Holiday rentals with a kayak in Carling

We had a great stay, very beautiful area. We originally found it difficult to locate with our GPS taking us to the wrong location. However, that was our own mistake missing this detail in the listing as the hosts did mention this and described how to best locate the location. Hosts were quick to communicate with us when we got a bit mixed up in our directions. We did not realize that the Air BNB was located at a marina, but a visit in the fall was very peaceful and quiet. The fall colours were beautiful. Spacious and clean accommodations for a good price.

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

Stayed here with my family for a little fishing trip, and it was amazing! It was so roomy, and the beds were SO comfortable. Got to take the dog with us, which was a huge bonus as well. Would definitely come back again. 10/10 place to stay!

Absolutely stunning views in a nice, quiet, family oriented cottage location. Derek and Sandra were very nice, super friendly, and were so quick to respond to msgs when needed. The cottage was stocked with all basic essentials and was so clean and fresh. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was absolutely beautiful! Celebrated my birthday here with my friends and had a blast! This house is clean, massive, and matched the description on the listing! Tara was so sweet and her responses were always quick! The locals were so nice and honestly the area itself was fun to explore! We definitely fell in love with the boat launch across the street and we would definitely come back! Thanks for being such a great host Tara! I’d recommend this house for sure!! :)

Beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. One of the most amazing views I've ever had at a cottage. So many windows that can open to let the beautiful sunshine and breeze in. Fans, AC and heat allowed for perfect temperature control.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dock Cottage. It was modern elegance mixed with warm vintage touches. It had everything we needed to make our stay really comfortable and we loved the dock, hot tub and kayaking on the lake. It was quiet and peaceful and felt far away from everything yet we were an easy walk from Miss Nelle’s coffee shop and ice cream stand where we went each morning for a coffee (opens at 7am), Muskoka Brewing Company for a beer and a few other Baysville shops. The communication and instructions were really helpful and we received prompt replies if we had a question so it felt like we were really taken care of. We will definitely be back and recommend it to friends.

What a gem! This lovely cottage was everything we wanted. Private, clean and super cozy. The view from the deck steps away from the back porch was absolutely beautiful. Douglas was very friendly! His response time was very quick to any questions and he made sure we had everything we needed. His recommendations for around the area were super helpful too. Definitely recommend!

This cottage is perfection. Liane & James are just SO lovely. If you're reading this, don't look any further. Just book it. We couldn't have had a better week at Follie's Cove. The cottage was the perfect mix of modern and rustic. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. We felt at home instantly. The sunroom was the perfect chill spot for us and our two big dogs to get out of the sun/rain without feeling cooped up indoors. The beach was heaven for our dogs, and on a quiet end of the lake, so we saw few other people all week. The quintessential Muskoka experience! Liane and James were *beyond* wonderful. They set us up with a ton of breakfast food and desserts. Even offered to return the day after check-in to drop off more coffee. It truly felt like renting from friends. Highly recommend renting the pontoon boat from them and puttering around the lake. Wish I had more space to gush about the space and their incredible hospitality. We would book again in a heartbeat!

Absolutely beautiful place and so well equipped. I’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnb’s and it’s not an exaggeration to say this is the best equipped one I’ve ever been to. Anything and everything you could think of. It’s also a great space, such incredible views and we loved the hot tub and the kayaks. Christina was an excellent host, brilliant communication and also some lovely welcome treats for our four year old, very cute. We loved our stay. The only thing I would say is if you travel as a party of four adults or older children, beware the light in the summer. The awesome floor to ceiling glass in much of the living room means it was very light very ealry when we visited in June. It didn’t matter as we bought our little one in with us, but something to bear in mind if you aren’t a party who can do that.

We loved this place. From start to finish it was fantastic. Great location. Open and spacious. Everything we needed was provided. The host was very responsive and gave good clear instructions. We had a fantastic time to wind down.

Aviad’s property was exactly what was advertised and more. It was clean, comfortable and had everything you would need while on vacation. The surroundings were very private and what you would expect for lake side living. Our expectations were exceeded and we definitely recommend this location as a favourite.

