Our stay in the Birthday House was perfect. It is such a cute and comfortable place and so conveniently located. We were able to walk to and enjoy many of the downtown restaurants as well as walking to the beach and along Scenic every day.

Great place for an extended stay! I rented the cottage for about 2.5 months and felt very at home during my stay. Colder months in Monterey mean dressing warm, but the provided space heater kept the cottage comfortable. A small kitchenette was limited, but a provided air fryer and microwave made things more manageable. An overall peaceful, clean and great stay!

We rented the home for the month of December and it was perfect for our needs. Very close to downtown Carmel, easy freeway access, quiet neighborhood and overall excellent accomodations. The house is warm, well stocked and even larger than the photos. Plenty of blankets, towels, kitchen equipment and common area space for when our adult kids came to visit. We will absolutely rent the home again and recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Carmel-by-the-sea!
