Holiday rentals with lake access in Central Texas

House was beautiful! Only “complaint” is for those sensitive to the light: there are no black out curtains provided. It’s worse in the front room because the flood/spot light by the garage is motion activated and turns on every five seconds, shining right into the room. Other than that: everything was amazing

We really enjoyed our stay here— the view was so beautiful and all the amenities at the house were amazing. It was very comfortable. Most of all, we’ve never had such a friendly and helpful host. We will return for sure.

We went to Burnet for Mother's day weekend to just getaway from Waco. Niza's place was perfect for our little weekend away from the city. The peace and quiet out there was amazing. To sit outside in the morning and watching the deer walk by to sitting outside in the evening watching the sunset and listening to the frogs. There was no water back behind which we knew but it was still beautiful. Was definitely what we needed and if we go back to Burnet we will definitely book again with Niza. She messaged to make sure checking in and everything went well and to let me know to reach out if need anything and even wish me to have a wonderful mother's day weekend.

The house was beautiful! The hosts truly thought of everything that you might need and communicated in a very timely manner. We visited lots of things in downtown San Antonio while we were there and the house was a perfect distance from everything we needed. We would highly recommend this house to others!

Jay was an awesome hostess, keeping great communication from the time we booked until we left. He really shows interest in their guests having a perfect experiencel We had a great stay at this beautiful property. It is well decorated and well maintained, and it had everything we needed to feel right at home. There are many amenities to entertain your group, and the backyard is such a treat. I would definitely recommend this home for your next getaway!Overall 10/10! Hope to come back soon!

We enjoyed our stay at Jenelle's place! We brought our dogs and they loved the huge yard and direct access to the lake! We also enjoyed the relaxed environment of being out back. We made s'mores in the firepit and made use of the kayaks they offered! The outdoor space really ticks all the boxes! The inside looks just like the pictures. Beautiful kitchen on the second floor with a good, smaller kitchen on the first floor. Above all, Jenelle was really accommodating to us and made sure we enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. She also sends a very helpful guidebook ahead of time to help plan your stay, which as someone who loves to plan and stay organized I really appreciated! Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Austin!

BEAUTIFUL location and home!!! Extremely picturesque, feels secluded and private, the bathroom is gorgeous, all the amenities are perfect and George and Kim were amazing hosts, went above and beyond to make sure we were extremely comfortable and had a great vacation.

This was a cozy little spot for two. It had a great little sitting spot with a view of the water ideal for peaceful relaxing.

This is my FAVORITE place in ALL of Texas!!!! What a treat to stay!!!!

We wanted peace and relaxation and we got it! We spent our honeymoon on Gracie’s property, and it was lovely. Had access to hot tub, pool, and fishing dock. Close to town. Host is super sweet and accommodating. Hope to get back soon.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The house was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for our family reunion in Hunt, TX. It had everything we needed and made our trip so much more enjoyable. Roger, the host, was incredibly responsive and accommodating, which made the whole experience seamless. Highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting the area!

We had such a great time at Joes place. It was just as described. Great location walkable to most things on East Cesar Chavez and not far from downtown either. Joe was super helpful and we couldn’t have asked for a better host and stay. Would definitely recommend. 10/10

This place is absolutely perfect! We had the best weekend here!! Beautiful, clean home. No issues at all. Plenty to do indoors or out. Didn’t have to or want to leave the place. Had HEB deliver groceries first thing! It was a very nice, relaxing stay for us. Gorgeous grounds and location. Kids had a blast in the water and out. We definitely want to be back as soon as we are able! (:

My wife and I took a short vacation away from our kids at Shelly's cabin and it was beautiful, quiet, and restorative. Exactly what we were looking for. The views of the lake are amazing and we spent hours sitting on the screened-in porch.

Silvio’s place was really awesome! We were visiting for a BMT graduation & being able to stay around the lake & make the ~1 hour commute to Lackland was worth it. The lake has lots to do around it & landscape is breathtaking. Silvio gave us a huge, detailed list of recommendations as well, which we were really thankful for! Very clean & felt right at home. Check-in was super easy. This spot is convenient if you are interested in both San Antonio & Austin, as it is a perfect halfway point between the two. Also, the beds were SO comfortable! If we return to this area of Texas again, we will definitely be booking Silvio’s place!

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this beautiful little cottage over memorial weekend. The cottage is small but so well laid out that actually there’s loads of space and can sleep a family of 4-6 people easily. We enjoyed being by the river, the nice big lawn (we brought a slip n slide) and its nice and quiet but still close to Gruene and New Braunfels. We had a great time. And the cottage is so beautifully decorated and attention to detail to everything. Loved it. Highly recommend it and the hosts were super helpful but we didn’t really need anything.

As I sit here and write this review I'm comparing my pictures that I took to the pictures of the rental and the more disappointed I'm getting. The pictures are nothing like what is shown for outside. The inside of the house was awesome. As for outside the grass was overgrown. The number of chairs that are shown was way less. Not to mention of the two chairs one was broke. Luckily we brought our own chairs. No corn was provided for the deer. I did reach out about the corn and was told it was in the pantry, but there wasn't any there. If you are not going to enjoy the outdoors and plan on staying inside this house is perfect. I wish there was a way to provide my pictures for reference.

This was our second time staying at the Lake Cottage. My husband and I loved it so much the first time around, that we wanted to come back for our 10th Anniversary! Highly recommend!! This place meets our expectations everytime and is so peaceful and relaxing. Great place to unwind and getaway. The views here are beautiful, and Diane is an awesome superhost! She's friendly, and attentive to all the needs for your stay to be perfect. The Coastal/Cottage decor really makes the place stand out. it's cute and makes for a relaxing vibe! Will definitely be future stays! This has easily become a favorite spot of ours😉

This is a great place for a family get away! It is lakeside with access to water and a great area for just enjoying the outdoors!

Peggy and her bungalow were wonderful! She was a friendly and great communicator. Let us have super early check in. The place itself was so perfect and charming. They even left us a sweet personalized note on a pegboard sign! 10/10!
