The cottage flanks the vines with an uninterrupted view over our organic vineyard towards the estuary on the horizon. Relax on the terrace and take in its generous views over the landscape, take a dip in your own private pool, open late May-Sept, or stroll through the vines and woodlands that are both equally abundant in the area.

We have preserved its ancient character by preserving the old wooden frames as well as the rubble walls. There are 3 bedrooms for 6 people and a heated pool. La Maison Benaise, our bicentennial farm, welcomes guests who are mainly looking for tranquility and nature (Natura 2000 site). Guests can enjoy beautiful walks in the hilly Charente landscape. Sports enthusiasts can practice mountain biking, canoeing, swimming in the river or lakes around us or simply relax with a book and a drink on the sunny terrace. For children, our four Shetland ponies are ready for a little hug.

A stay at Le Petit Contrefort offers a taste of country life in France, set within the grounds of the owner's property, guests can enjoy the pool, gardens, views, pizza oven, and meet the various animals. We only accept Saturday to Saturday bookings during the peak July and August periods.
