Villa holiday rentals in Costa Occidental

HPaco and Steven were truly exceptional hosts! We arrived during a surprise blackout, but Paco responded right away and went out of his way to help us settle in—something we deeply appreciated. Their home is beautiful, with a lovely pool and inviting outdoor space. While it was a bit too chilly for a swim during our visit, we could easily imagine enjoying it in warmer weather. The location is ideal—just 30 minutes from Faro and an hour from Lagos—perfect for day trips and exploring the region. We’d absolutely love to return and highly recommend this fantastic place to anyone visiting the area!

Villa Verde looks exactly like the listing. It’s so peaceful there - we hardly left the place! The pool is bigger and deeper than it looks in the pics! Outdoor kitchen and shower are a great bonus. Perfect facilities for a family holiday, including really useful baby/toddler stuff.

Casa com 1 quarto no R/CH e 2 quartos no 1. andar, tranquila, perto de restaurantes e da praia. A casa tinha todos os utensílios e comodidades necessárias para uma estadia agradável e tranquila. O anfitrião foi muito prestável, e providenciou todas as informações necessárias ao funcionamento da casa e dicas para restaurantes e locais para visitar. A piscina é ótima.

A fab stay from start to finish. Rafael and Anna-Sophie were excellent hosts, very responsive and super flexible around our arrival time which was late in the evening. The apartment was very well-equipped and has been designed in a clever way to make the most of the space – it actually feels much bigger than it looks in the photos. The patio balcony with a BBQ was perfect for al-fresco dining, the gardens have been beautifully maintained and the swimming pool was perfect for a hot summers day. You can easily reach the towns of Boliqueime and Loulé by car and the coast is only a c. 20 min drive away. Would definitely recommend, thank you!

Prachtige locatie midden in de natuur met geweldige uitzichten, zeker bij zonsop- en ondergang! Huis van alle gemakken voor zien met heerlijk zwembad. Let er wel op dat je de juiste weg naar het huis toeneemt! Met de gekregen coördinaten gaf Google maps de weg vanuit het oosten aan, die weg is echter zeer smal en slecht begaanbaar (waardoor helaas schade aan de auto). Je moet vanaf westelijke richting naar het huis rijden, wat betekent dat je bij het bruggetje direct rechtsaf moet ipv rechtdoor. Maar niet afschrikken door dit bericht, want het huis is geweldig.

We stayed at Rich & Yan’s place on our family holiday with our 2 year old and it was just perfect for us. It was lovely to have a big patio area outside too within easy reach of the pool (which we used every day!). Everything had been thought of, from children’s books, welcome food and drink, highchair, travel cot etc to the supply of shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash in each bathroom. We loved the clean, homely feel of the place without it feeling too cluttered. The location was perfect for us, allowing us some peace and quiet when we needed but within a 10/15 minute drive of everywhere we needed to be including beautiful beaches and restaurants. The hosts Rich & Yan were very responsive and provided plenty of recommendations and detailed check-in instructions. We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone with a young family!

We had a wonderful weeks stay. Everyone was exactly as described. We arrived very late at night but found the villa so easily from the pin drop provided and so easy to access. We received very welcome recommendations for restaurants and activities and tried a number of these which were excellent. We would definitely return as we enjoyed the villa so much.

This house has a gorgeous view of the sea! Perched high on the cliff and only a few feet from steps that leads directly to a first rate restaurant and direct access to the beach with shops, restaurants and bars. Each of the four bedrooms has a sea view and an ensuite bathroom! The outdoor areas are spacious, with quality furniture and pool loungers...and the pool is sparkling, clean and in great condition!! There is a Nespresso machine but be sure to bring your own pods if you are staying long.There are none at the local grocery store to buy. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with plenty of cups, glasses, plates, bowls, and silverware. We rented the unit in late May during an annual fly hatching season. We had to deal with thousands of flies in the house when we arrived. We were given warning by the owner a few days before arrival. This is not something that can be controlled as it is a seasonable problem, but you should be aware of this if you plan to travel around that time

Very nice villa, great pool (glad we heated it!) and lots of space for our 13-person group. Bathrooms were splendid. It could have a bit more cleaning equipment for guests to use during stay, while parts of the plot aren’t as easy/safe for our 1.5yr old baby to walk around. Other than that: great! Hence, 5*

We were let down by our original villa booking and therefore contacted Maria and hosts to help us out which they did, allowing access within 1 hr of making contact. The villa itself is stunning, set in a quiet location and has everything you need on your doorstep.. a shop, bars and restaurants. We were a family of 5 with a 9 month old baby, there was enough room for all, with outside dining, the perfect pool area & great facilities throughout. The walk to the Marina is 15mins & a few mins in a taxi costing 5euro. We would love to come back and stay here again. Thanks for hosting us!

