Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Columbia County

We had a wonderful time and this house is completely amazing. There is absolutely nothing missing! When Tiffany said, "all you need to bring are clothes" she wasn't joking. The person who designed the house was a genius with the master bedroom on one side of the house, the 2nd bedroom on the other side and the 3rd on the 2nd floor. Privacy inside as well as outside. It was a hiking trip for the family and included Kennedy Park, Olivia Outlook and the Great Monument Mountain. After spending the day hiking, the hot tub, playing pool and watching a movie in the theater just ended a perfect day. We didn't realize how close we were to MA and it was bonus to explore Western Mass as well. Thank you Tiffany for sharing your home with us.

We had the BEST TIME at this fantastic Lakeside house in Valatie!  The house itself has 3 good bedrooms – 2 large bedrooms upstairs with a nice bathroom and tub.  The downstairs has the other cute bedroom, another full bathroom,  a good sized kitchen open to a great and large living and dining area. The VIEW from the main room is stunning and was our ‘TV’ for the week.  The lake is just gorgeous!  It has a little dock with kayaks and plenty of nice seating and lounge chairs.  It’s great to have a full grass lawn !  The pups loved the house and the yard and the lake!  The house was super clean and roomy but cozy in it’s feel.  So many great little towns nearby – it was just the perfect house to get away from the city!  The community was chill, even tho it was Memorial Day weekend.  Thanks to Michael who was super responsive (not that we needed anything!) but if we had a question. Etc.  Thank you Michael ! We hope to be back for another visit !!!  

We had a wonderful stay at James and Lissy’s house! It was perfectly located for getting around the Berkshires. The house was clean, beautiful, and cozy. When we needed to communicate with James and Lissy they were incredibly responsive and helpful. Every year, my friends from high school and I meet up for a reunion in the Berkshires (we have been doing this annually), and the hope is to stay in this very Airbnb next year, if possible/ available! It was an exceptional Airbnb experience!

We appreciated the many amenities of Edward's place. Clean with comfortable beds. Loved the Master rain shower. Amazing, comfortable upstairs suite. Great washer dryer (upstairs). Fenced yard was a good size for our border collies. Sweet Pea's diner in Hillsdale is great, with a broad and varied menu with some creative options and great pies! Don't miss the beautiful park, Roeliff Jansen, a bit further down the road from the diner (8 minutes from house). Lots of walking trails with scenic views of the surrounding mountains and a great creek for dogs to play in. Visit the unique Book Barn and beautiful waterfalls: High Falls (Philmont) and Bash Bish Falls (Taconic State Park).

Beautiful area and beautiful house – well-designed, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed. It looked even better in person than in the photos. The open family area was amazing and spacious. We also had a lot of fun exploring the farm and surrounding property. Definitely one of the loveliest Airbnbs we've stayed at. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this location during my daughter’s graduation from Bard College. The location has beautiful views of the lake and the layout of the property was perfect for the family to gather and celebrate, while also giving everyone the space for their own quiet time or rest. I would definitely recommend this location and hope to have the opportunity to stay again.

Great getaway and launching point for hiking or visiting hudson. We loved grilling and enjoying the hot tub at the end of the day. The place is beautifully decorated and has everything you would need to cook and relax. Thanks!

We loved staying at Carolyn’s place. It was just how the listing and photos described: clean, private, had plenty of amenities, etc. Carolyn was quick to respond to questions, and graciously let us return after checkout to retrieve something we had left behind. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking to stay in the berkshires!

Jeanne’s place was just incredible. The lakefront views, easy access, and water toys make it a fabulous get-away vacation. The patio is delightful with lights, comfortable seating, fan, log burning fire, lounge chairs, and bird feeder that is so fun to watch. The grounds have gorgeous flowers, beautifully maintained. The kitchen is among the best provisioned we have experienced (e.g., blender, gourmet cooking utensils) and Jeanne provides so many extra’s—e.g., coffee, spices, maple syrup, pancake mix. . Although the space is a studio it is so well designed for storage and flexible use that it feels large and comfortable. High quality linens, bath and lake towels are convenient. Jeanne and Jim were very accessible for local recommendations.. We felt like guests in a concierge hotel but with private, relaxing accommodations. This is our second visit and we hope to come back frequently. Highest recommendation for Jeanne’s place.

The location and space were great! I worked remotely during most of my stay and was very comfortable with my set up. The dining table was a perfect desk, with good lighting and wifi! Slept well due to it being so quiet at night. A positive experience overall.

We loved the studio and felt right at home It was a perfect place to stay while exploring the Berkshires, close to both outdoor activities and the offerings of the town. We especially appreciated the beautiful view from the studio which enhanced rest and relaxation. Jill and Steve were great hosts. Highly recommend.

Perfect location in the heart of Hudson yet private. A wonderful and convenient home base for visiting the surrounding area. Thank you! Could not have been more perfect. This is a superb pied et terrre and very easily would stay again when in town!! Thank you!

This was our 2nd weeklong stay. The space is clean and bright. Heating details were clearly explained. It was quiet and peaceful but only a 7 minute drive for milk I forgot to bring for coffee. We saw a small bobcat in the front yard on our last morning. Beds were very comfortable. Hosts were friendly and responsive. I’d recommend this place to friends/family and hope to stay again.

We spent a weekend at Roy's place and had a wonderful stay. The apartment was spotless and located right in the heart of Hudson. Our host Reta was very kind and always prompt in her communication and consideration. At one point there was a small leak to which we were quickly notified. It was repaired before we'd even noticed and we were additionally left with a thoughtful card and delicious muffins. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a large and perfectly situated stay in Hudson.
