Holiday rentals with breakfast in Coimbra

Domingo and his wife Olinda are absolutely gems that I will always treasure in my Heart! I had a lot of questions initially before booking and they were kind to answer everything I needed to know! My stay was super peaceful, the little house was cool on a warm summers day and I slept very good in the bed! It was a blessing to receive home grown yummies from the farm (Potatoes, tomato, apples, grapes, herbs...) and I took some walks into the stunning nature behind the house. I would return there in a heartbeat. The only thing I did not check before booking (which turned out to be a good thing) was that theres NO WIFI - this would't bee something for working travelers that rely on good internet. Also I'd only book in the summer as theres only one coal oven in the kitchen but no other heating in bedroom. This stay is ideal with car. I stayed 5 days without car and I was so grateful that Olinda took me with her to farmers market and supermarket so I had enough food for my stay :) Loved it

one of the most special Airbnbs I have had on my many travels. This is truly a gem of a find. Loved everything about our stay. Wish we had been able to stay longer but hope to return someday.

Vi hade en fantastisk tid här! Så underbar miljö och fridfullt. Alla bekvämligheter vi kunde tänka oss. Precis vad vi sökte när vi för 10 dagar skulle bo i närheten av Coimbra för att en av oss skulle jobba där och resten av familjen ha det bra. Vi åkte runt och upptäckte omgivningen och fann både bra restaurang och butiker en kort bilresa bort. Vi badade i den biologiska poolen och hade också roligt med grodyngel, ödlor och annat man kunde se. Floden nära till hands var också ett härligt ställe att vara vid. Vi plockade grapefrukter från träden och ägg från hönsen. Helena var en fantastisk värd och tänkte på oss direkt när det var strömavbrott i hela Portugal. Vi kände oss trygga och omhändertagna. En av sängarna är väldigt hård men det gick att lösa ok med lite dynor. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

lovely, quiet country get-away. We stayed in March, but especially summer would be great for the wonderful swimming pool/area. The fresh, warm rolls for breakfast were fantastic, cold cuts, cheese, juice, milk, trade, instant coffee and lots of fresh fruit provided are a nice touch! the kitchen is basic, but sufficient. wifi is an older version but worked most of the time. the shower water is nice and hot. We checked in early evening and had some needs; the host responded very friendly and quickly. Enjoy your stay!

Enorm gastvrije ontvangst van Lea. We wilden graag twee aparte bedden en zij heeft ervoor gezorgd dat dit mogelijk was. De ontvangstruimte met open haardvuur en lekkere banken was heel uitnodigend en het diner, de hapjes, de wijn en het ontbijt waren ronduit voortreffelijk! We komen hier graag weer terug en raden het verblijf aan iedereen aan!

Accueil chaleureux de Carla toujours souriante. Carla a le soucis permanent de vous indiquer de bonnes adresses afin d'agrémenter votre séjour.L'appartement d'une propreté impeccable est décoré d'une multitudes d'objets,statues tableaux...J'ai beaucoup apprécié la proximité de l'océan et ses plages à perte de vue. Prendre un verre en admirant chaque jour ce spectacle grandiose,quoi de mieux pour se sentir bien? Je recommande.

Wat een geweldige ervaring om hier te mogen verblijven. Je voelt je de koning(in). De eigenaren leggen je in de watten en helpen met alles. Ze stonden klaar met een stuk taart voor ons! Ook is het verblijf aangenaam qua ruimte, leuk ingericht,schoon en comfortabel. Zelfs met gebruik van zwembad en met ontbijt. Kan niet beter dus!

El apartamento estaba impecable y totalmente equipado, ¡no le faltaba ningún detalle! Uno de los alojamientos más limpios en los que he estado nunca. Además, Lucía nos dejo variedad de fruta, zumo, leche, etc. para el desayuno. Ha sido un verdadero lujo alojarnos en su apartamento. ¡Muchas gracias! ¡¡¡Volveremos!!!

Adoramos o espaço, tem um tudo o que é necessário para uma boa estadia! Encontra-se a 5 minutos de carro de Aveiro, perfeito para quem quer estar perto da cidade e das praias, mas longe da confusão. Adoramos a máquina de café da cozinha 🥰 Tivemos pena de apenas termos ficado uma noite, mas recomendamos imenso! Anfitriões muito simpáticos!

Recomendo a casa thocamalu’s a todos que procuram paz, sossego e um lugar aconchegante, cercado de belas paisagens. Só tenho boas palavras a dizer sobre este lugar.

Estancia muy agradable. Situación muy buena para disfrutar de Aveiro y de Costa Nova. Yo iba solo para dormir, porque tenía planes de visitas, pero la piscina y el salón que me ofrecieron se veían muy bien! Los perrillos también encantadores Y el pastel de nata que prepararon para el desayuno muy muy bueno! Para repetir! Gracias!

A Quinta da Fonte Riba é o local ideal para uma estadia tranquila no meio da natureza. O quarto estava em ótimas condições, a área da piscina é muito agradável e a quinta em si parece uma pequena aldeia. Para além de tudo isto, o Fabrice e a Marie são excelentes anfitriões, muito atenciosos e disponíveis. Adorámos o pequeno almoço preparado pelos mesmos!

We had an excellent stay with Briony and Robyn’s. They were amazing to talk to and gave us lots of history on the place. They welcomed us and made us feel at home. They were extremely accommodating. Breakfast was a real nice touch and a wonderful start to our day! The location was very quiet and peaceful. We would highly recommend this place to everyone

Wonderful house! We felt right at home, hosts made us breakfast every day, and gave us excellent recommendations for local food and activities. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Tondela and looking for a peaceful, relaxing place to stay.

Do not hesitate to book a stay at Jonah and Sonia's bed and breakfast. First, the breakfast is excellent and generous. Second, the room itself and all the amenities are top-notch, comfortable, stylish, and cozy. The location was also great and close to the city center. Granted, there is a lot of elevation change going to and from and city center, but that's a very small price to pay for staying in a quiet, residential neighborhood in Coimbra, which is, of course, built on a hill. Jonah and Sonia were also very gracious hosts, offering to give us recommendations and checking in to see that we were comfortable. Such a far better experience than staying in a hotel or traditional Airbnb. Also, can confirm there is ample street parking nearby.
