Walk a wee bit further to Exploding Whale Park and enjoy sitting on the river’s beach for a picnic or take a short drive to Heceta Beach for the day.

(Beach stairs closed and under repair with no known completion date due to significant engineering issues). Beach access within 1/2 mile south and north. Beach stair access will hopefully be restored soon as the contractor has finally provided a plan.
