Cottage holiday rentals in Central America

My friend and I really appreciated Ana Maria's hospitality and her family's gorgeous home. We loved the special personal touches including the jungle of house plants and well-stocked library with board games and books. Having the fireplace stocked with wood made it possible to have the perfect ambiance for reading in front of the fire on a misty afternoon! We found it helpful to have earplugs at night, as the home is close to a transit road, and earplugs did the trick to help us sleep soundly.

We absolutely loved this place. It is well maintained and has everything you need. It feels like home. The woodwork in the house is so beautiful. The property is gorgeous and has trails to explore. Carolina and Manuel arranged to get some specially requested food for our stay. They had the food there for our arrival which was so helpful. Manuel took us on an awesome night hike. Carolina’s husband also gave us a tour of the property too. Carolina and her family really go out of their way to make this a welcoming place. They grow amazing coffee on the property which we really enjoyed. They also shared their garden veggies and the bananas. We stayed 4 days and wished we had stayed longer. We found it easy to go into Monteverde for activities like coffee tours, cloud forest, animal sanctuary el Tigre waterfall, etc. There are some great restaurants close by the house and of course in monteverde too. We enjoyed ordering homemade empanadas from cafe Horizonte for breakfast.

Nos quedamos con nuestras dos niñas (5 y 2 años) el lugar muy apto para ellas, estuvimos muy cómodos, las camas y sábanas muy cómodas. Mucha naturaleza, nos encantó la opción de piscina, y jacuzzi con vista al lago. Vimos el atardecer en un kayak, logramos hacer el tour de birdwathching y logramos ver el Quetzal, también tomamos tuc tuc al pueblo y tomamos tour en lancha alrededor del lago. Nos la pasamos muy bien! Nos brindaron toallas para piscina y aparte para bañarse! Si quieres cocinar, lleva aceite, sal, azúcar. Del restaurante la Posada nos encantaron las quesadillas y el sandwich de lomito!

un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo. con muchis espacios públicos y tranquilidad tenia una vista increíble cuando sales de la cabaña. la falta de luces exteriores durante la noche en especial durante el check in lo hizo algo dificil. estaba algo polvozo y con telarañas. el uso de las instalaciones fue algo complicado en jacuzzi estaba vacío y apagado en sauna igual I los equipos para hacer kayac estaba todos bajo llave cada vez pienso q al no hacer una reservacion directamente con el alojamiento se siente como q no somos tan importantes como para darnos esa parte del servicio.

Great stay 15mins drive from La Fortuna. The balcony overlooking the plantation was just spectacular. The room was cozy, as described and Grace made amazing breakfast each morning. Highly recommended!

This property was spectacular ! The details of the house made our stay an experience . John was always available to answer our questions. The view from the terrace was amazing and very calming, the house had everything that we needed and more. I can’t wait to go back and recharge my soul. Fully recommended!

The house is so airy and spacious. You are submersed in nature with the birds and it is so amazing to see the beautiful macaw that lives in the tree out front just hanging out while we have coffee. I think the road has recently been upgraded with asphalt. I didn't need a 4X4 to get there. The house was stocked with everything we needed and very clean.

Great place to stay with easy walkable access to a lovely beach. Comfortable and lovely surroundings. Very friendly communicative host and very responsive. Close by to all restaurants, shops etc.

My goodness, such a wonderful stay and we even met THE fabulous Alma! Really close to restaurants and town, direct access to the river, lots of plants on the property. Squeaky clean and impressive home. The host were very kind, showed us around and even left fruits. We literally needed nothing- soap, shampoo, conditioner and everything was there. Host were knowledgeable of local things to do and the book in the house was very helpful for recommendations. The aroma of the limes on the lime tree, and the ginger plants on the property smelled soooo good. 100% will return on my next trip!

Beautiful location, very close to a bunch of good hiked nearby! Very peaceful stay, loved sitting on the back deck looking at the stars and listening to nature at night.

We had the most incredible stay! Warren was a thoughtful host! Attentive and always available if we had any questions. The cottage itself was absolutely perfect! Peaceful, beautifully maintained, and a beautiful view of the lake. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and memorable time. Thank you!

This was the third and last air bnb of the stay and the view was absolutely breathtaking!!! We have dinner and breakfast prepared on site, which was delicious. The villas are lovely and just enough space. We also can literally hearing all the howler monkey from a far but it was so cool! They also have a large property with trails for you to walk. Loved our stay, loved the villa and can’t wait to share it with my friends!! Highly recommend!!

The cottage is very comfortable and the views from the porch are amazing! April was very friendly and easy to talk to. The location is quiet and is centrally located for discovering the area around. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Loved the space! Loved how so much is outdoors - cooking outside, reading outside, just watching the birds outside. Plenty of space and everything you need to be comfortable. The bedroom is spacious and cool with the fan running. The bathroom is also large and I loved the outdoor feel of the shower. Nature is right there in your face - monkeys, toucans, raccoons, agoutis, geckos, frogs, and bugs. If you want to feel like you’re living outside in nature, this is your place. It’s also a great location that is private and very close to Cocles beach. Walkable to Puerto Viejo. I highly recommend the unit.

We absolutely loved our time at Estela’s place! Everything about the experience was wonderful from the breathtaking views of the lake to the comfort and cleanliness of the home. The property was exactly as described, and it offered the perfect balance of peace and natural beauty. Waking up to the serene waters of Coatepeque made every moment feel special. We especially appreciated the little details that made the home feel cozy and relaxing. Absolutely fantastic. The plunge pool exceeded expectations and was very well kept. We found out later in our trip how amazing that shady paradise really was. The dock was a great place to sit and lookout over the ocean for coffee.. for drinks.. for reading- it was incredible. The location, as described, is a little bit north of the main Placencia village, but there were still a few places to walk to and get a nice meal. Otherwise you'd have to rent or taxi to town and then walk around. Most communication for taxis and such were done over Whats App which was really convenient with lots of wifi available around town at the bars/restaurants. Everything was as described. We would definitely come back.

Galileo is so caring and kind. He help us to take the luggage from the private deck to the house, and when we check out, he helped us to get on a boat to our next destination. He is very caring for his guests. For the property, one thing to note is that the shower head on the top is out of service, so you can only use the handheld shower head. But everything else is super good. Santa Cruz is a quiet town if you want to get dinner you have to reserve beforehand with the local restaurant.
