Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Chicago River

Erik was a phenomenal host, went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay at his house. His family were lovely people and helpful with any and all questions. Erik gave is good clear instructions on the best places to go to in the area, how to travel to the city and how to use all the appliances/facilities in the house. I couldn’t recommend him any more, he made our stay really more comforting and laid a great basis for our stay in Chicago. Cheers Erik!

A very nice house close to the metro and in a peaceful suburb. John and Daniel was very welcoming hosts and gave me helpful hints on places to eat in the local area.

Joswe was so incredibly kind and accommodating! Being a solo traveler it felt like a home away from home. The space was clean and comfortable and felt very safe. Joswe even left freshly brewed hot coffee every morning along with breakfast! I couldn't recommend Joswe or his home enough! if I could give more stars, I would!

Samantha was a wonderful host—she was very responsive and proactive in resolving any difficulties I faced, always with kindness. The space itself was spacious and well-suited for a family stay. I especially appreciated how well the bed was maintained, with a comfortable mattress and clean bedclothes. I would definitely choose this place again next time I travel to Chicago. Was a very nice and relaxing place to stay after spending time in the city! Really close to multiple bus stops which made the public transport really easy to access. The inside was very clean and nice, the bed is extremely comfortable! Would stay again!

It couldn't be better. No, it is not a luxury accommodation. It is the classic Airbnb, namely a room in a privately used apartment. Diana lives and works there alone. Above all, out of interest in foreign cultures, she rents a room with an opposite bathroom, which only the guests use. The accommodation is located in the Ukraine district, which is very quiet and about 30 minutes outside the downtown. In the morning, Diana surprised us with a prepared coffee machine (just turn it on), a few cookies and a lovingly prepared fruit plate. Bus no. 66 takes you quickly to the city center. We really enjoyed our time in Chicago. We received a lot of information from Diana, but also had very personal conversations. When we come back to Chicago, we'll check in with Diana! Thank you for the authentic and so lovely stay!!!

This was my first Air Bnb stay & it was 1000% worth it. I stayed at the Marriott OHare for two nights then came here for another two nights and I felt more comfortable, slept better and more at home here. I was able to walk peacefully back after a day in the city with no issues. I was a bit skeptical about the shared space but it was if no one else was really there and the one person I saw was so pleasant and respectful. I would definitely be back here! It felt like my home away from home.

Absolutely amazing host. The space has everything you could think of and more, and he’s incredibly responsive/available. Bed is very comfortable and the apartment is easy to find/get in and out of.

Next to the trains, a apartment with separate bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom, even a laundry room available if necessary and a host who responds quickly and does not hesitate to give advice on Chicago. I highly recommend!

Great place to stay! Can get anywhere in the city, its right off the "L". Not far from Michigan Ave, either. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is traveling to Chicago.

Marcos was incredibly friendly and accommodating! The space was beautifully decorated, and I enjoyed the location perfectly. Very close to transit, plus Marcos recommended great places nearby to eat. A wonderful airbnb experience for solo travelers.

Great place to stay while visiting inner Chicago with a small dog. Easy check-in and check-out, responsive host. Parking garage and small green space nearby as well. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter and I stayed at Izakaya Studio on a recent visit to Chicago. The studio is great and Brett made it so easy to locate everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The next time we stay I hope to spend more time exploring the neighborhood because there were so many restaurants and shops to choose from (lots of open-air patios and decks which would be so nice during the summer season). The walk to the blue line El stop felt safe and quick. We loved the studio's layout. The kitchen and bedroom areas were separate and Brett has two big, comfy chairs for relaxing, and ample island space for eating or using as a work space. My daughter had some virtual work meetings and the Wi-Fi was reliable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you'd need for meal prep. We ate out each day, but our delicious breakfast take-out came from a place right up the street called Yolk. I highly recommend the Izakaya Studio for a relaxing and fun visit to Chicago.

Walid was very kind, and the place is exactly as described. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and overall, the space is very pleasant. I definitely recommend it!

The apartment was clean and spatious, better than in the pictures. It's located in a corner of Hyde Park, at a 15 minute walking distance from the University of Chicago. It is a very residential area, with not many shops or restaurants near by, but if you walk 15 minutes east you will find bars, grocery stores and a few restaurants. I came to do research in the library's archive so it was very convenient. I had some problems with the door code sequence, but Erika was very helpful and responsive. My only suggestion is that more detailed information about the check in is provided, because not everbody is familiarized with lockers and codes! But my general impression was very positive! I'd definitely stay there again.

The neighborhood has a welcoming, upscale vibe, which added to our peace of mind. A quick heads-up: the unit is a second-floor walk-up accessed via a private entry. Inside, as you can see has the spiral staircase; a unique architectural feature, but if you’re traveling with heavy luggage, it’s something to keep in mind. Beautiful place to stay in Pilsen area just what we wanted! Close to downtown and amazing places to eat all around. Easy access to a lot of things to do. Beautiful place, extremely clean! We definitely enjoyed our stay at Laura’s!

My family and I loved our stay; the apartment was adorable and had everything we needed. But the location is truly the highlight! Walking distance to North Ave beach, Lincoln Park Zoo, all the fun restaurants and shops in Old Town, and the famous Second City Comedy Club.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this condo, and as always, it didn’t disappoint! It’s close to great restaurants and lots of things to do. I absolutely love the shared outdoor space as well.
