We are conveniently located for nature preserves, state parks, hiking trails, beautiful beaches, and Mackinaw City / Island. Our home is attached to the guest suite but guests access their suite via a secured private entrance. Our equipped kitchen has a pantry, fresh farm eggs, butter, a home-baked item, ground coffee, and teas.

The Rhubarbary Ruins - with an outdoor sauna

We have just added an outdoor sauna to this fabulous cabin in the woods behind our house. Although there is only 1 proper bedroom there is a sleeping loft with a queen size bed and window overlooking the hardwood forest. We also have a pull-out couch. Guests have complete privacy and everything provided for a comfortable stay This is a cabin with peaceful relaxation in mind....no loud parties or anything of that nature. Come and enjoy northern Michigan's beauty in all seasons.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this incredible property, and it was an unforgettable experience! The location is stunning, with a peaceful waterfront dock where we could relax and enjoy the views of Lake Charlevoix. The highlight was definitely the horses – my daughter is a horse lover and was completely in her element for the entire trip! Every evening, we were sure to visit with them. Julie and Ron went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They were kind, attentive, and truly made us feel at home. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing, nature-filled escape. Can’t wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It was very clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. The large backyard deck and fire pit were enjoyed daily. We appreciated the extensive binder of recommendations and instructions. The kids loved the playroom and art station in the basement. We will definitely stay again!

We were beyond happy with our stay! It's the perfect little cozy space for a smaller group! It has pretty much everything you could need during your time there. It's also SO close to downtown but far enough away to feel peaceful. Would definitely book again if we're ever staying in the area!

Upscale Earl Young Charlevoix Cottage w/ Deck!

The original entry designed by Earl A. Young was accessed via a large covered porch supported by columns constructed with round faceted bolders and bound by a massive back wall with more unique stonework. Since the time of the original construction, the porch has been seamlessly incorporated into the cottage floorplan. Yes, the original open-air porch was ingeniously redesigned into being an interior room! By doing so, the cottage’s sitting room doubled in size and boasts a gigantic set of windows that face Lake Michigan. This Boulder Park stone cottage is located directly on our nation’s “3rd Coast.” Those who don’t appreciate the architectural significance of the cottage, or have not at least been introduced to the life and times of Earl A. Young through literature may just as well book elsewhere. I honestly felt as though my wife and I entered a lottery and were selected to stay at the cottage. The season for “Mushroom House Tours” had not begun that translated to true privacy.

would stay here again and again. great location walkable to any of the shops. 10 min walk from that crepe place which was amazing. across the street from a ice cream shop that's so good. everything inside is clean and well thought out.
