A true bed and breakfast in a sea of stale air bnbs! Sharon met me upon arrival and showed me to my private abode in the center of a working cherry (and other things!) farm. The fridge was stocked with eggs, milk, butter and bread, and there was a nespresso machine + a selection of teas. She also gave me a book of local wineries and their backgrounds which I greatly appreciated and used throughout my stay. Would stay here again if I’m ever back in the area!

Photos don’t do the view justice. Jeremy was a great host. This is a cabin type experience. We stayed in the winter and used the cottage as a home base for skiing and other activities which was great. Quick ride over to Arrowtown and Queenstown but far away enough to feel private and peaceful. Some important points regarding previous reviews I read about the place being “cold”…the ground floor is all slate stone…as Jeremy recommended, just bring some sandals or slippers to wear around. There is a large heat pump, a lovely pot belly stove, and space heaters and all the beds have blanket heaters which we actually didn’t use because they were too hot…so it’s easy to stay warm and the view and coziness are well worth it, but if you’re expecting a thermostat in a hotel room that you set and leave…this wouldn’t be the place for you. We loved our stay and the host was very responsive.

We had a lovely stay at Jessica’s home! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The little touches around the house really made it feel welcoming, and we appreciated how well-equipped everything was. Location was convenient and peaceful perfect for a relaxing getaway. Jessica was a great host, responsive and thoughtful throughout. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area!

Stu’s guesthouse was a lovely getaway in New Zealand! Close to Queenstown, ZQN airport, and to many outdoor activities. Very peaceful and private, soft linens, and felt right at home. It’s clear that this is not a cookie cutter Airbnb, but a real guesthouse, and it shows in the fit and finish of the property, and Stu’s helpful and kind approach to hosting. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great spot! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The views were beautiful and we loved saying hello to Beau the dog everyday. We enjoyed the location as was peaceful, was a comfortable stay.

Funky little annexe to stay in. Loved the welcome basket of freshly baked bread and eggs. It was a chilly week in Dunedin but the heater in bedroom did the job to make it cosy. Kerry was very welcoming and friendly. Had a great bike ride on the cycle path. Would like to stay in summer next time.

Cosy and comfortable stay with Bridget, place was exactly as described and was a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. We really appreciated Bridget's hospitality as well, and would come back if we had the chance. Highly recommended!

We cannot say enough good things about this fantastic Lavender Farm home. It is beautifully decorated, was spotlessly clean, incredibly well-equipped, the location was very handy and the grounds just lovely. We were impressed with how warm the house stayed overnight, even on very crisp mornings—the quality of build is imminently evident. Our family extended our stay as we couldn’t bear to leave, and we wish we could live there forever. Thank you as well to Jane for being a responsive host, and we highly rate this experience to future guests.

Arrived to a lovely smelling (lavender diffuser), warm & welcoming rustic hut. Immaculately presented. Found Hugh to be a lovely, friendly host. Had a very peaceful, relaxing 2 night stay. Particularly enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor bath & shower, fluffy robes, yummy sourdough bread & eggs each morning, friendly dogs & other animals & the serene, tranquil location. Thank-you so much for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.

A real nice place to stay, specially if you have time to explore the grounds and gardens. Erin communicates really well and is very helpful. Good breakfast options were provided. A bit far from the Dunedin city but still convenient.

Such a gem of a home with the most beautiful views all around. We had a wonderful time and would gladly stay here again. Thank you Michael for your hospitality.

Wonderful place to stay. Would highly recommend this place. Nice and clean and great quiet spot. Very clean place and not too far from Gore.

Eddie provided the clear guidance and welcome us by herself. We visited her farm and caught some apples, they are tasted good, my mother really loved them. The house is really clean, a little bit tiny but very warm, just like our home. The kitchen is outside the room and has full equipments, my family cooked our dinner by ourselves. Tomorrow morning we fed the sheep and they are really lovely.😊

A great place to stay. Warm and comfortable and we (and our dog) enjoyed having the various farmyard animals around.

Our stay was great, we were a family of four adults and it suited us perfectly. The cottage was just as described and Jackie was a welcoming, friendly host. Everything was clean and tidy, and in great working order. The surroundings were peaceful and just a short drive from Cromwell itself. It was a great base from which to explore Arrowtown and Queenstown as well. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had the most magical stay here! It was exactly as advertised - secluded, romantic and felt like a world away. There were personalised touches which were so appreciated and made our stay so special. We'll be coming back!

I arrvived at honey cottage at 1130 at night, the lights were on the fire was going, it was immediately warm and Cosy. Which was so nice as it was a freezing night. I instantly felt comfortable and warm - right at home. Cosy cottage is the nicest most peaceful place I have stayed in. Everything about it is beautiful - I look forward to stay there again. Michael was very happy to come and show me how to turn the hot tub on as it was gas and I was a bit unsure about it, he was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend Cosy cottage to anyone it was the best. Thankyou Michael Donna

What a unique experience staying on an active farm! I really enjoyed walking the farm at sunrise and watching all the action. Many of the animals were curious and came right to the fence. The Tin Shed is a lot more than a shed - it's an amazing space with well appointed kitchen, very comfortable bed, nice living room area and spotless bathroom. The views are incredible and the outdoor space is very pleasant to hang out on. The stocked refrigerator and pantry kept us well-nourished. Wendy is an excellent host. Thank you!

Greg is an amazing host who helped us feel right at home from the get go. We’ll surely be missing his warm hospitality, beautiful home, and adorable animals in the days to come. We hope to stay at Greg’s home again if we get to return to Dunedin someday.

WOW WOW WO THIS PLACE!! I live in Wanaka and we wanted a lil night away, and man this did not dissapoint. The bath, the view. It was just what we needed!! Cant thank u enough!!

Lovely home and location, we met Paul who was very friendly and welcoming. The home was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again when we are back in New Zealand.
