Cottage holiday rentals in Cayton Bay

We had a fantastic stay at Tim’s place! The location was perfect – just around the corner from local amenities and right in the heart of town. It was also only about 10 minutes to the forest and around 30 minutes to Whitby, which made day trips really easy. The hot tub was spotless and ready to use as soon as we arrived, and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of Prosecco – such a thoughtful touch. Tim was an incredibly responsive and understanding host throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back in the future

We had a fantastic family holiday with our two children. the house has everything you will need and Marisa was very helpful during our stay. The kids loved the chickens and the hot tub! Great rural location close to lots of great sights Thanks for having us! x

3 Railway Cottage is a fantastic base to explore the amazing beauty of North Yorkshire. The cottage is located a 20 minute walk from the centre of Pickering but is in a really quiet and private location. The only exception of course is the opportunity to wave at the heritage railway trains that pass at the back of the cottage a few times a day which is really amazing, especially if you wave from the comfort of the hot tub! I can’t recommend this location highly enough, it is a really comfortable and well equipped cottage in a fantastic location - what more could you ask for?

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely holiday home which is in a stunning location overlooking Robin Hoods Bay. It really was an unbeatable location. Steve was a fantastic host, giving us all the information we needed about the property and location. He also left us some welcome extras in the fridge 😊 The property was clean and well presented, and the hot tub and snooker room were enjoyable extras. We would happily return to this beautiful, peaceful spot in the future.

Lovely relaxing cottage with everything we needed. Very cosy and relaxing setting with great views from back windows. Enclosed garden for dog or children. Hot tub was a great perk which was well used by us. Rillington village within 10 min walk which had a small shop and a nice pub ( the fleece). Tips for other travellers The fleece in rillington has a nice garden of weather nice and the food was nice too and dog friendly Ham and cheese which is a 5 minute drive the food was very good and dog friendly too although probably too far to walk Lots of walks nearby, we went to dalby Forrest, mallyham spout in goathland and Levisham near Pickering New Connie’s Chinese in malton was also very good

We had the most beautiful stay — the cottage was peaceful, private, and instantly felt like home. Everything was spotless and smelt amazing, with such a lovely, calming vibe throughout. The decor was gorgeous, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The hot tub was the perfect finishing touch for a truly relaxing weekend. The hosts went above and beyond with thoughtful details like fresh eggs in the morning and chocolates waiting for us on arrival. Communication was smooth and friendly from start to finish. You can really feel the care and effort put into every part of the stay. I’d absolutely recommend this place — it’s a little gem, and I’d love to return!

We have had a lovely holiday. We found the bungalow to be very clean, the sofas and beds were very comfortable and there was everything we needed for our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better location , sitting in the garden or in the sunroom listening to the waves made for a very relaxing holiday. Lisa was a great host and we hope to return soon.

Excellent stay in Pickering, the house is exactly as described and more! Very well equipped and a real home from home. It is on one of the main roads but as others have said the thoughtful ear plugs made all the difference and we had no problem finding parking every day. This is a fantastic base for exploring the local area. Highly recommended

Lovely little cottage, all filled nice touches from the hosts. Would highly recommend if you want to visit Scarborough and Whitby and have a car.

Lovely, quiet cottage just outside Skipsea. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 small dogs. Very clean and tidy. Well equipped and comfortable. Andrew provided clear instructions and was very responsive. Because we have elderly dogs we could have done with the outside area being more directly accessible, but it didn't spoil our enjoyment or the dogs! thank you

Had a lovely stay at Rachael’s , just what was needed , took our little dog which was great , he had his first day at the seaside just 35 mins to the coast Clean and tidy , everything you could need although we ate out you could cook a meal , 2 minutes walk to shops , pubs and cafes , and the church on the door step is stunning . A very comfortable Huge bed too Bonus as we left Monday is market day lots of lovely fresh foods to bring home

Bruce made me feel welcome right from the start with a welcome notice in chalk in the barrel outside the barn. The place exactly matches the description, it’s unique and fascinating with all the artefacts mixed in with all the practical features. It’s warm, clean, functional and fun. Bruce left us a tray with some really generous foods, bacon, eggs, butter, chocolate and delicious cheese. Thank you Bruce, that was really kind and thoughtful.

Had a lovely stay in the countryside overlooking the sea in the quaint cosy annexe cottage. Great views, great base to stay and visit the area. Caroline was a great host. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Saltwater cottage was absolutely fantastic! In the perfect spot near the harbour, it’s literally steps away from the best spot to watch the sun going down over the beautiful cliffs surrounding a Staithes. The cottage was squeaky clean and had everything we needed for a fab stay. Bed was super comfy and cosy shower was perfect and living room lovely to sit with a glass of wine. We ate in the Cod & Lobster and the Royal George both were great. Lovely cliff walk to Runswick Bay is also recommended. Staithes is a really stunning village and we’ll definitely be back to stay at Saltwater cottage!

We have thoroughly enjoyed an all too brief, relaxing stay at Tarrs Yard. From entering the charming cottage, to leaving, one can't fail to be impressed by all that Lizzie and Andy have so stylishly created. The helpful, informative folder inside the cottage provides for guests' range of interests and enables visitors to capitalise on the hosts' wealth of knowledge and experience of the area. We can't wait to return and anticipate discovering more of what this area affords, whilst assured of a restful, peaceful property to daily return to. Thank you to you both for our introduction to North Yorkshire.

Had a fantastic time at the Bay in Filey. This house is superb as we were a family of 6. It is in a great setting right near the beach with everything you need for a quiet family break. Sarah was a fantastic host giving us clear communication. The house is spotless and clean and has lots of amenities. Would highly recommended this property.

A great base for visiting the surrounding coastline. Helen was very helpful suggesting local walks. A very well equipped kitchen in which we cooked all our meals. And dog friendly too… the tennis balls were a bonus and the cottage’s own secure bit of garden was great.

The cottage was lovely, very well presented and homely. Private and quiet too. Sheryl was great with her communication and we found the guide book in the house very helpful. We would definately book again.

Our stay at Jodie's was lovely. We didn't need to get in touch during our stay, but she was extremely responsive and helpful when we did reach out in the lead up to our trip. The apartment was impeccably clean and well equipped, and the welcome pack including some coffee, cookies, and cleaning materials was a really nice touch. The Bay site is well maintained and the facilities, especially the swimming pool, were clean, convenient, and easy to use. There is also a pub, restaurant, and pharmacy right on the doorstep of the property which is a definite bonus. The location is perfect with the beach only a short walk away and Filey and Scarborough just a 10/20 minute drive, respectively.

We had a lovely stay at Nicholas's cottage. The location, on the edge of Filey, was perfect for exploring the local area . The cottage itself is a good size and well equipped. The master bedroom was very large and beautifully furnished. We would definitely recommend a stay here!
