Holiday rentals with beach access in Candlewood Lake

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Clean, Comfortable, and Thoughtfully Prepared! We had a great stay! The place was spotless, quiet, and exactly what we needed for a few nights of good sleep and hot showers. It was clear that the host put thought into making guests feel welcome—there was a mini chocolate bar and a bottle of water waiting for each of us when we arrived, which was such a kind touch after a long day of travel. Check-in was smooth, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked perfectly. While we didn’t spend much time there beyond resting, it was the perfect place to recharge. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and cozy spot!

This is our second time staying with Johanna and we hope to return in the future. It was a comfy home base while visiting family, and the host is always welcoming & a great communicator regarding house instructions, and available to answer questions. Happy guests!

I would highly recommend this place, Tracy was very helpful. She gave us clear instructions. She had the place prepared for us. She even customized for us a card and guiding us to where everything is, the place was very clean, very well taken care of, and a lot of thoughts went into designing this place with all the amenities and comfortabilities

We stayed two nights at Alisa and Lena’s place. The place was just as described, comfy and very quiet. Would definitely recommend it for a visit in the area.

Dawn and Bob’s place is one of the top Airbnb’s we have stayed in! Top notch in every way. It was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. And on top of that Dawn and Bob were the most friendly hosts we have met! I would recommend this Airbnb without reservation and will be back whenever we are back in CT!

This apartment has a great view of downtown Stamford and is really central. We could walk anywhere we wanted. The balcony was cozy to hang out on at the end of the day, and we felt right at home. Our first day we were already talking about coming back!

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They were generous with providing goodies in the kitchen, which was well-stocked. It's a darker apartment but the deck outside was very cheerful as was their entire back yard right on the river. They even had kayaks and canoes to use and a lovely dock. Except for the busy street out front, it was just what we needed.

Beautiful location, very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean home with a lot of thoughtful amenities provided. And the town, which is a short drive from the home, is very charming with lots of cute shops and great dining options. The only couple of flags are the bedrooms are all side by side and the walls are thin, so be prepared to be aware of the movements of all staying in the house (or bring headphones). And they’re not joking when they say the neighbors are close, like RIGHT next to you on both sides, and sound definitely travels easier on the water. We were grilling one night and could hear every word the couple next door to us spoke as they had their evening wine on their deck. So just keep that in mind if you’re seeking deep privacy or have a noisier group. But overall a lovely and peaceful stay in a beautifully appointed home. I’d be happy to come back.

The place was clean and exactly as described. On the good weather days, it was nice to be close to some hikes and restaurants. On the rainy days, we enjoyed how cozy the space was.

Such a fun old home, reminded my wife of the old farmhouse she grew up in. The location was perfect for our needs and there was enough space for everyone.

We had a wonderful stay at this location during my daughter’s graduation from Bard College. The location has beautiful views of the lake and the layout of the property was perfect for the family to gather and celebrate, while also giving everyone the space for their own quiet time or rest. I would definitely recommend this location and hope to have the opportunity to stay again.

Enjoyed staying 4 nights. The house is beautifully designed and decorated with lots of natural light. Great location across the street from the Lake and walking distance to New Preston shops, coffee and restaurants. Enjoyed daily morning walks around the Lake. David was a great host- responds within minutes, easy check-in and check out. Highly recommend.

Cannot recommend enough. Steve was an exceptional host -- remarkably thoughtful and attentive. The home, property, and amenities were all superb.
