Cabin holiday rentals in Central Louisiana

Our stay here was amazing! We enjoyed the cabin as it had everything we needed and then some. The cabin itself was beautiful!! Very clean! Kids enjoyed the loft area which had games, toys and a Nintendo 64. It also had a futon and foam blocks which the kids used to make forts. The kids picked up pretty rocks and splashed in the creek that was within walking in the property. We didn’t get to use the volleyball court or tetherball due to our weekend being so packed but we will definitely save that for next time. At night, we very much enjoyed the hot tub and building fires while swinging in the hammock chairs. So relaxing! The river that we went fishing at is only 5 minutes away and the lake was only 2 minutes away.! Oh yea, and our dogs had the time of their lives too! So much room for them to run wild! Our host was amazing. He was very responsive to any questions we had and was fast to reply. We will definitely be back to this little piece of paradise ❤️

We had a great time staying here. It was very spacious and didn’t feel too crowded with 6 adults. Loved that they are pet friendly the pups also had a blast. Everything was nice we liked that there were a set of steps that get into the lake. Overall we all had a great time and the location also wasn’t bad. The host were super responsive and we will definitely be back and stay at this same place.

The pictures don't do justice how beautiful and amazing it is...and the fishing 👌kids loved it and the outdoor bar hangout was nice smoking some ribs drinking and cold one while enjoying the view couldn't ask for more...

Our favorite lake house, by far. Spacious enough for 8 adults with 3 boats, with plenty of options to enjoy the beautiful lake whether from the balcony, concreted grond level, pier/ boat dock, kayaks or float pad, we took it all in! Thank you Megan, you are an excellent host!

My family and I had a wonderful stay! The 2nd night there a huge storm hit and we lost electricity. Within an hour they had the generator up and running for us! I just hope every Airbnb I ever stay in has such wonderful hosts! The house fit our huge family perfectly. They even had toys for the infant grandbabies so we didn’t have to pack as much. The kitchen was beyond fully stocked for a great vacay. And T he views were AMAZING!!!

Right by 2 boat ramps, a restaurant 2 miles away and a peaceful place.

This is a nice place and is was in a perfect location for my bass tournament.

Perfect if you need a place to stay for a hunting or fishing trip. Exactly what we needed!

Our stay At Ruby’s Cottage was amazing! We enjoyed this quaint home away from home. Quiet and peaceful stay on Lake Vernon. My boys loved the dock for fishing. I loved the early morning sunrises with my coffee on the dock. We loved the beautiful flowers around the property. I could smell the scent of gardenias as soon as stepped out of my car. We will definitely stay at Ruby’s Cottage again!

The property was exactly as described. It was very private, clean, spacious and on a really nice piece of property. It was peaceful yet not too far off the beaten path. Gus was a great online host whose communication was clear, prompt and spot on. The value of the fees and charges were in line with expectations and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. We would definitely recommend this property to others and it deserves a 5/5 star rating.

The cabin was so much better than staying in a hotel while working in Many on a commercial project.

Nancy & Shawn have created a wonderful get back to nature experience! From the area,cabin,little touches of homemade soap & tinctures to the lovable loo & outdoor shower which we took midnight showers in…to the peacefulness, it’s a match made in heaven all put together with love by those 2. (We brought our rescue cat & she loved it as well!!). We came as strangers & left as friends. We will definitely return!! Thanks for the hospitality and sharing y’all lil’ piece of paradise with us! Enjoyed the stay responsive and informative.

Beautiful location, with amazing views. It was the most peaceful, beautiful water front cabin, perfect place to unwind with family.

What a beautiful, tranquil place - a sanctuary as the name says! Our kids (9 and 3) loved walking and playing in the creek. We loved the screen porch and had all our meals and lounging time there. Panoramic beautiful scenery from the living room, the screened porch, and upstairs. Cabin was cozy and clean. Beds and furniture were very comfy. They also had some toys and a fun puzzle for the kids. Also have to note the great book selection - for the kiddos in the loft upstairs, and for nature loving adults on the shelves downstairs. We got a little mixed up finding the place at first (google maps address was off), but still were able to find it easily once going down the road based on the mailbox #s. We had a lovely spring weekend here, and look forward to returning!

The house and location were perfect for us. We were in town for a graduation at LSMSA. We were 15 minutes from the school. There were 8 of us and a baby with 2 dogs. There was plenty of room for everyone and we enjoyed the dock and both porches. It was very relaxing between all of the activities. I would recommend staying here.

Beautiful location, well appointed and close to shopping. Enjoy every minute. Highly recommend.
