Casita Azul is a great place to stay for a visit to Rio Hondo! Jose was friendly and responsive, and I would definitely recommend this place to other guests.

This was a wonderful place for my fiance and I to stay. We had such a peaceful and quiet time. The bed was comfortable and the view was beautiful. We even saw a bunny one morning! it was a wonderful get away. We will definitely come back!

Got this place for my aunt and uncle who traveled from Illinois. They are 87 yrs. Old. They enjoyed their stay and were able to have family over to visit. It felt like home to them. I would recommend staying there.

Pros and Cons: Pros: great space for our dogs (they loved it). Also well stocked overall--plates bowls cooking body soaps and shampoos if you need them etc. Plenty of extra towels sheets blankets. All the things others don’t put in their rentals. Cons: A tad humid and damp in the house. Could use a dehumidifier to make it more comfortable since it is an older place and struggles a bit when it’s really hot. A tad far from the closest anything. First gas station is minimum 15minutes and everything else is 7 minutes more at least. Beach with traffic is 30 minutes at best. And as a couple other reviewers mentioned: Please removed just a little bit of the decorations. It was hard to “see” our stuff and move around at times because there were just too many “things” around. We had trouble finding counter space to lay out what we wanted to use. Too many chairs also.

We loved our stay at Amanda’s place. This is our 2nd time here and we will definitely book again. The place is clean & comfortable. The area is peaceful and quiet. We absolutely love this place! Highly recommend!

Beautiful Saltillo Tile House We loved this place so much—we wish it was ours! We stayed at Leonard’s beautiful home at the beginning of May, while transitioning from Houston to the SPIG community and setting up our new place. The moment we walked in, I fell in love. The house is welcoming and beautifully decorated. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning views of the open backyard and the golf course. We especially loved the cozy, pergola-covered back porch overlooking the golf course—it quickly became our favorite spot for morning coffees and sunset wines. Leonard was a wonderful host, checking in on us and sharing fantastic recommendations in the area. I couldn’t recommend this place more. If you’re visiting the area, definitely stay here—you won’t regret it!

This is my favorite place to stay at when I come to visit my family in Brownsville. This is my second time that I’ve been staying in this place and it’s is so beautiful, peaceful nice, warm and very very clean. Thank you Tracy

The apartment was clean, quiet, comfortable and with modern decor. The apartment complex has several buildings that all look alike, however, each building is appropriately labeled. We were really amazed at how quiet the apartment was!

Great place to stay has everything you need. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Really close to the airport and easy to get back and forth for places locally.

Great spot in downtown Brownsville, close to museums and very walkable. Steve helped us with local restaurant recommendations and responded very quickly to our questions about Brownsville attractions. Highly recommend, would stay again.

We go every year but Laura’s place was by far my favorite trip to south Texas. Will definitely be using again.

My kids and I really enjoyed our stay! Condo was just as described/like the photos. The beach was about a 3-5min walk . My kids LOVED the pool. Very clean. Working television in both the living room and bedroom. Wifi, Netflix, etc available. AC worked GREAT. There was boardgames, beach toys, a game console. Only thing I did not like was a 10am checkout which I knew at booking and I think that’s pretty standard for a condo at the beach to allow for the cleaning service. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a great place to stay. It was close to lots of activities and had everything we needed! Our host left all the info we may require for our stay and we really didn't need to reach out to them for anything as it was all already taken care of.

Wonderful experience! I stayed here by myself during the week and felt like it was a very safe neighborhood. Looked better than the photos, convenient location, and clean. Not to mention a super friendly host. I would definitely stay here again!

Next to the beach and hearing the crash of the wave’s made us feel relaxed. At night walking on the beach and having the waves surround our feet felt so refreshing. Great location and quiet. The management was very friendly and helpful.

Herman took the time to personally greet me when I got there! Made me aware that he would be available if I needed anything and that he was just a message away. Place is just as pictured and had everything I needed. Recommend for someone that is looking for a comfortable place to stay at. Great location as well!