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable à 16 personnes pour l’EVJF de ma sœur 💍 à la Casa Bela Vida ! La maison est superbe, décorée avec beaucoup de goût, les chambres sont spacieuses, confortables et tout est très propre. L’extérieur est juste magnifique. 🤩 À notre arrivée, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillies par Inès, qui a été disponible et réactive tout au long de notre séjour. L’emplacement est parfait, à 30 minutes de Faro avec un accès rapide à l’autoroute. Nous serions bien restées plus longtemps tant le lieu était agréable ! Un immense merci à Ruben et Vivian, des hôtes adorables, disponibles, à l’écoute et très arrangeants. Je recommande vivement la Casa Bela Vida 🌟 ! Des hôtes au top, pour un lieu qui l’est tout autant. Merci pour tout 💛

Had a wonderful stay with family and friends. Perfect to share with friends and their children. Such a beautiful villa and the grounds were perfect! The views were incredible and a lovely, responsive host! If only the weather could have been better for us! Would definitely visit again!

Large villa for 6 of us. Just a shame we couldn’t use the pool as the weather wasn’t too good. But I’m sure during the summer months once it’s warmed up it’ll be great. Ana was a great host. Thanks again 👍🏻

What a lovely villa in beautiful surroundings! I spent a week here with family and we had a great time. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room and privacy. The gardens and pool area is beautiful and peaceful and the house was immaculate. Carlos was very easy to work with and he was great at communicating and answering any questions that came up. Thank you Carlos for allowing us to stay in your little piece of heaven!

Our extended family of 9 (6 adults and 3 children aged 2-8) stayed here in June 2025. Claudia was a brilliant host, contacted us prior to arrival and was on hand to deal with any queries we had during our stay. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need including tuppawear for leftovers or kids packed lunches. Bedrooms and bathrooms were a great size. The gated pool was one of the main reasons we booked this villa over others, with 3 small children we wanted peace of mind that they would stay safe outside while we weren’t swimming. The outdoor space is lovely with shaded grass area for the children to play. It is also great and evenings on the terrace with a glass of wine once the kids have gone to bed. It’s a 20/25 minute walk to the marina with the option of a convenient uber for those who don’t fancy the walk. We would highly recommend to family and friends.

This villa is absolutely stunning! Amazing views and very clean. Had a lovely stay here . And the perfect holiday with my wife and our three children. Can not fault it in any way. Highly recommended

Lovely, clean villa with all you need. Lovely large plot down a tight lane. Was right next to the railway line but didnt really notice it anymore than the planes or dogs barking occasionally. We were unlucky in the fact that they did railway maintenance on the track at 3am on 3 nights. We were there while the electric outage happened. The host brought us a torch. Top tip make sure you have cash available. There were plenty of loungers to relax around the pool. Recommend a stay at the villa. Added bonus good wi fi and netflix. Very good communication.

Für uns war vor allem der nahegelegene Park perfekt um mit dem Hund laufen zu gehen. Die Lage überhaupt hat uns gut gefallen, es ist schön ruhig. Auch zu Fuss gut nach Olhão Zentrum machbar. Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Wohnung verfügt über alles was man braucht. Wir hatten hier eine sehr gute Zeit!

Lovely villa in excellent condition, with the highest quality fittings, finishes and equipment. Pavel was an excellent host and responded quickly to any request. He was very helpful with ideas, feedback on potential trips, etc. Good pool and jacuzzi which along with the walled garden was extremely well kept and very clean. Mid week towel change and clean was excellent and unobtrusive. Any staff we met were very polite and pleasant. The location was excellent. We had our own transport but it would have been possible to walk to basic shops. Ideally personal transport was needed to get to visit the most attractive and historic nearby towns such as Silve, Loule, Lagos, Alte, Tavira and Paderne which are all worth a visit. The villa has good parking and feels very secure and safe. Bedrooms were all ensuite, of good size, with large comfortable beds and excellent facilities. Good air conditioning and heating included in the overall price. Highly recommended!

Jonathan & Sandra were fantastic hosts. swift and responsive from first enquiry to check out. very considerate hosts, gave local recommendations and provided flexibility. . Everything we needed there, and assistance was available through Greet who met us on arrival and departure and kindly brought additional equipment (scales and large mixer) to us to bake cakes, even bringing extra games suitable for our disabled child. Discreet and also available for anything we needed. The villa was beautiful, the surroundings and grounds breathtaking. Shops a 5 minute drive and all we wanted to see was within 30 minutes, although mainly stayed in and soaked up the serene magic of this location. we didn't hire a car, we used Uber which was easy, reasonable and straightforward. 5 euros to the local supermarket, 15-20 euros to the mar shopping complex, 25 euros to Tavira. An incredible place, wonderful hosts and a firm favourite with our family. thank you so much for everything. ❤

Mini tables by the sunbeds were more handy than we realised. The blankets saved our evenings from the chill. Lots of space in the villa. Easy, convenient, secure parking. Would recommend to anyone.
