From the central Corso Umberto I, where you can park the car, you can only reach Casa Celeste on feet by taking a narrow street and several flight of steps - as is the case with most accommodations in Modica - but it is definitely doable. Casa Corto Maltese has a shady and private fenced secret garden with 2 ancient caves and a terrace facing the entrance from which you can overlook the entire Scicli. The novel "The Stone Raven" by Marco Steiner was inspired by the rocky walls of this house.
