Holiday rentals with lake access in Brunswick County

You will not be disappointed, we loved the cottage. It was exactly as described and lacking nothing. The next time we visit this area again we sure hope this is available. The only complications we had was with google maps. It kept showing the cottage on the lake side of the road when it is actually across the street. It took us a couple of passes but we figured it out.

Kim’s place was exactly as described! Location was great, very convenient to many things in Wilmington! I loved being able to bring my fur baby as well! Thank you!

Chris and Misty were absolutely lovely people! I am so glad we got to meet them. The house was very nice and comfortable. The dock and entertainment items were perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. We really hope to go back.

Lisa and Terra’s home is beautiful. And it’s on a lake! I especially loved being able to see all the way through the house out to the lake while making coffee in the kitchen before taking the mug out to the dock. What a serene setting! I very much enjoyed a quiet few days with my dog here. Called my bestie on the drive home and told her what a great place it would be for a girls’ weekend. Hope to return for that! The nearby state park and Waccamaw Lake Dam were fun to explore, and the house was spotless with super comfy bedding and furnishings. Incredibly friendly hosts! Thank you, Lisa and Terra!

Dune Daddy was such a wonderful, memorable experience. The cottage is decorated beautifully and being right on the beach with an outside shower and lovely porch to sit on in the mornings and evenings was such a joy. I highly recommend this rental and hope to return there again in the future!

Staying at Anthony’s was like stepping back to a more gracious time ( with all the modern conveniences) . Sitting on the front porch for morning coffee & afternoon tea , looking through the trees draped in Spanish moss , was a rare gentle & civilized ‘ southern treat ‘ for all of us. Many thanks!

Our host was super responsive and helpful with any questions we had during booking and the duration of our stay. The home and property is beautiful and is a reasonable distance from downtown and the beach. My family enjoyed the huge windows in the main living space, fishing, paddle-boating, and using the fire pit to make s'mores! The layout provided enough space for our family and privacy. Our host even thought about deep woods bug spray which came in handy when we were fishing around the lake on the property. (Super thoughtful and much needed) We can't wait to book again in the future.

Five Stars All the Way! We had the most incredible stay at Vaycash on Bald Head Island! From the moment we walked in, it felt less like a rental and more like staying at a dear friend’s beautiful home. Stef has thought of everything—the home is gorgeously decorated, full of charm, and stocked with more amenities than any place we've ever stayed. This was hands-down the most above-and-beyond experience we’ve ever had with an Airbnb. Every detail was thoughtfully done—from the fully equipped kitchen (a dream to cook in!) to the peaceful, tucked-away location in the woods that gave us the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. The golf cart made exploring the island a breeze, and the kids were thrilled with the bikes and kayaks. Stef’s generosity and attention to detail made this getaway truly special—we didn’t want to leave! We can’t recommend Vaycash highly enough and are already dreaming about our next visit.

Beautiful studio in a quiet and walkable neighborhood! The space was clean and cozy, and close to several beaches. Host was responsive and very welcoming- will definitely rebook if we visit again!

I enjoyed my stay! I planned a weekend trip for a birthday, and we definitely enjoyed ourselves! Megan gave perfect instructions on getting to/into the home, and made us feel welcomed!

This place was a GEM of a find! Location couldn’t have been better if you’re someone who enjoys being right above the glittery blue water of Carolina Lake and a short stroll to the ocean! I’m extremely picky about mattresses and the bed was SO comfortable and sheets/pillows/towels were clearly quality. Two porches to watch the sunrise from was a big bonus. Shelia was extremely helpful and went above and beyond as a host. We can’t wait to come stay again!

