Beachfront holiday rental in Central Kootenay

Overall great cabin experience with the family. It snowed quite a bit while we were there so we took advantage of the campfire site at the beach. The stroll through the woods was really nice all the way down to the water. The cabin is cozy and it felt like a true getaway with some great time spent with the family. The kids loved the dvd collection and the bunk beds and we enjoyed being able to unplug for a few days. Overall we would recommend the Kootenai Hideaway.

Great place to stay. We are swimmers and the lake is clean with beautiful clear water. It was so nice to sit around a beach fire in the evenings. Dwayne and his daughter were so open and welcoming. The screened in deck was amaxing for when the mosquitoes came out! Definitely recommend!!

Sean is the perfect host, he went above and beyond for our stay. Trailer was beautiful and an awesome location. Would definately go back and recommend to friends.

Our stay was excellent! Andrea’s place was an oasis — it had everything we needed and was designed with function in mind. The cabin was cozy and stylish, and accommodated 6 of us nicely. The outdoor space was super functional and there was a chest of outdoor games to enjoy on the beautiful back lawn. Andrea was the best host, checking in with us to see if we needed anything and even arranging for us to have late checkout so we could soak up the last minutes in the morning sunshine. Would highly recommend and we hope to come stay again in the future!

Alanna, Thanks so much for letting us stay Redfish Lakehouse. Our family of 5 plus our Lab had a fantastic time. Lots of swimming and lake activities! Just what we were planning. We had a number of great dog walks by the Kokoanee spawning channels and spent lots of time watching the eagles, osprey, herons and turkey vultures set up shop on the beach. The beach was perfect, a couple of sandbars keep the boats away and make for a mostly sandy walk out to the deeper water. Great for kids and tired dogs! You are a pro - we had everything we needed inside and out - ice maker, Smart TV, extra lawn chairs, beach chairs, beach toys, table games, giant jenga and the dog towel! The deck was definitely a favourite. Lots of room and the afternoon shade was heaven sent at times! We look forward to staying again someday! Tammy & Greg

This was a perfect place to stay for our week away. We had 2 dogs with us who loved the water. The hosts were extremely accommodating and we felt right at home. The place was immaculately clean, and we had everything we could have needed for a beach vacation.

Thank you Dana and Tom for a lovely stay. The lake view is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and at the lake. The unit is so clean and beautifully renovated. It would be nice to come back again sometime.

my family stayed here for 2nights and we loved this cabin. Well equipped, clean, and cozy. My favorite part of the staying was the private beach. It was so quiet and peaceful. We spent day time on the beach paddle boarding, swimming and reading , tanning. It was just perfect. At night time, there were so many stars in the sky . I have never seen so many stars like that before. We made bonfire too (they sell fire woods so it was very convenient) We would definitely comeback in winter time too.

My family and I spent a long weekend at Olivier’s place. He’s been a great host and we had a wonderful time staying at this wonderful property! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes outdoor activities, fishing, hunting, hiking or exploring the true beauty of BC!

This place was such a cute little place to stay. We had planned on camping but the forecast called for rain so we were able to book and arrive the same day which was so helpful. It was very easy to find and had a great location right across the street from the lake.

This place is great and the location is to die for!! right on the hill, an ACTUAL ski in/out. They did need the dates switched after we had already booked, which was a bit inconvenient. However, they were honest about the mistake and communicated with us right away and we were able to make it work. I would definitely stay here again!

My husband & I along with our 2 dogs very much enjoyed our stay in the tiny homes! It has everything you would need and more! It was for sure different having the kitchen & bathroom under a separate roof but we liked & enjoyed the experience. The location & surroundings are absolutely stunning! And the private beach to top it off, wow! Loved loved that there are so many opportunities to enjoy the outdoor from the deck with the hammock, screened & heated pergola & fire pit while being up high literally beside the forest while being secluded. It was overall a spectacular & grounding experience for us. Jody & Alex were amazing hosts. Kind, responsive & helpful. A thorough welcome package was sent prior to arrival that included a list of recommendations that was very much appreciated. Will definitely keep it in our favourites list and are eager to be back!

Best airbnb I've ever stayed at! And its so nice to stay at an airbnb and actually meet your host! The entire property is gorgeous, and the view from the beach (which is RIGHT outside) is just breathtaking. The deck chairs are comfy, the beach chairs are comfy, the bed is comfy, and the entire stay was so relaxing. Everything you need is right there, and I've been in hotels that weren't as clean as this place. And Tracy definitely knows how to decorate- very cute!! Its close to Nelson, the Ferry, and the Hot Springs, but has a quiet and private vibe. Tracy was so kind and such a generous host. I will cross my fingers that this place is available next time i'm in Nelson! Thank you so so much !

We really enjoyed our family vacation at this beautiful lake front home! With two toddlers and a baby the layout of the house was perfect, and having the beach to spend the day at was amazing! The house was nicely organized and labeled, and the multiple living spaces made us feel like we were never on top of each other. We look forward to hopefully enjoying this house again!

This property is amazing if you like lake properties! Byran and Lisa were great hosts and ensured we had everything we needed, including parking for the boat trailer once the boat was in the water. The property is great if you want to just be private and spend quite time or if you want to entertain and have multiple people there. Having so many places to relax and enjoy was also fantastic, such as the covered patio, lounging chairs with an umbrella, firepit by the beach, the beach itself and the dock. The dock was perfect for our high end surf boat as it is very protected where it’s located and very easy to get in and out of with no problems. Also the lake is one of the best in Canada so we spent a ton of time boating and in the water. Absolutely loved the location, the property and the hosts!

Ken’s home on Kootenay Bay was wonderful. It was so conducive to the large group we had. Lots of space for everyone to sleep, use washroom facilities and find their own space if needed. The sprawling lake views are unbeatable. Great chef’s kitchen and amazing entertaining space in the basement. Would highly reccomend. Ken and Alia were very helpful and accommodating.

This lake home is beautiful, with wonderful views of the lake from the windows. We cooked our own meals & the kitchen had everything we needed. Perfect place to take a pet, since there’s a fenced yard area, plus a fully enclosed deck overlooking the lake with a gate. There are games, books, comfy couches, internet access & fluffy beds. The home is next to a small public beach, but still has privacy with fencing & well placed bushes. Beach towels, 4 chairs and a bucket of kids beach toys were provided. But you’ll need to provide anything else for water play. I suggest an umbrella for shade! My only critique is I would have loved a hot shower or to use the huge master tub! There was no hot water. Water got warm for about 5 minutes, then turned cold. We boiled water in the tea kettle to wash pots & pans. My husband called Vacasa & emailed to ask if we could get to a water heater to fix it, but never heard back from them during our 4 day/3 night stay. We would stay here again anyway!
