Wow! Vera and Antonio were friendly and welcoming hosts, even inviting us to join them in their personal cellar for a welcome drink from their own vintage. The apartment was newly renovated and was immaculate. We really loved the big bath sheets. For us the bed was a little firm, but we all have personal preferences about such things. We loved experiencing life in a tiny, but authentic rural village of Saturday, 26 kms from Guarda. If you are looking to escape the rat race, this is unique. Highly recommend. Amazing stay in Almeida! The entire home is fantastic and the rooftop patio views of the surrounding areas are amazing. Our host was fantastic, greeted us, gave us some recommendations and shared some of the local history. If visiting Portugal, take the time to drive to the interior and stay for a couple of nights. Obrigado!!!!
