Room was comfortable and warm kitchen and bathroom were well equipped and clean a very enjoyable stay wound definitely stay again

Great base for exploring Durham and loads of room for us to relax and spread out. Ample parking, excellent kitchen and facilities and the Christmas tree was a lovely touch.

We stayed 22 nights in this Airbnb and truly felt like we were at home. From the very beginning, communication with Aggie was excellent. Her message was informative and friendly, which gave me confidence in our choice. I mentioned my dust allergy, and she reassured me right away. When we arrived, the house was even cleaner and better maintained than I expected. The house was immaculate, warm, and perfect for our family. The sofa bed in the living room was spacious for me and my 5 year old, and the bedroom had all the amenities for my husband. The bathroom was modern, and the decor made us feel cozy and welcomed. We often forgot we were in an Airbnb, it felt like we were in a friendly home. The family’s dogs were a lovely touch quiet and friendly, adding to the homely feel. Aggie was a true gem, always kind and helpful. We found a new friend, and I can't wait to see her again. Thank you, Aggie, for an unforgettable experience!

Ann is very responsive and accomodating. We relied on her instructions re local places to eat and were didn't regret it. We loved the comfortable bed and warm duvet. The room is facing the back garden, so it was absolutely quiet. We had a very good night sleep and carried on to Durham the next morning, very close.

I have stayed here a number of times so I will do a quick review. They went out of there way to let me into the room early. Darren if you have a problem he will sort it out. A good host

Echo was an extremely helpful host and (even though we arrived at 11.30pm after an unexpectedly long drive) was still up to welcome us, which was above and beyond our expectations. The whole place was immaculately clean and private bathroom was great. Comfy bed and deliciously clean-smelling bed linen. It’s a beautiful, modern, extremely clean house (lovely blue-grey paint colour and aesthetically pleasing artwork). An easy 30 minute walk into the centre, and breakfast is available in the shared kitchen (Echo & James had thought of everything you could want. A peaceful, safe neighbourhood, and the arrival instructions were very clear (although if you’re arriving in the dark, it may take you a little bit longer!). All in all, an excellent stay with extremely accommodating kind hosts. Thank you!

The space was extremely neat and organized.

Great place to stay, cosy with lots of character. Lynne had left us a pint of milk, there were teabags and coffee, some butter, a first aid kit... made us feel so welcome. We were only there a night but would definitely have been very happy to stay longer.

I had a fantastic stay with Mashuda and Andy and felt very comfortable and welcome. The hosts are incredibly open and wonderful people, and the accommodation is very comfortable and has everything you need for a wonderful stay.

Stayed here with my son for a couple of nights whilst visiting family in the area. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was easy walking distance in to the town centre which really handy. Place is modern and high tech...we liked the automated curtains! Would definitely recommend.

Spotlessly clean and infinitely larger than we had anticipated, Clare’s house was a fantastic location to stay while my daughter and I attended a university open day. We were exhausted by the time we got there - 22,000 steps exploring departments & colleges - and it was heavenly to arrive and find we had such a beautiful space to relax & recharge. I am a host myself and I know it’s all the little things - the milk in the fridge, the phone charger cables, the fan in the bedroom - that are worth their weight in gold. Clare went beyond … worth her weight in platinum. When I asked her for a taxi recommendation to get my daughter to a very early train - she came and did the taxi-ing herself. As a mum wanting to know her daughter was safely on the train - that was an immense act of kindness. If I could give 10 ⭐️s - I would.

Lovely house, with a good and enclosed pet friendly back garden, and the property is very well located for both Bishop Auckland town centre and Kynren.

The cottage was cosy, spacious with great furniture. Jayne was also very friendly and accommodating.
