Family-friendly holiday rentals in County Mayo

Booking was a breeze. Contacted the hosts beforehand and they were extremely helpful in narrowing down a date and a check-in time. When we arrived, Dermot was there to greet us and showed us to our place of stay. He made sure that we felt welcomed and if we needed anything at all, not to be afraid to give him a shout. Dermot helped us with organising a take-away and also with setting up the fire and heater. Area was beautiful and peaceful with stunning views of the Ox Mountains range. The barn was far bigger than I expected, with lots of room and everything you could need. Overall, was a very enjoyable experience and would highly recommend it.

As advertised. We had a nice relaxing stay. If you’re looking to unplug for a weekend in a rural area , in a rustic cabin, this is for you. It is not a hotel but glamping but pictures were accurate. Communication was great but be aware no wi fi and cell service didn’t work for us. Hunter the dog guided us on a nice nature walk.

Collanmore Island Lodge is unreal, couldn't recommend it more! We had the best stag weekend ever here and Ciaran is a absolute gent. Getting to the island is easy and exciting, beds are comfy and facilities are top notch. Ideal for big family gatherings or any type of West of Ireland getaway. I will be back again for sure, thank you Ciaran and your great team.

Gorgeous property, very clean and even bigger in person than in pictures. The sauna is lovely however we weren’t able to use the hot tub as it wouldn’t heat even after a strong fire and a few hours and we weren’t able running out of wood.

Mary was so lovely and welcoming. She was easily contactable and so warm and friendly. We were keen to have a bit of privacy and she left us to our own devices to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The location of the apartment is really spectacular. Sitting in the hot tub looking out on the lake was a real highlight of the trip.

Catherine’s Hidden Gem was a wonderful refuge on our road trip around Ireland. So beautifully created, and thoughtfully presented, cosy and delightful. Every amenity provided for our comfort. Great coffee, well stocked fridge, comfy beds, angel lights to guide us home, maps and even a chocolate by the bedside table. Five star accommodation. Catherine was the most amazing host and helped us with her local knowledge, advice and cosmic personality. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you Catherine, we will never forget you. This was my large family’s 2nd time staying at Patricia’s. We chose to stay here again knowing that the house is very well presented, and in an ideal location for us (visiting family in Claremorris and Milltown). Towels are provided, and the kitchen has all the equipment you might need. We love how spacious the house is, the kids really enjoyed the garden, which is huge and secure. The views are stunning (even when the weather is not so good), and the area is very quiet and tranquil. I would recommend Patricia’s to anyone looking to stay in the area ☺️ Thanks, Heather x

A beautiful location and cottage, the wood burner makes it suitable for all weather conditions, and William was kind enough to restock the wood when we ran out. He also offered recommendations for walks and hikes

Lovely cottage under Minaun cliffs with fabulous views looking back over Keel beach from the kitchen table. The patio and garden area are the perfect place for a bit of outdoor dining. The cottage had everything you need. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cosy Cottage. With the wood burner lit for our arrival, the cottage certainly lived up to its name. Cosy and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend a visit to the Beach Bar for drinks, food and the atmosphere. The Aughris coastal walk is worth doing. the views are stunning.

fantastic 4 days, great location but with a car, peaceful, dogs loved it plenty of space clean. easy to find with the sat nav. Mary did send directions also which where perfect but the sat nav was 100 percent. just a great few days away with the dogs and a lot of sightseeing

Marie was a superstar host, she made bread and a tart for us and had the fridge and pantry stocked with staples!

What a brilliant find! Donald's home was immaculate and communication excellent. We really appreciated the goodies left for us and the well stocked kitchen - all you could need for your stay was there. The location of the property was great for us, a short walk into Strand hill front with it's brilliant pubs, restaurants and Mammy Johnston's ice-cream! The walk back is on a bit of a slope, fine for us but worth noting. The locations was a perfect base to explore the beautiful coastline and surrounding areas. Waterfalls, mountains and beauty everywhere! We are already planning our next trip to this part of the world.

A beautiful peaceful location located in very close proximity to Cong village. Sinead is a very responsive host and I have no hesitation in recommending The Loft.

Lovely place by the river, very close to all amenities, tastefully decorated inside.

This was our fourth time staying at Richard's Airbnb, and it was as fantastic as ever. Richard is extremely friendly, responsive, professional, warm, and welcoming. His Airbnb truly feels like home away from home in Ireland. The apartment is beautiful and always clean, the shower is great, the location is perfect, and we love exploring the area. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was cozy and quiet. The property is beautiful and there were lovely grounds and woods to explore. John provided us with a fascinating tour of historic Lisdonagh House. They also gave us helpful recommendations for sites to visit in the area.

Majella’s place was perfect for my family of 5. It had every amenity listed. The location was beautiful and private, it was easy to find. If we’re able to come back we would love to stay here again.

I’ve been to Westport multiple times and I always stay at John’s place. Great location, modern apartment. Tricia is a terrific hostess.
