west. A perfect base for exploring the Lake District. Loved it

A fantastic option for our week in the Lake District. Conveniently situated, spotlessly clean and well equipped. A very comfortable place that exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back.

All you could want from a one bed b & b. Big comfy bed, big comfy lounge, kitchen superbly equipped and a bathroom with bath AND separate walk-in shower. All this and Heather lives next door if you need her. As for location, three local pubs, all good and a great location for exploring the northern lakes. Thanks Heather

We really liked Jim’s cottage. It is a period building, full of character and tastefully furnished. The hamlet of Mosedale is lovely, away from the crowds that blight much of the Lake District, and there’s some great hills you can walk to from the door. This being Cumbria it may well rain, but the cottage is well stocked with games, books and dvds. A lovely spot to stay!
