Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Illinois

This is not the first time I have stayed at Platypus and look forward to my next stay. Danielle etal made me feel comfortable with the beautiful surroundings, peace and quiet, delightful pool and promised amenities. Will be reserving 2026 dates as soon as possible!

The entire space is a giant playground! The scavenger hunt was a great touch! A perfect retro getaway 🤓💿

Can't recommend this place enough. Serene surroundings overlooking the river; watching the barges float by and fish jump was the perfect way to relax. Between the deck, patio, and lower patio, there was always a place to sit and take in the view. Bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, and location was 15-20 minutes from anything you could need in Peoria. Can't wait to return!

The house is in a beautiful location and has everything you need for a nice relaxing vacation! The lake was so peaceful and the kayaks were nice to go out for a little stroll. We really enjoyed watching the wildlife. But the best part of this house is the POOL!! It is a very large, clean and well kept pool. Our stay it was in the 90s everyday and we spent most of our time outside. My extended family live in the area and this was a great place for us to spend the weekend visiting with them. Thanks for allowing us into your home :)

We had a great stay at Brian's place and enjoyed the small town very much. The house was clean and well appointed; we had more than half our meals in. Grocery and restaurants are close, and a small marina is even closer! It's just a walk up and over the levee (no nibbles that day tho). The dog park a short walk around the corner was great for our two pups. We appreciate that Brian's house is pet safe and friendly.

I am originally from Sullivan and try to come “home” every year. This is my favorite place to stay. It’s very close to town and clean as it can be. Everyone who visits me there is amazed at how cute and clean the house is. Thanks Marissa, hope to see you next year.

Our group of adults are children at heart. This stay was a happy mix of throwbacks and childhood memories. The hosts were amazing and attentive and made us feel right at home throughout our entire stay. Would recommended for groups of all ages :)

This is a perfect little get away, peaceful view right in the river. House is beautiful and neighbors on either side were very welcoming and friendly.

Place was so well done- had all the amenities we needed, decorated nicely, and very spacious! A real gem in the heart of a darling small town.

I don’t think I can put in words, what you are getting when you stay here and at that price too! Plenty of space, water and snacks and a huge yard for the kids to run around on. The direction Priscilla gave were needed as Apple Maps took me to not the right house, google maps was spot on but with her directions, we were right as rain. We were only there for one night but it seems like there is enough to do in the town that I could see us coming back for some more time. We would recommend this place to anyone! Thanks again!

Very clean nice neighborhood and very comfortable

This place was amazingly beautiful. I had originally booked it because we were driving through and needed a place to stay and it looked comfortable. But it was wow!! A hidden gem! We hope to come back sometime.

This was my second time staying and it was so nice! It was so comfortable and the place included everything one could need! I would definitely recommend this place!

747 Lofts was our Knight in Shinning Armor! We had to relocate from a nasty ABnB & found this diamond! Was great location, very clean, comfy, & everything worked as it should. Shower & kitchen was better than normal w/higher end/spa feel. Linens were nice & plush, too. Building & area was safe & clean. Love the theme of 747 Lofts! We’ll definitely stay here again when in Chicago!👍👍

this was the perfect Airbnb for my friend, and I when we went into town and saw REO Speedwagon. Barb went above and beyond and even had snacks in the room for us and everything else to make us comfortable and feel welcome. She met us there on our arrival and was so friendly and helpful! her place was very clean and on the outside there was a nice area to sit and enjoy the evening and morning with beautiful flowers and nice atmosphere! Barb went above and beyond to make us feel at home and to be helpful in anyway she could. I would absolutely 100% recommend this Airbnb and hopefully if my friend and I ever return to Champaign we will be staying at this Airbnb! Thanks, Barb

The time spent here was wonderful. This place has everything you need to feel at home away from home. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area was also really nice with tons of food and drinks within walking distance. The blue line is a short walk away and the busses run on the corner. I would definitely stay here again when coming back to Chicago.

The condo was a couple’s dream. Made you want to just live there forever. Very clean and felt like home. Hosts were communicative and courteous. Will definitely book again in the future and would highly recommend!

We loved staying at Kaye’s place ! We loved the eclectic decor and felt right at home. Super easy to get in and super close to public transport which made getting around the city a breeze. Can’t wait to stay again sometime !

Susan’s home was comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and aesthetically pleasing. The bed I slept in was one of the most comfortable of my entire life—I prefer a soft mattress. As far as location goes, the street was quiet, good for walking our dog, and close enough to public transport. Plenty of buses were available. We used street parking for our car and never had problems with finding a close spot to the house whenever we did take the car out. We enjoyed the stay greatly and will stay again. Thank you, Susan!

We stayed at Michelle's place for a long weekend girls trip. The building was secure, quiet and clean. We enjoyed the shared pool, deck, and lounge spaces. I appreciated the secure parking for our vehicle, this was a great bonus. Michelle was easy to communicate with and always prompt to respond. I would recommend Michelle's place to anyone visiting Chicago & the surrounding area.
