Camille’s retreat is a true oasis, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the day. Even when relaxing inside, you feel as if you are in the middle of the garden thanks to the large and plentiful windows surrounding you. The only sounds we heard were the birds, who were also enjoying garden. Camille is welcoming and kind and has truly created a serene and lovely space fo repose. We parked on a quiet street and walked up the driveway to the little studio. They had a coffee pot and hot water heater for tea. A little refrig and microwave. All we needed for a short stay and visit with our daughter and grandkids nearby. The owners were friendly and available if we had questions. I worried we would have trouble finding parking if we came back late, but it was never a problem. If you need a place in that area, it’s very pleasant!

Quiet, peaceful, beautiful garden, responsive host, ample street parking. Definitely worth the price. Plus there's a hot tub you can use after the end of a long day or before the start of one like how we used. MINUTES away from bars, restaurants, and shopping in Oakland. Great location. Victoria’s little cottage was a comfortable and cozy hidden gem! In a great location with some incredibly cute and friendly dogs. We were in town looking for housing as it was a peaceful place to unwind after long days of house hunting! Thank you Victoria for your friendliness and hospitality. After staying at several Airbnbs over the past few weeks on a family road trip, we agreed that Dennis and Amy's thoughtful details made this the best airbnb experience of the trip. It was so clean, comfortable, and cozy. The garden created a peaceful ambiance, and our son had a blast sleeping in the loft. The great coffee, books, and games were also a big plus for us! The Aerie is definitely a hidden gem, we had such a relaxing time. I didn’t even realize a spot like this was available and affordable in Oakland. It was definitely worth hiking up those 108 stairs. Im definitely coming back!

Laura's place was just what I needed for a short respite from a few months of a lot of changes. The location was great for me and was accessible (within walking or short bus ride) to many locations- grocery store a few blocks down and the 88 takes you anywhere from downtown Oakland to Berkeley and beyond. Note-across the street is a very active group of residents that may seem unruly but are actually very amenable- but if you're not used to urban settings I'd ask Laura and Luis more about it. In terms of the space, there my favorite was the spa, which I used almost everyday, adding much needed relaxation. Laura and Luis were super responsive and very warm, which made the stay even more enjoyable. As a tiny home, it's perfect for one person or a very in-tune couple. I would def stay again and thank Laura and Luis for the comfy spot!

We loved staying here! Great neighborhood. Beth’s instructions prior to our arrival were very helpful and we had a very comfortable stay. We loved how convenient the location was. Really enjoyed the nearby eateries.

If you are looking to get ‘off the grid’ this is the place! Very quiet and peaceful… and the place is very very cool. Great outdoor space!

This little house was perfect for our stay. It was so cute, spotless and clean, comfy bed, nice shower and the stove worked well. Melanie was super responsive. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable. Would definitely stay again!

Loved my stay! It was the perfect home base while exploring the Bay Area. Felt super safe—especially as a woman traveling alone—to be behind the main house, a locked gate, and with my own personalized entrance code. The space had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend!

Such a special little spot! Louise’s cabin is cozy and full of charm, surrounded by blooming plants that make the whole place feel like a hidden garden. The outdoor bathroom was surprisingly refreshing and added to the rustic, peaceful vibe. Louise herself is thoughtful, creative, and just a very cool human—clearly a writer’s soul. Grateful for the stay!

It was a really nice stay for me and my two dogs. Extremely nice family, and nice quiet & private place. It was unlike most Airbnb’s in that everything in the interior had a personal touch, it was fully stocked to cook, every possible need, both to cook inside & out. Most AirBnB’s have a bit of an “IKEA” feel, this felt like a true guest house, decorated, quality furniture, extremely clean. The drive in was beautiful, and the unit was great to stay in.

Overall, I had a great stay at the cottage! In a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood (great for walking your dog). The cottage itself was spacious - loved the mini-split AC units and the small enclosed front yard. Highly recommend staying here while in the bay!

This place was great! There's a beautiful view driving up to it which we appreciated it. The instructions were clear and it was a great location for getting around the bay. We usually choose to stay in Richmond/Oakland when we visit the Bay, but this place was exceptional and close to all of the places we usually enjoy visiting. Book and you won't be disappointed!

What a delightful experience! We loved the studio, the beautiful garden patio and the warm welcome we received from Marilyn, Rich, and Koji. We even had chocolate covered strawberries at our door on our first morning - a truly sweet visit. Highly recommend a stay in this oasis!

We love this tiny home, it feels really cozy and you can’t never get bored in this house. There is a bbq, Jacuzzi , and fire outside of the house. The host is very nice and communicate with us through out the stay . The place is nice and clean. If we got a chance to come back we will definitely stay here again 💯
