This beautiful quiet accommodation is right in front of a park. You have your own entrance and private garden / terrace which is closed. Castricum by the sea is rich in hiking and cycling routes in the dunes, forests and bulb fields. And our North Sea beach is easily accessible by bike. It also has a train station with Intercity connection. Alkmaar and Central Amsterdam is 20 minutes. Cafes and restaurants are available in the beautiful Castricum. A large shopping center and supermarkets are open 7 days.

A washing machine and dryer are available free of charge. In the garage are 2 bicycles which you can use for free. Touristtax €2,15 per person per night is not included

The apartment is located next to our 30s home on the 1st floor, in the village center of Castricum. Within 5 minutes' walking distance, the dunes start and with fifteen minutes cycling you are on the beach and by the sea. The cities of Alkmaar, Haarlem and Amsterdam can be reached quickly by train or car. The train station of Castricum is within walking distance of our house. The apartment is on the second floor. Next to the entrance is a seat where you can sit in the sun in the morning.

Vera and Simon welcomed us very nicely and we were also expecting a fresh flower greeting and wine and beer in the apartment. It's more of a small cottage, downstairs the lovingly designed kitchen and bathroom with shower. The kitchen is only missing a cooking cleanliness, which we knew in advance based on the description. The combination oven is a microwave, grill and oven at the same time and is suitable as a "replacement", as well as an egg boiler. Upstairs a cozy living room, next to the beautiful bedroom with 3 beds. We could hardly use the Wi-Fi/WiFi at all, as it is really too weak. The apartment is super suitable for excursions, we did bike rides to Alkmaar, Egmont, Bergen, Castricum.... We were able to park the bikes comfortably in the spacious shelter. Very close to the house in Egmont inside there was a well-equipped supermarket. By car it went to Amsterdam, but also from Heiloo train station (Par & Ride possible) or Castricum that would have been possible.

We had an extended weekend at Lotte's place. This lovingly furnished apartment has everything you need. We got great tips from the hostess on what to do in Castricum. Lotte was always available. The free bikes served us well, they were perfect for going to the beach or to the train station. The location is very quiet and yet you can quickly reach the beach or larger cities by train. Overall, we were very satisfied and felt comfortable, we can highly recommend the accommodation 😊