On the way up to this beautiful getaway, my wife and I were laughing at how many reviews say "We'll be back" whenever you're looking to travel somewhere and read the reviews prior to booking... We'd say, "How many people actually go back a second or third time?" ... Of course, our main thoughts after our weekend here was we will be coming back 100%. Incredible location, privacy, beautiful lake view as seen in the pictures. The fireplace inside a nice added touch as our weekend was fairly cold, even for May. For those looking to cook, the BBQ is clean and of excellent quality.

Amy’s Airbnb was perfect for our Muskoka getaway, and she was an amazing host! We’d absolutely recommend this place and are already planning to go back!

We had a great stay at Lisa's place. Our family spent a lot of time on the water exploring the lake in the available canoe and kayaks and really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub in the evenings. The outdoor space is setup perfectly for living outside on those sunny days and inside the cabin is cozy and has all the amenities you need if the weather isn't great.

We stayed at Laura's cabin on our honeymoon and it was amazing! We love the outdoors and if the weather has cooperated we would have taken the kayaks out onto the lake. If your looking for a quick quiet getaway close to Gravenhurst with all the amenities of cottage county, this is your place to stay! The cabin was clean, stocked with all your kitchen essentials you will need.

I can't thank Tiffany and Pat enough for being amazing hosts and helping me through a difficult time. I stayed there on two separate occasions. The location of the house is right on the lake and sitting and watching the sun rise was beautiful. Narrows Convience Store is down the street and so is Mikisew Provinvial Park. The house has all the amenities (more than any other Airbnb I have stayed at). I would rats it more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks again so much!

We had a great time here celebrating my son's 6th birthday and Father's Day. Not many places can boast a great little private beach plus a dock, and the fishing off the beach was great. We also saw lots of turtles, including some babies, which were adorable. The beds are super comfortable, as is the living room. We loved having use of the paddle boat to see more of the natural beauty of the lake. Great spot!

We stayed for 4 nights at this cottage in late September, just as the autumn leaves were setting in. It was rainy at night but we enjoyed cozy nights watching The Hobbit or playing board games by the roaring fireplace. During the days, we did multiple hikes around Hardy Lake, went to Bala (a very quaint town-we made jokes about being in a cheesy Hallmark movie), toured the cranberry bogs and trails with hot wine drinks and just enjoyed time at the cottage. There is something for everyone whether you’re a cook, book-lover or outdoors enthusiast. We brought our two dogs who loved hiking the trails, watching chipmunks, swimming near the shore , and lounging on the dock. They even got into the canoe. There was a friendly senior dog who wandered down to say hi a couple times. The highlight of it all- we got engaged there! :) :) :) Sarah and Chris, you must be so proud of this enchanting cottage where so many special life moments were created.

This was our second visit to Taylor’s place on Otter Lake and it was just as beautiful as we remembered ☺️ such a quiet lake, the cutest cottage and private dock, and anything we needed in town was less than 15 min away. This is such a gem of a spot it’s become our annual anniversary destination 🥰❤️

We rented 2 cottages on same premises for this booking, and hosts were able to accomodate our needs. Very responsive hosts, with clear instructions and descriptions of the place. Unit 4B is our fave place to hang as its closer to the river and has bright space. Back Porch is enclosed with glass window and screen for night hang out place when you wanna avoid mosquitos outside and/if it’s raining outside. You still feel like youre outside with the comfort of staying inside :) 4A is nice if guests wants privacy at night, coz its has 2 queen size bed and bunk bed (3 BR). Both cottages can use all the water activity stuff. Nice to fish here too. Bonfire at night is great as well with free fire woods from the hosts. Location from Toronto is great, as you will feel like youre far away but it’s just 1.5hrs drive.

I was here with my girlfriends for the weekend. I was very excited about this place because of the sauna and Nordic pools available. Alina was very proactive and reaching out to help us make the weekend as comfortable and interesting as possible. She has some really great suggestions for what to do in the area and how to make the best use of your time. The house itself was extremely clean and very well maintained and the provided shampoo conditioner and body wash smelled so good! otherwise it was very well thought out and designed. And I appreciate how homie it felt. Thank you for such a lovely stay. I will remember this place for the future if I ever wanted to come back to Muskoka again :)