Amazing space, clean and small. Close to everything, short walk to the beach/short drive to Wilmington. Yelena is a very helpful host, any concerns we had, she delivered help. Remember that this airbnb is shared, you may hear the neighbors occasionally. We are extremely grateful for Yelena’s help in that regard! Would love to visit again ❤️

Kara is the property manager and she was SUPER sweet, helpful and responsive. The beds were very comfortable and I LOVED how you can rent the golf carts (someone previously mentioned battery would die quick but that’s if your gone hours & hours just like you’d run out of gas) everything was nearby and we saved a lot of money and time with the golf carts due to parking, access to beach and price to rent. If you were to actually rent one from certain places it was WELL over $200/day. So Loreen was doing us a favor and making it more affordable lol The place was very clean ! I am a neat freak and super clean myself so I was on the look out 👀 but this place was very clean. Only reason I can’t go back is definitely NOT due to the place itself but because my senior dog couldn’t make it upstairs 😔 from now on we have to take stairs inconsideration. That’s because of our dog NOT this place This place is definitely 10/10 loved it and made some best memories with my family ❤️❤️❤️🥹

Julia was such a wonderful host! So kind and helpful. She had so many recommendations for restaurants and activities. Her condo was absolutely beautiful- her attention to all the small details was impeccable. She even had a bottle of wine to welcome us to her place. Everything from the cleanliness to the thoughtful decorative touches were just perfect and really made it feel like we were in a 5-star hotel. The well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed for our one-week stay. Our favorite spot was the oceanfront balcony - the chairs and umbrella made it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves. We loved everything about the condo and cannot wait to come back! Thank you so much, Julia for a wonderful and unforgettable stay.

Quiet, well maintained unit and community. The pool was clean and close to condo. The condo is cozy and classy, with plenty of blankets, pillows, linens, towels. I enjoy a unit that feels "lived in" with little touches like artwork and nice rugs, little decorations and nice fixtures. This was a girls trip, so the feminine vibe was great! Community is across the street from beach and a block down, so about 7 min walk. The beach sits by a lifeguard station and a tiki bar, and 1 mile walk to Cherry Grove pier. Not many restaurants within walking distance, but short drive to many! We Uber to restaurants on ICW and cost about $10 each way. Host provided 3 beach chairs and towels. Lots of supplies in kitchen. This is a low key area, so ideal for adult trip or small family. Would book again!

Carol’s place was super clean and very nice. very easy to access, simple and well maintained, easy instructions. We would definitely stay again.

Adorable cottage in a quiet private area in a pretty neighborhood. We chose this stay so that we could walk over to the nearby Greenfield Lake Amphitheater and it was perfect. Would have been a nice spot to stay longer as well.

Danielle was the perfect hostess! She was quick communicating, the property was as described, she accommodated a change (after it was too late to change) to our travel needs, and basically she and her property were a fabulous oasis minutes from the airport! What's not to love? 😀

Brandi was very attentive and on point with communication . She was very welcoming . Let me say this ---- the pictures of the home are nice and all but when you actually get to the home , it's like 'WOW' . Beautiful home and the subtle touches such as helpful hints and instruction notes all over were PERFECT !!! Beds were comfortable . The kitchen was immaculate. The entire home was just terrific and so very neat . The outside spaces were very accommodating and beautiful . I hope we will be welcomed back in the future. I would recommend this home to any and all !!! 5 stars all the way !!! Let me also note this ---- We were down there for a memorial for my mother who passed last year . At the last minute , we found out my uncle (Herman) from Whiteville had just died . There was a sympathy card/ note on the table when we got there . Brought a tear to our eyes . Little touches like that go a long way and even more affirms how great they are . Thank you so much :)

This was our second year staying here! The place is very clean and neat! We appreciate Charlotte's communication! We will definitely stay here for future horse shows!

My family enjoyed staying at the property for a week at the beach. Walkable to most anything you need in Carolina Beach and is very close to a lake with a walking loop...perfect to take our pup for strolls in the morning and evening (just keep an eye out for the resident geese, as they hissed at us hahah). Very peaceful and quiet too. One thing that stood out to me was how well stocked they were with amenities in the bathroom and kitchen. Little touches like toiletries & coffee pods make such a huge difference. Overall, you can tell that they are very thoughful hosts! One thing to consider is that it is an older building, so you can hear alot of the happenings below you..we had some very loud people for the first few days after we checked in but again, I chalk it up to it being an older building which is common for the area. Furniture & beds were very comfortable...and my husband had a nice spot to do some work in the mornings. Oh & they had an old school nintendo set up...score!
