Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Charleston Harbor

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The location is in a very nice neighborhood and very close to lots of Charleston's favorite things to do. Liz was a great host giving specific directions as well as checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. However, we did not need to request anything additional than what was provided. Check in and check out was an easy process. We will stay here again.

The house was perfect for my family for our vacation. We were close enough to everything we wanted to do while being out of the hustle and bustle of city life. Hoping to get to Charleston again in the future and would definitely stay here again, as long as it would be available. We had the best time!

We had a fantastic stay at "Blackbeard's Captains Quarters" in Folly Beach. This cozy one-bedroom was just right for our small family, including our toddler. The location is perfect: a quick five-minute walk to the beach via the public access trail. The house was clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and coffee bar. The king-size bed in the bedroom was super comfortable, and the fold-out bed was great, too. The neighborhood block is quiet, and we loved the fun backyard space. Parking was a non-issue (you can park in front or back of the property). The outdoor shower was nice (right next to the entry door), and the public laundry room had plenty of beach chairs for our use. Our host, David, was exceptional—proactive, communicative, and provided clear check-in/check-out instructions. This place is a gem for small families or anyone seeking a compact, comfortable stay. Highly recommend! Five stars!

We came back for a third stay for our regular family trip to Charleston. We keep coming back for the household amenities, proximity to playgrounds, restaurants and grocery stores and the fact that the place is equidistant from Folly and downtown.

This place was very clean and well decorated. We felt right at home the whole time! The upkeep of the property is immaculate as well! It was a 10-15 minute drive from Charleston and the beaches, which was perfect when having a toddler that needs to get back for a nap at any point in the day. We would recommend this place to any family visiting Charleston!

Stayed at Jason’s home for a bachelorette trip this past weekend. It was spotless, and there were plenty of towels and toiletries for a big group. Kitchen/living room area was great for lounging. Quick drive to Sullivan’s Island beaches and downtown Charleston. Really great location and home in a nice quiet neighborhood. I would absolutely stay here again!

This place was the perfect location ! 5 min walk to Shem creek and a 10 min Uber drive to the city and Sullivans island ! Lori is really sweet and very accommodating! Will definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Fox Pond. It was in a quiet, peaceful area. The house itself was clean and homey and they provided everything we needed. It’s also extremely close to everything, especially Sullivan’s Island. The sunroom in the back was also a huge plus. The beds were comfortable and I loved that each bedroom had its own full bathroom.

We had a wonderful stay right on King Street—an unbeatable location in the heart of Charleston. The Airbnb was clean and perfect for exploring the downtown on foot. Check-in was smooth, and the host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Charleston.

Loved our stay! This was the most perfect place for our family. It was well stocked with everything we needed and we loved the small treats! They really thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location is also perfect. It’s in a great neighborhood near Shem Creek so you’re close to everything! We hope to be back again!

I had a wonderful stay at Jenny's home. Perfect, safe location for a solo female traveler. Central location so you are only minutes away from the beach and downtown Charleston.

The place was spotless and exactly as described, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. You can really tell he puts care into every detail. Everything was clean, comfortable, and stress-free. We’d absolutely stay again and highly recommend Joseph’s place to anyone looking for a smooth, relaxing getaway!

Great stay! Everything is in driving distance of 5-20 mins and it’s very close to the highway. The host was quick to respond and always offered if we needed anything to let them know. A cute little space to stay.

Airbnb Mary Ann is an excellent host. She was very thoughtful from the beginning giving us a lot of additional information about places to go and helpful suggestions. Her place is very clean and cozy in quite and friendly neighborhood. We felt like we are visiting our friends. She had many little useful details in the bathroom, kitchen, and even outside. We had everything we need to enjoy our stay. Each of the things we wanted to do in the Charleston area was only about 15 minutes away. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. The place was perfect. It was clean, cozy, and exactly as described! Julia and Joan were wonderful hosts, incredibly kind and helpful from start to finish. Their communication was top-notch, and all the thoughtful touches around the place made the stay feel very comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Elizabeth responded quickly to questions. She is friendly and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. We enjoyed her condo so much we extended our stay. The condo itself was very clean and exactly as advertised. Very close to private pier and beach. Was nice to go to the beach without the crowds of public beaches. Very close to Patriotic Point, Forts Sumpter and Moultrie. Many restaurants within walking distance. We hope to make it back next year!

Stunning views from an open deck and a super comfy screened deck. Quiet serene atmosphere. Great kitchen amenities. Would definitely like to return.

Such a great spot, perfect for our babymoon getaway! Absolutely beautiful location, the beach is quite literally right in your backyard. Extremely quiet, private, and peaceful area. Very easy walk (0.3 ish miles) to coffee/breakfast in the morning at The Nest. We enjoyed the Ocean Room and Hege’s both for fantastic dinners. Freshfields shopping is also an easy drive for shops, groceries, and lunch spots. Ron was a wonderful host - we’d love to return!

Everything was awesome. The only negative was we didn’t end up getting check-in access until about 5pm the first day, but we did get an hour later checkout. Would stay again for sure

Everything was as described. The apartment was very clean. It was centrally located between Mt. Pleasant and uptown Charleston.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this beach getaway—both for a wedding and for some much-needed relaxation. The location was excellent, with a very short walk to a private beach and pool. Nikki was extremely responsive and kind. She provided plenty of towels, beach chairs, and beach toys for the kids, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Only a few complaints. Nikki has all of the cooking appliances, but no cooking oil or seasoning. Shower pressure is uncomfortably hard. And the fan in the bedroom is loud, no matter what setting you have it on, other than that everything else was great stay.

Jennifer and Chase were quick to respond to any hiccups that we encountered. The location of the condo was perfect for what we were there for. It was easy to access the beach and a very close walk to the pool. The condo was well stocked with basic essentials, and the decorations were aesthetically pleasing. Parking was plentiful and the overall area felt safe. We loved walking to the ice cream shop and having dole whip. The Acme restaurant was also an easy walk from the condo and I would recommend trying it. There’s a grocery store within a 4 minute drive and the location is close enough to do a nice day trip in Charleston. The coffee shop down the street from the condo wasn’t my cup of tea, but they were friendly and if you just need a quick pick me up it’ll do the trick. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and would come back the Sea Cabins.

Tracey’s place was spotless and had a great view of the ocean. It was our first time visiting the area and Tracey was quick to respond with recommendations for dinner and things to do. We were very happy with our accommodations.
