We had the most amazing week with our 4 boys at The Old Guard in May. We have been renting various properties in Hope Cove for many years. Wendy's property is now our absolute favourite!! Not only did we have fabulous weather but the location is just perfect for getting out on the kayaks etc The warm outdoor shower is brilliant for when you get back! The balcony is very large and a great space! The views from the balcony are spectacular and the sunsets incredible. The kitchen had everything you need. They utility area with washer and dryer is very useful staying with a family. The property was really well designed & clean and comfortable to stay in. Wendy had said the parking would be tight, but we got our 2 vehicles in no problem just a bit of time to go back and forth and one is a long wheelbase Mercedes Vito! We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back again! Thank you Wendy for all your messages and prompt replies when we had any questions.

Just returned from the most wonderful break to this gorgeous location absolutely stunning Loved the beautiful location so peaceful and quiet, superb walking, superb beach and incredible sea view from the property which was immaculate absolutely pristine. Cannot recommend this property enough we all had a wonderful time and will definitely return. A truly remarkable place and absolutely perfect 😍 for our family.

The Granary Retreat is well deserving of 5 stars. From being warmly greeted by our hosts through every well thought out detail of this beautiful accommodation. It’s peaceful, extremely clean, very comfortable, finished to a high specification and guests are treated to a few thoughtful extras. This represents great value for money. Well done! we had a very comfortable stay, with everything we needed. The home is peaceful and spacious with beautiful views. The Beach, Burgh island, local shops,cafe, pubs & restaurants are all within walking distance. NB arrive during day light hours as the roads leading to the house are single track and require a lot of patience and focus. We would most deffinatley visit again.
